Προς Φιλιππησιους 3
1 Το λοιπόν, αδελφοί μου, χαίρετε εν Κυρίω. Το να σας γράφω τα αυτά εις εμέ μεν δεν είναι οχληρόν, εις εσάς δε ασφαλές.
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord; to write the same things to you, to me is not burdensome, and for you it is safe.
2 Προσέχετε τους κύνας, προσέχετε τους κακούς εργάτας, προσέχετε την κατατομήν·
Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workmen, beware of the concision.
3 διότι ημείς είμεθα η περιτομή, οι λατρεύοντες τον Θεόν εν Πνεύματι και καυχώμενοι εις τον Χριστόν Ιησούν και μη έχοντες την πεποίθησιν εν τη σαρκί,
For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;
4 αν και εγώ έχω πεποίθησιν και εν τη σαρκί. Εάν τις άλλος νομίζη ότι έχει πεποίθησιν εν τη σαρκί, εγώ περισσότερον·
though I myself have reason for confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath reason for confidence in the flesh, I more;
5 περιτετμημένος την ογδόην ημέραν, εκ γένους Ισραήλ, εκ φυλής Βενιαμίν, Εβραίος εξ Εβραίων, κατά νόμον Φαρισαίος,
circumcised the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee;
6 κατά ζήλον διώκτης της εκκλησίας, κατά την δικαιοσύνην την διά του νόμου διατελέσας άμεμπτος.
as to zeal, persecuting the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, blameless.
7 Πλην εκείνα, τα οποία ήσαν εις εμέ κέρδη, ταύτα ενόμισα ζημίαν διά τον Χριστόν·
But whatever things were gain to me, those for the sake of Christ I have counted but loss.
8 μάλιστα δε και νομίζω τα πάντα ότι είναι ζημία διά το έξοχον της γνώσεως του Ιησού Χριστού του Κυρίου μου, διά τον οποίον εζημιώθην τα πάντα, και λογίζομαι ότι είναι σκύβαλα διά να κερδήσω τον Χριστόν
Nay more, I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, that I may gain Christ,
9 και να ευρεθώ εν αυτώ μη έχων ιδικήν μου δικαιοσύνην την εκ του νόμου, αλλά την διά πίστεως του Χριστού, την δικαιοσύνην την εκ Θεού διά της πίστεως,
and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God upon faith;
10 διά να γνωρίσω αυτόν και την δύναμιν της αναστάσεως αυτού και την κοινωνίαν των παθημάτων αυτού, συμμορφούμενος με τον θάνατον αυτού,
that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, while becoming like him in his death,
11 ίσως καταντήσω εις την εξανάστασιν των νεκρών.
if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Ουχί ότι έλαβον ήδη το βραβείον ή έγεινα ήδη τέλειος, τρέχω όμως κατόπιν, ίσως λάβω αυτό, διά το οποίον και ελήφθην υπό του Ιησού Χριστού.
Not that I have already obtained, or have been already perfected; but I press on, if I may also lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ.
13 Αδελφοί, εγώ δεν στοχάζομαι εμαυτόν ότι έλαβον αυτό· αλλ' εν πράττω· τα μεν οπίσω λησμονών, εις δε τα έμπροσθεν επεκτεινόμενος,
Brethren, I do not reckon myself to have laid hold of it; but one thing I do, forgetting the things that are behind, and stretching forth to the things that are before,
14 τρέχω προς τον σκοπόν διά το βραβείον της άνω κλήσεως του Θεού εν Χριστώ Ιησού.
I press toward the mark for the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Όσοι λοιπόν είμεθα τέλειοι, τούτο ας φρονώμεν· και εάν φρονήτε τι άλλως πως, και τούτο θέλει αποκαλύψει εις εσάς ο Θεός.
Let us, therefore, as many as are perfect, be of this mind; and if ye have a different mind in anything, even this will God reveal to you.
16 Πλην εις εκείνο, εις το οποίον εφθάσαμεν, ας περιπατώμεν κατά τον αυτόν κανόνα, ας φρονώμεν το αυτό.
Nevertheless, whereto we have reached, in that let us walk.
17 Αδελφοί, συμμιμηταί μου γίνεσθε και παρατηρείτε τους όσοι περιπατούσιν ούτω, καθώς έχετε τύπον ημάς.
Brethren, be ye followers together of me, and mark those who walk as ye have us for an example.
18 Διότι περιπατούσι πολλοί, τους οποίους σας έλεγον πολλάκις, τώρα δε και κλαίων λέγω, ότι είναι οι εχθροί του σταυρού του Χριστού,
For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ;
19 των οποίων το τέλος είναι απώλεια, των οποίων ο Θεός είναι η κοιλία, και η δόξα αυτών είναι εν τη αισχύνη αυτών, οίτινες φρονούσι τα επίγεια.
whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, whose mind is on earthly things.
20 Διότι το πολίτευμα ημών είναι εν ουρανοίς, οπόθεν και προσμένομεν Σωτήρα τον Κύριον Ιησούν Χριστόν,
For the country of which we are citizens is heaven, whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 όστις θέλει μετασχηματίσει το σώμα της ταπεινώσεως ημών, ώστε να γείνη σύμμορφον με το σώμα της δόξης αυτού κατά την ενέργειαν, διά της οποίας δύναται και να υποτάξη τα πάντα εις εαυτόν.
who will transform the body of our humiliation so that it shall be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of the power with which he is able to subdue all things to himself.
