Κατα Μαρκον 13
1 Και ενώ εξήρχετο εκ του ιερού, λέγει προς αυτόν εις των μαθητών αυτού· Διδάσκαλε, ίδε οποίοι λίθοι και οποίαι οικοδομαί.
As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings."
2 Και ο Ιησούς αποκριθείς είπε προς αυτόν· Βλέπεις ταύτας τας μεγάλας οικοδομάς; δεν θέλει αφεθή λίθος επί λίθον, όστις να μη κατακρημνισθή.
And Yeshua said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down."
3 Και ενώ εκάθητο εις το όρος των Ελαιών κατέναντι του ιερού, ηρώτων αυτόν κατ' ιδίαν ο Πέτρος και Ιάκωβος και Ιωάννης και Ανδρέας.
As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Kipha, Yaquv, Yukhanan, and Andreus asked him privately,
4 Ειπέ προς ημάς πότε θέλουσι γείνει ταύτα, και τι το σημείον όταν ταύτα πάντα μέλλωσι να συντελεσθώσιν;
"Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?"
5 Ο δε Ιησούς αποκριθείς προς αυτούς, ήρχισε να λέγη· Βλέπετε μη σας πλανήση τις.
And Yeshua began to say to them, "Be careful that no one leads you astray.
6 Διότι πολλοί θέλουσιν ελθεί εν τω ονόματί μου, λέγοντες ότι εγώ είμαι, και πολλούς θέλουσι πλανήσει.
Many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he.' and will lead many astray.
7 Όταν δε ακούσητε πολέμους και φήμας πολέμων, μη ταράττεσθε· διότι πρέπει να γείνωσι ταύτα, αλλά δεν είναι έτι το τέλος.
"When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled. Such things must happen, but the end is not yet.
8 Διότι θέλει εγερθή έθνος επί έθνος και βασιλεία επί βασιλείαν, και θέλουσι γείνει σεισμοί κατά τόπους και θέλουσι γείνει πείναι και ταραχαί. Ταύτα είναι αρχαί ωδίνων.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines. These things are the beginning of birth pains.
9 Σεις δε προσέχετε εις εαυτούς. Διότι θέλουσι σας παραδώσει εις συνέδρια, και εις συναγωγάς θέλετε δαρθή, και ενώπιον ηγεμόνων και βασιλέων θέλετε σταθή ένεκεν εμού προς μαρτυρίαν εις αυτούς·
But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them.
10 και πρέπει πρώτον να κηρυχθή το ευαγγέλιον εις πάντα τα έθνη.
The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.
11 Όταν δε σας φέρωσι διά να σας παραδώσωσι, μη προμεριμνάτε τι θέλετε λαλήσει, μηδέ μελετάτε, αλλ' ό, τι δοθή εις εσάς εν εκείνη τη ώρα, τούτο λαλείτε· διότι δεν είσθε σεις οι λαλούντες, αλλά το Πνεύμα το Άγιον.
When they lead you away and deliver you up, do not be anxious beforehand, or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Rukha d'Qudsha.
12 Θέλει δε παραδώσει αδελφός αδελφόν εις θάνατον και πατήρ τέκνον, και θέλουσιν επαναστή τέκνα επί γονείς και θέλουσι θανατώσει αυτούς.
"Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
13 Και θέλετε είσθαι μισούμενοι υπό πάντων διά το όνομά μου· ο δε υπομείνας έως τέλους, ούτος θέλει σωθή.
And you will be hated by everyone because of my name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
14 Όταν δε ίδητε το βδέλυγμα της ερημώσεως, το λαληθέν υπό Δανιήλ του προφήτου, ιστάμενον όπου δεν πρέπει -ο αναγινώσκων ας εννοή- τότε οι εν τη Ιουδαία ας φεύγωσιν εις τα όρη·
But when you see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Yehuda flee to the mountains,
15 και ο επί του δώματος ας μη καταβή εις την οικίαν, μηδ' ας εισέλθη διά να λάβη τι εκ της οικίας αυτού,
and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.
16 και όστις είναι εις τον αγρόν, ας μη επιστρέψη εις τα οπίσω διά να λάβη το ιμάτιον αυτού.
Let him who is in the field not return back to take his coat.
17 Ουαί δε εις τας εγκυμονούσας και τας θηλαζούσας εν εκείναις ταις ημέραις.
