Ἀριθμοί 3

1 Αύται δε είναι αι γενεαί του Ααρών και του Μωϋσέως, την ημέραν καθ' ην ελάλησεν ο Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν επί του όρους Σινά.

Now, these, were the pedigrees of Aaron and Moses, —in the day when Yahweh spake with Moses in Mount Sinai.

2 Και ταύτα είναι τα ονόματα των υιών του Ααρών· Ναδάβ ο πρωτότοκος και Αβιούδ, Ελεάζαρ και Ιθάμαρ.

And these, are the names of the sons of Aaron—the firstborn Nadab, —and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3 Ταύτα είναι τα ονόματα των υιών του Ααρών, των ιερέων των κεχρισμένων, οίτινες καθιερώθησαν διά να ιερατεύωσιν.

These, are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests that were anointed, —who were installed to minister as priests.

4 Απέθανε δε ο Ναδάβ και ο Αβιούδ ενώπιον του Κυρίου, ενώ προσέφερον πυρ ξένον ενώπιον του Κυρίου εν τη ερήμω Σινά, και τέκνα δεν είχον· και ιεράτευσεν ο Ελεάζαρ και ο Ιθάμαρ ενώπιον Ααρών του πατρός αυτών.

But Nadab and Abihu died before Yahweh when they brought near strange fire before Yahweh in the desert of Sinai, and sons, had they none, —so then Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests, in the presence of Aaron their father.

5 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, λέγων,

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—

6 Φέρε την φυλήν του Λευΐ και παράστησον αυτούς έμπροσθεν Ααρών του ιερέως, διά να υπηρετώσιν εις αυτόν.

Bring near the tribe of Levi, and thou shalt cause it to stand before Aaron the priest, —so shall they wait upon him;

7 Και θέλουσι φυλάττει τας φυλακάς αυτού και τας φυλακάς πάσης της συναγωγής έμπροσθεν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου, εκτελούντες τας υπηρεσίας της σκηνής.

so shall they keep his charge, and the charge of all the assembly, before the tent of meeting, —to do the laborious work of the habitation;

8 Και θέλουσι φυλάττει πάντα τα σκεύη της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου και τας φυλακάς των υιών Ισραήλ, εκτελούντες τας υπηρεσίας της σκηνής.

so shall they have charge of all the furniture of the tent of meeting, even the charge of the sons of Israel, —to do the laborious work of the habitation.

9 Και θέλεις δώσει τους Λευΐτας εις τον Ααρών και εις τους υιούς αυτού· ούτοι είναι δεδομένοι δώρον εις αυτόν εκ των υιών Ισραήλ.

Thus shalt thou give the Levites unto Aaron and unto his sons, —given, given, they are unto him, from among the sons of Israel;

10 Τον δε Ααρών και τους υιούς αυτού θέλεις καταστήσει εις το να εκτελώσι τα της ιερατείας αυτών· όστις δε ξένος πλησιάση θέλει θανατόνεσθαι.

but unto Aaron, and unto his sons, shalt thou give oversight, so shall they keep charge of their priesthood, —and, the stranger who cometh near, shall be put to death.

11 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, λέγων,

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—

12 Ιδού, εγώ έλαβον τους Λευΐτας εκ μέσου των υιών Ισραήλ, αντί παντός πρωτοτόκου διανοίγοντος μήτραν εκ των υιών Ισραήλ· και θέλουσιν είσθαι οι Λευΐται εμού.

I, therefore, lo! I have taken the Levites out of the midst of the sons of Israel, instead of every firstborn that a mother beareth, from among the sons of Israel, —so shall the Levites be mine;

13 Διότι παν πρωτότοκον είναι εμού· επειδή καθ' ην ημέραν επάταξα παν πρωτότοκον εν γη Αιγύπτου, ηγίασα εις εμαυτόν παν πρωτότοκον εν τω Ισραήλ, από ανθρώπου έως κτήνους· εμού θέλουσιν είσθαι. Εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

for, mine, is every firstborn, in the day when I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed unto myself every firstborn in Israel, both of man and of beast, —mine, did they become, and belong unto me, Yahweh.

