Ψαλμοί 104
1 Ευλόγει, η ψυχή μου, τον Κύριον. Κύριε Θεέ μου, εμεγαλύνθης σφόδρα· τιμήν και μεγαλοπρέπειαν είσαι ενδεδυμένος·
Bless the LORD, my soul. The LORD, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with splendor and majesty.
2 ο περιτυλιττόμενος το φως ως ιμάτιον, ο εκτείνων τον ουρανόν ως καταπέτασμα·
He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
3 ο στεγάζων με ύδατα τα υπερώα αυτού· ο ποιών τα νέφη άμαξαν αυτού· ο περιπατών επί πτερύγων ανέμων·
He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.
4 ο ποιών τους αγγέλους αυτού πνεύματα, τους λειτουργούς αυτού πυρός φλόγα·
He makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.
5 ο θεμελιών την γην επί την βάσιν αυτής, διά να μη σαλευθή εις τον αιώνα του αιώνος.
He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever and ever.
6 Με την άβυσσον, ως με ιμάτιον, εκάλυψας αυτήν· τα ύδατα εστάθησαν επί των ορέων·
You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.
7 από επιτιμήσεώς σου έφυγον· από της φωνής της βροντής σου εσύρθησαν εν βία·
At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
8 ανέβησαν εις τα όρη, κατέβησαν εις τας κοιλάδας, εις τόπον, τον οποίον διώρισας δι' αυτά·
The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.
9 έθεσας όριον, το οποίον δεν θέλουσιν υπερβή ουδέ θέλουσιν επιστρέψει διά να σκεπάσωσι την γην.
You have set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they do not turn again to cover the earth.
10 Ο εξαποστέλλων πηγάς εις τας φάραγγας, διά να ρέωσιν αναμέσον των ορέων·
He sends forth springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.
11 ποτίζουσι πάντα τα θηρία του αγρού· οι άγριοι όνοι σβύνουσι την δίψαν αυτών·
They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12 πλησίον αυτών τα πετεινά του ουρανού κατασκηνούσι, και αναμέσον των κλάδων κελαδούσιν.
The birds of the sky nest by them; among the branches they give forth a sound.
13 Ο ποτίζων τα όρη εκ των υπερώων αυτού· από του καρπού των έργων σου χορταίνει η γη.
He waters the mountains from his chambers. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
14 Ο αναδίδων χόρτον διά τα κτήνη και βοτάνην προς χρήσιν του ανθρώπου, διά να εξάγη τροφήν εκ της γης,
He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food out of the earth:
15 και οίνον ευφραίνοντα την καρδίαν του ανθρώπου, έλαιον διά να λαμπρύνη το πρόσωπον αυτού, και άρτον στηρίζοντα την καρδίαν του ανθρώπου.
wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart.
16 Εχορτάσθησαν τα δένδρα του Κυρίου· αι κέδροι του Λιβάνου, τας οποίας εφύτευσεν·
The LORD's trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;
17 Όπου τα πετεινά κάμνουσι φωλεάς· αι πεύκαι είναι η κατοικία του πελαργού.
where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the fir trees.
18 Τα όρη τα υψηλά είναι διά τας δορκάδας· αι πέτραι καταφυγή εις τους δασύποδας.
The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19 Έκαμε την σελήνην διά τους καιρούς· ο ήλιος γνωρίζει την δύσιν αυτού.
He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.
20 Φέρεις σκότος, και γίνεται νύξ· εν αυτή περιφέρονται πάντα τα θηρία του δάσους·
You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.
21 οι σκύμνοι βρυχώνται διά να αρπάσωσι, και να ζητήσωσι παρά του Θεού την τροφήν αυτών.
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
22 Ο ήλιος ανατέλλει· συνάγονται και πλαγιάζουσιν εν τοις σπηλαίοις αυτών·
The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.
23 εξέρχεται ο άνθρωπος εις το έργον αυτού και εις την εργασίαν αυτού έως εσπέρας.
Man goes forth to his work, to his labor until the evening.
24 Πόσον μεγάλα είναι τα έργα σου, Κύριε· τα πάντα εν σοφία εποίησας· η γη είναι πλήρης των ποιημάτων σου·
LORD, how many are your works. In wisdom have you made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
25 αύτη η θάλασσα η μεγάλη και ευρύχωρος. Εκεί είναι ερπετά αναρίθμητα, ζώα μικρά μετά μεγάλων·
There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.
26 εκεί διατρέχουσι τα πλοία· εκεί ο Λευϊάθαν ούτος, τον οποίον έπλασας διά να παίζη εν αυτή.
There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.
27 Πάντα ταύτα επί σε ελπίζουσι, διά να δώσης εν καιρώ την τροφήν αυτών.
All of them look to you to give them their food at the proper time.
28 Δίδεις εις αυτά, συνάγουσιν· ανοίγεις την χείρα σου, χορταίνουσιν αγαθά.
You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
29 Αποστρέφεις το πρόσωπόν σου, ταράττονται· σηκόνεις την πνοήν αυτών, αποθνήσκουσι και εις το χώμα αυτών επιστρέφουσιν·
You hide your face: they are troubled; you take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.
30 εξαποστέλλεις το πνεύμά σου, κτίζονται, και ανανεόνεις το πρόσωπον της γης.
You send forth your Spirit: they are created. You renew the face of the ground.
31 Η δόξα του Κυρίου έστω εις τον αιώνα· ας ευφραίνεται ο Κύριος εις τα έργα αυτού·
Let the glory of the LORD endure forever. Let the LORD rejoice in his works.
32 ο επιβλέπων επί την γην και κάμνων αυτήν να τρέμη· εγγίζει τα όρη, και καπνίζουσι.
He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33 Θέλω ψάλλει εις τον Κύριον ενόσω ζώ· θέλω ψαλμωδεί εις τον Θεόν μου ενόσω υπάρχω.
I will sing to the LORD all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I exist.
34 Η εις αυτόν μελέτη μου θέλει είσθαι γλυκεία· εγώ θέλω ευφραίνεσθαι εις τον Κύριον.
Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in the LORD.
35 Ας εκλείψωσιν οι αμαρτωλοί από της γης και οι ασεβείς ας μη υπάρχωσι πλέον. Ευλόγει, η ψυχή μου, τον Κύριον. Αλληλούϊα.
Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, my soul. Praise the LORD.
