Ψαλμοί 130

1 «Ωιδή των Αναβαθμών.» Εκ βαθέων έκραξα προς σε, Κύριε.

Yahweh, I have a lot of troubles/many difficulties, so I call out to you.

2 Κύριε, εισάκουσον της φωνής μου· ας ήναι τα ώτα σου προσεκτικά εις την φωνήν των δεήσεών μου.

Yahweh, hear me, while I call out to you [SYN] to be merciful to me!

3 Εάν, Κύριε, παρατηρήσης ανομίας, Κύριε, τις θέλει δυνηθή να σταθή;

Yahweh, if you kept a record of the sins [that we have committed], not one [of us] [RHQ] would escape from being condemned [and punished]

4 Παρά σοι όμως είναι συγχώρησις, διά να σε φοβώνται.

But you forgive us, with the result that we greatly revere you.

5 Προσέμεινα τον Κύριον, προσέμεινεν η ψυχή μου, και ήλπισα επί τον λόγον αυτού.

Yahweh has said [that he would help/rescue me]; I trust what he said, and I wait eagerly for him to do that.

6 Η ψυχή μου προσμένει τον Κύριον, μάλλον παρά τους προσμένοντας την αυγήν, ναι, τους προσμένοντας την αυγήν.

I wait for Yahweh [to help me] more than watchmen wait for the light to dawn; yes, I wait more eagerly than they do!

7 Ας ελπίζη ο Ισραήλ επί τον Κύριον· διότι παρά τω Κυρίω είναι έλεος, και λύτρωσις πολλή παρ' αυτώ·

You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will bless us]. [He will bless us] because he faithfully loves [us], and he is very willing to save/rescue [us].

8 και αυτός θέλει λυτρώσει τον Ισραήλ από πασών των ανομιών αυτού.

And he will save us Israeli [people] from [being punished for] all the sins that [we] have committed.