14 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν εν τη ερήμω Σινά, λέγων,

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, in the desert of Sinai, saying: —

15 Απαρίθμησον τους υιούς Λευΐ κατά τους οίκους των πατέρων αυτών, κατά τας συγγενείας αυτών· παν αρσενικόν από ενός μηνός και επάνω θέλεις απαριθμήσει αυτούς.

Number thou the sons of Levi, by their ancestral houses, by their families, —every male, from one month old and upwards, shalt thou number them.

16 Και απηρίθμησεν αυτούς ο Μωϋσής, κατά τον λόγον του Κυρίου, ως προσετάχθη.

So then Moses numbered them according to the bidding of Yahweh, —as he was commanded.

17 Ήσαν δε ούτοι οι υιοί Λευΐ κατά τα ονόματα αυτών· Γηρσών, και Καάθ, και Μεραρί.

And these were the sons of Levi, by their names, —Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.

18 Και ταύτα ήσαν τα ονόματα των υιών Γηρσών, κατά τας συγγενείας αυτών· Λιβνί, και Σεμεΐ.

And these, the names of the sons of Gershon by their families, —Libni and Shimei.

19 Και οι υιοί Καάθ, κατά τας συγγενείας αυτών, Αμράμ, και Ισαάρ, Χεβρών, και Οζιήλ.

And, the sons of Kohath, by their families Amram, and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.

20 Και οι υιοί Μεραρί, κατά τας συγγενείας αυτών, Μααλί, και Μουσί. Αύται είναι αι συγγένειαι των Λευϊτών, κατά τους οίκους των πατέρων αυτών.

And the sons of Merari by their families, Mahli and Mushi. These, are they—the families of the Levites by their ancestral houses.

21 Εκ του Γηρσών ήτο η συγγένεια του Λιβνί, και η συγγένεια του Σεμεΐ· αύται είναι αι συγγένειαι των Γηρσωνιτών.

To, Gershon, belonged the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimeites, —these, are they—the families of the Gershonites.

22 Οι απαριθμηθέντες αυτών κατά τον αριθμόν πάντων των αρσενικών από ενός μηνός και επάνω, οι απαριθμηθέντες αυτών ήσαν επτά χιλιάδες και πεντακόσιοι.

They who were numbered of them in the counting of every male, from one month old, and upwards, —they who were num-bered of them, were seven thousand and five hundred.

23 Αι συγγένειαι των Γηρσωνιτών θέλουσι στρατοπεδεύει όπισθεν της σκηνής προς δυσμάς.

the families of the Gershonites, to the rear of the habitation, were to encamp, westward.

24 Και ο άρχων του πατρικού οίκου των Γηρσωνιτών θέλει είσθαι Ελιασάφ ο υιός του Λαήλ.

And, the prince of the ancestral house of the Gershonites, was Eliasaph son of Lael.

25 Και η φυλακή των υιών Γηρσών εν τη σκηνή του μαρτυρίου θέλει είσθαι η σκηνή και η σκέπη το κάλυμμα αυτής και το καταπέτασμα της θύρας της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου,

And, the charge, of the sons of Gershon, was over the tent of meeting, the habitation, and the tent, —the covering thereof, and the screen for the entrance of the tent of meeting;

26 και τα παραπετάσματα της αυλής και το καταπέτασμα της θύρας της αυλής, τα οποία είναι διά την σκηνήν και διά το θυσιαστήριον κύκλω, και τα σχοινία αυτής διά πάσας τας υπηρεσίας αυτών.

and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the entrance of the court which was near the habitation and near the altar, round about, —and the cords thereof, as to all the laborious work thereof.

27 Και εκ του Καάθ ήτο η συγγένεια των Αμραμιτών και η συγγένεια των Ισααριτών και η συγγένεια των Χεβρωνιτών και η συγγένεια των Οζιηλιτών· αύται είναι αι συγγένειαι των Κααθιτών.

And to Kohath, belonged the family of the Amramites and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites, —these, are they—the families of the Kohathites.

28 Πάντα τα αρσενικά, από ενός μηνός και επάνω ήσαν κατά τον αριθμόν οκτώ χιλιάδες και εξακόσιοι, οίτινες εφύλαττον τας φυλακάς του αγιαστηρίου.

