Ἀριθμοί 8

1 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, λέγων,

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Λάλησον προς τον Ααρών, και ειπέ προς αυτόν, Όταν ανάψης τους λύχνους, οι επτά λύχνοι θέλουσι φωτίζει κατά πρόσωπον της λυχνίας.

Speak to Aaron, and thou shalt say to him, Whenever thou shalt set the lamps in order, the seven lamps shall give light opposite the candlestick.

3 Και ο Ααρών έκαμεν ούτως· ήναψε κατά πρόσωπον της λυχνίας τους λύχνους αυτής, καθώς προσέταξεν ο Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν.

And Aaron did so: on one side opposite the candlestick he lighted its lamps, as the Lord appointed Moses.

4 Αύτη δε ήτο η κατασκευή της λυχνίας από χρυσίου σφυρηλάτου· και ο κορμός αυτής και τα άνθη αυτής, ήτο όλη σφυρήλατος· κατά το σχέδιον, το οποίον έδειξεν ο Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν, ούτως έκαμε την λυχνίαν.

And this [is] the construction of the candlestick: [it is] solid, golden—its stem, and its lilies—all solid: according to the pattern which the Lord shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

5 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, λέγων,

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

6 Λάβε τους Λευΐτας εκ μέσου των υιών Ισραήλ και καθάρισον αυτούς.

Take the Levites out of the midst of the children of Israel, and thou shalt purify them.

7 Και ούτω θέλεις κάμει εις αυτούς διά τον καθαρισμόν αυτών· ράντισον επ' αυτούς ύδωρ καθαρισμού και ας περάσωσι ξυράφιον δι' όλου του σώματος αυτών και ας πλύνωσι τα ενδύματα αυτών και ας καθαρισθώσιν.

And thus shalt thou perform their purification: thou shalt sprinkle them with water of purification, and a razor shall come upon the whole of their body, and they shall wash their garments, and shall be clean.

8 Έπειτα ας λάβωσιν ένα μόσχον εκ βοών μετά της εξ αλφίτων προσφοράς αυτού από σεμιδάλεως εζυμωμένης μετά ελαίου, και ένα άλλον μόσχον εκ βοών θέλεις λάβει εις προσφοράν περί αμαρτίας.

And they shall take one calf of the herd, and its meat-offering, fine flour mingled with oil: and thou shalt take a calf of a year old of the herd for a sin-offering.

9 Και θέλεις φέρει τους Λευΐτας έμπροσθεν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου και θέλεις συνάξει όλην την συναγωγήν των υιών Ισραήλ·

And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of witness; and thou shalt assemble all the congregation of the sons of Israel.

10 και θέλεις φέρει τους Λευΐτας έμπροσθεν του Κυρίου, και θέλουσιν επιθέσει οι υιοί Ισραήλ τας χείρας αυτών επί τους Λευΐτας.

And thou shalt bring the Levites before the Lord; and the sons of Israel shall lay their hands upon the Levites.

11 και ο Ααρών θέλει προσφέρει τους Λευΐτας ενώπιον του Κυρίου προσφοράν παρά των υιών Ισραήλ, διά να υπηρετώσι την υπηρεσίαν του Κυρίου.

And Aaron shall separate the Levites for a gift before the Lord from the children of Israel: and they shall be prepared to perform the works of the Lord.

12 Και οι Λευΐται θέλουσιν επιθέσει τας χείρας αυτών επί τας κεφαλάς των μόσχων, και θέλεις προσφέρει τον ένα περί αμαρτίας και τον άλλον δι' ολοκαύτωμα εις τον Κύριον· διά να κάμης εξιλέωσιν υπέρ των Λευϊτών.

And the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the calves; and thou shalt offer one for a sin-offering, and the other for a whole-burnt-offering to the Lord, to make atonement for them.

13 Και θέλεις στήσει τους Λευΐτας έμπροσθεν του Ααρών και έμπροσθεν των υιών αυτού· και θέλεις προσφέρει αυτούς προσφοράν εις τον Κύριον.

And thou shalt set the Levites before the Lord, and before Aaron, and before his sons; and thou shalt give them as a gift before the Lord.

14 Ούτω θέλεις αποχωρίσει τους Λευΐτας εκ μέσου των υιών Ισραήλ, και οι Λευΐται θέλουσιν είσθαι εμού.

And thou shalt separate the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and they shall be mine.