In, the counting of every male, from one month old and upwards, there were eight thousand and six hundred, to keep the charge of the sanctuary.

29 Αι συγγένειαι των υιών Καάθ θέλουσι στρατοπεδεύει εις τα πλάγια της σκηνής προς μεσημβρίαν.

The, families of the sons of Kohath, were to encamp, —on the side of the habitation, south-ward.

30 Και ο άρχων του πατρικού οίκου των συγγενειών των Κααθιτών θέλει είσθαι Ελισαφάν ο υιός του Οζιήλ.

And the prince of the ancestral house of the families of the Kohathites, was Elizaphan, son of Uzziel.

31 Και η φυλακή αυτών θέλει είσθαι η κιβωτός, και η τράπεζα, και η λυχνία, και τα θυσιαστήρια, και τα σκεύη του αγιαστηρίου διά των οποίων λειτουργούσι, και το καταπέτασμα και πάντα τα προς υπηρεσίαν αυτών.

And their charge, was—the ark and the table and the lampstand and the altars, and the utensils of the sanctuary wherewith they were to minister, —and the screen, as to all the laborious work thereof.

32 Και Ελεάζαρ ο υιός Ααρών του ιερέως θέλει είσθαι αρχηγός επί των αρχηγών των Λευϊτών, έχων την επιστασίαν των φυλαττόντων τας φυλακάς του αγιαστηρίου.

And the prince of the princes of the Levites, was Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, —to have the oversight of them that were to keep the charge of the sanctuary.

33 Εκ του Μεραρί ήτο η συγγένεια των Μααλιτών και η συγγένεια των Μουσιτών· αύται είναι αι συγγένειαι του Μεραρί.

To Merari, belonged the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites, —these, are they—the families of Merari.

34 Και οι απαριθμηθέντες αυτών κατά τον αριθμόν πάντων των αρσενικών από ενός μηνός και επάνω ήσαν εξ χιλιάδες και διακόσιοι.

And they who were numbered of them in the counting of every male, from one month old and upwards, were six thousand, and two hundred.

35 Και ο άρχων του πατρικού οίκου των συγγενειών του Μεραρί ήτο Σουρήλ ο υιός του Αβιχαίλ· ούτοι θέλουσι στρατοπεδεύει εις τα πλάγια της σκηνής προς βορράν.

And the prince of the ancestral house of the families of Merari, was Zuriel son of Abihail, —on the side of the habitation, were they to encamp northward.

36 Και υπό την επιστασίαν της φυλακής των υιών Μεραρί θέλουσιν είσθαι αι σανίδες της σκηνής και οι μοχλοί αυτής και οι στύλοι αυτής και τα υποβάσια αυτής, και πάντα τα σκεύη αυτής, και πάντα τα προς υπηρεσίαν αυτής·

And the oversight of the charge of the sons of Merari, was—the boards of the habitation, and the bars thereof and the pillars thereof and the sockets thereof, —and all the furniture thereof, as to all the laborious work thereof;

37 και οι στύλοι της αυλής κύκλω και τα υποβάσια αυτών και οι πάσσαλοι αυτών, και τα σχοινία αυτών.

also the pillars of the court round about and their sockets, —and their pins and their cords.

38 Οι δε στρατοπεδεύοντες κατά πρόσωπον της σκηνής προς ανατολάς, κατέναντι της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου κατά ανατολάς, θέλουσιν είσθαι Μωϋσής και Ααρών και οι υιοί αυτού, φυλάττοντες τας φυλακάς του αγιαστηρίου αντί των φυλακών των υιών Ισραήλ· και όστις ξένος πλησιάση θέλει θανατόνεσθαι.

But, they who were to encamp before the habitation eastwards before the tent of meeting, towards sunrise, were Moses and Aaron and his sons. to keep the charge of the sanctuary, as the charge of the sons of Israel and, the stranger that came near, was to be put to death.

39 Πάντες οι απαριθμηθέντες των Λευϊτών, τους οποίους απηρίθμησεν ο Μωϋσής και ο Ααρών διά προσταγής του Κυρίου κατά τας συγγενείας αυτών, πάντα τα αρσενικά από ενός μηνός και επάνω, ήσαν είκοσι δύο χιλιάδες.