15 Και μετά ταύτα θέλουσιν εισέλθει οι Λευΐται διά να υπηρετώσι την σκηνήν του μαρτυρίου· και θέλεις καθαρίσει αυτούς και θέλεις προσφέρει αυτούς προσφοράν.

And afterwards the Levites shall go in to perform the works of the tabernacle of witness; and thou shalt purify them, and present them before the Lord.

16 Διότι ούτοι είναι δεδομένοι δώρον εις εμέ εκ μέσου των υιών Ισραήλ· αντί των διανοιγόντων πάσαν μήτραν, πάντων των πρωτοτόκων των υιών Ισραήλ έλαβον αυτούς εις εμαυτόν.

For these are given to me for a present out of the midst of the children of Israel: I have taken them to myself instead of all the first-born of the sons of Israel that open every womb.

17 Διότι πάντα τα πρωτότοκα των υιών Ισραήλ είναι εμού, από ανθρώπου έως κτήνους· καθ' ην ημέραν επάταξα πάντα τα πρωτότοκα εν τη γη της Αιγύπτου, ηγίασα αυτούς εις εμαυτόν·

For every first-born among the children of Israel [is] mine, whether of man or beast: in the day in which I smote every first-born in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them to myself.

18 και έλαβον τους Λευΐτας αντί πάντων των πρωτοτόκων των υιών Ισραήλ.

And I took the Levites in the place of every first-born among the children of Israel.

19 Και έδωκα τους Λευΐτας δώρον εις τον Ααρών και εις τους υιούς αυτού, εκ μέσου των υιών Ισραήλ, διά να υπηρετώσι την υπηρεσίαν των υιών Ισραήλ εν τη σκηνή του μαρτυρίου, και διά να κάμνωσιν εξιλέωσιν υπέρ των υιών Ισραήλ· διά να μη ήναι πληγή επί τους υιούς Ισραήλ, εάν πλησιάσωσιν οι υιοί Ισραήλ εις τα άγια.

And I gave the Levites presented as a gift to Aaron and his sons out of the midst of the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of witness, and to make atonement for the children of Israel: thus there shall be none among the sons of Israel to draw nigh to the holy things.

20 Και έκαμον ο Μωϋσής και ο Ααρών και πάσα η συναγωγή των υιών Ισραήλ εις τους Λευΐτας, κατά πάντα όσα προσέταξε Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν περί των Λευϊτών· ούτως έκαμον εις αυτούς οι υιοί Ισραήλ.

And Moses and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites as the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the sons of Israel did to them.

21 Και εκαθαρίσθησαν οι Λευΐται και έπλυναν τα ιμάτια αυτών· και προσέφερεν αυτούς ο Ααρών προσφοράν ενώπιον του Κυρίου, και ο Ααρών έκαμεν υπέρ αυτών εξιλέωσιν διά να καθαρίση αυτούς.

So the Levites purified themselves and washed their garments; and Aaron presented them as a gift before the Lord, and Aaron made atonement for them to purify them.

22 Και μετά ταύτα εισήλθον οι Λευΐται διά να υπηρετώσι την υπηρεσίαν αυτών εν τη σκηνή του μαρτυρίου έμπροσθεν του Ααρών και έμπροσθεν των υιών αυτού· καθώς προσέταξεν ο Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν περί των Λευϊτών, ούτως έκαμον εις αυτούς.

And afterwards the Levites went in to minister in their service in the tabernacle of witness before Aaron, and before his sons; as the Lord appointed Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.

23 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, λέγων,

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

24 Τούτο είναι το περί των Λευϊτών· από εικοσιπέντε ετών και επάνω θέλουσιν εισέρχεσθαι να εκτελώσι την υπηρεσίαν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου·

This is the [ordinance] for the Levites; From five and twenty years old and upward, they shall go in to minister in the tabernacle of witness.

25 και από πεντήκοντα ετών θέλουσι παύεσθαι του να εκτελώσι την υπηρεσίαν και δεν θέλουσιν υπηρετεί πλέον·

And from fifty years old [the Levites] shall cease from the ministry, and shall not work any longer.

26 αλλά θέλουσιν υπουργεί εις τους αδελφούς αυτών εν τη σκηνή του μαρτυρίου, διά να φυλάττωσι τας φυλακάς· υπηρεσίαν όμως δεν θέλουσι κάμνει. Ούτω θέλεις κάμει εις τους Λευΐτας ως προς τας φυλακάς αυτών.

And his brother shall serve in the tabernacle of witness to keep charges, but he shall not do works: so shalt thou do to the Levites in their charges.