All they who were numbered of the Levites whom Moses [and Aaron] numbered at the bidding of Yahweh by their families, —every male, from one month old and upwards, were two-and-twenty thousand.

40 Και είπε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, Απαρίθμησον πάντα τα πρωτότοκα αρσενικά των υιών Ισραήλ, από ενός μηνός και επάνω, και λάβε τον αριθμόν των ονομάτων αυτών.

And Yahweh said unto Moses: Number thou every firstborn male belonging to the sons of Israel, from one month old and upwards, —and reckon up the number of their names;

41 Και θέλεις λάβει τους Λευΐτας διά εμέ, εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος αντί πάντων των πρωτοτόκων των υιών Ισραήλ· και τα κτήνη των Λευϊτών αντί πάντων των πρωτοτόκων των κτηνών των υιών Ισραήλ.

then shalt thou take the Levites for me, me Yahweh, instead of every firstborn among the sons of Israel, —also the cattle of the Levites, instead of every firstling among the cattle of the sons of Israel.

42 Και απηρίθμησεν ο Μωϋσής, καθώς προσέταξεν εις αυτόν ο Κύριος, πάντα τα πρωτότοκα των υιών Ισραήλ.

So then Moses numbered, as Yahweh commanded him, —every firstborn among the sons of Israel.

43 Και πάντα τα πρωτότοκα αρσενικά απαριθμηθέντα κατ' όνομα από ενός μηνός και επάνω, κατά την απαρίθμησιν αυτών ήσαν είκοσι δύο χιλιάδες διακόσια εβδομήκοντα τρία.

And it was so—that all the firstborn of the males in the counting of names from one month old and upwards of such as were numbered of them, —were two-and-twenty thousand, two hundred and seventy-three.

44 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, λέγων,

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying: —

45 Λάβε τους Λευΐτας αντί πάντων των πρωτοτόκων των υιών Ισραήλ και τα κτήνη των Λευϊτών αντί των κτηνών αυτών· και οι Λευΐται θέλουσιν είσθαι εμού. Εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

Take the Levites, instead of all the firstborn among the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites, instead of their cattle, —so shall the Levites belong unto me, me Yahweh;

46 Και διά εξαγοράν των διακοσίων εβδομήκοντα τριών εκ των πρωτοτόκων των υιών Ισραήλ, οίτινες υπερβαίνουσι τον αριθμόν των Λευϊτών,

and as the ransom of the two hundred and seventy-three, —who are more than the Levites, of the firstborn of the sons of Israel,

47 θέλεις λάβει ανά πέντε σίκλους κατά κεφαλήν, κατά τον σίκλον τον άγιον θέλεις λάβει αυτούς· ο σίκλος είναι είκοσι γερά·

thou shalt take five shekels apiece by the poll, —by the shekel of the sanctuary, shalt thou take it, twenty gerahs to the shekel;

48 και θέλεις δώσει το αργύριον της εξαγοράς του περισσεύοντος αριθμού αυτών εις τον Ααρών και εις τους υιούς αυτού.

and shalt give the silver to Aaron and to his sons, —as the ransom of them that are in excess over them.

49 Και έλαβεν ο Μωϋσής το αργύριον της εξαγοράς των υπερβαινόντων τον αριθμόν των εξαγορασθέντων εις ανταλλαγήν των Λευϊτών·

So Moses took the redemption silver from them who were in excess over them who were redeemed by the Levites:

50 παρά των πρωτοτόκων των υιών Ισραήλ έλαβε το αργύριον, χιλίους τριακοσίους εξήκοντα πέντε σίκλους, κατά τον σίκλον τον άγιον·

from the firstborn of the sons of Israel, took he the silver, —a thousand three hundred and sixty-five shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary,

51 και έδωκεν ο Μωϋσής το αργύριον της εξαγοράς των υπερβαινόντων εις τον Ααρών και εις τους υιούς αυτού, κατά τον λόγον του Κυρίου, καθώς προσέταξε Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν.

And Moses gave the redemption silver to Aaron and to his sons at the bidding of Yahweh, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.