But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days.
18 Προσεύχεσθε δε διά να μη γείνη η φυγή υμών εν χειμώνι.
And pray that it won't be in the winter.
19 Διότι αι ημέραι εκείναι θέλουσιν είσθαι θλίψις τοιαύτη, οποία δεν έγεινεν απ' αρχής της κτίσεως, την οποίαν έκτισεν ο Θεός έως του νυν, ουδέ θέλει γείνει.
For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.
20 Και εάν ο Κύριος δεν ήθελε συντέμει τας ημέρας εκείνας, δεν ήθελε σωθή ουδεμία σάρξ· αλλά διά τους εκλεκτούς, τους οποίους εξέλεξε, συνέτεμε τας ημέρας.
Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.
21 Και τότε εάν τις είπη προς υμάς, Ιδού, εδώ είναι ο Χριστός, ή, Ιδού, εκεί, μη πιστεύσητε.
Then if anyone tells you, 'Look, here is the Meshikha.' or, 'Look, there.' do not believe it.
22 Διότι θέλουσιν εγερθή ψευδόχριστοι και ψευδοπροφήται και θέλουσι δείξει σημεία και τέρατα, διά να αποπλανώσιν, ει δυνατόν, και τους εκλεκτούς.
For there will arise false meshikhas and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, the chosen ones.
23 Σεις όμως προσέχετε· ιδού, σας προείπον πάντα.
But you watch. "I have told you all things beforehand.
24 Αλλ' εν εκείναις ταις ημέραις, μετά την θλίψιν εκείνην, ο ήλιος θέλει σκοτισθή και η σελήνη δεν θέλει δώσει το φέγγος αυτής
But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,
25 και οι αστέρες του ουρανού θέλουσι πίπτει και αι δυνάμεις αι εν τοις ουρανοίς θέλουσι σαλευθή.
the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
26 Και τότε θέλουσιν ιδεί τον Υιόν του ανθρώπου ερχόμενον εν νεφέλαις μετά δυνάμεως πολλής και δόξης.
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
27 Και τότε θέλει αποστείλει τους αγγέλους αυτού και συνάξει τους εκλεκτούς αυτού εκ των τεσσάρων ανέμων, απ' άκρου της γης έως άκρου του ουρανού.
Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the farthest part of the earth to the farthest part of the sky.
28 Από δε της συκής μάθετε την παραβολήν. Όταν ο κλάδος αυτής γείνη ήδη απαλός και εκβλαστάνη τα φύλλα, εξεύρετε ότι πλησίον είναι το θέρος·
"Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near;
29 ούτω και σεις, όταν ίδητε ταύτα γινόμενα, εξεύρετε ότι πλησίον είναι επί τας θύρας.
even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.
30 Αληθώς σας λέγω ότι δεν θέλει παρέλθει η γενεά αύτη, εωσού γείνωσι πάντα ταύτα.
Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things happen.
31 Ο ουρανός και η γη θέλουσι παρέλθει, οι δε λόγοι μου δεν θέλουσι παρέλθει.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
32 Περί δε της ημέρας εκείνης και της ώρας ουδείς γινώσκει, ουδέ οι άγγελοι οι εν ουρανώ, ουδέ ο Υιός, ειμή ο Πατήρ.
But of that day or the hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
33 Προσέχετε, αγρυπνείτε και προσεύχεσθε· διότι δεν εξεύρετε πότε είναι ο καιρός.
Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you do not know when the time is.
34 Επειδή τούτο θέλει είσθαι ως άνθρωπος αποδημών, όστις αφήκε την οικίαν αυτού και έδωκεν εις τους δούλους αυτού την εξουσίαν και εις έκαστον το έργον αυτού και εις τον θυρωρόν προσέταξε να αγρυπνή.
"It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.
35 Αγρυπνείτε λοιπόν· διότι δεν εξεύρετε πότε έρχεται ο κύριος της οικίας, την εσπέραν ή το μεσονύκτιον ή όταν φωνάζη ο αλέκτωρ ή το πρωΐ·
Watch therefore, for you do not know when the lord of the house is coming—at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;
36 μήποτε ελθών εξαίφνης, σας εύρη κοιμωμένους.
lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping.
37 Και όσα λέγω προς εσάς προς πάντας λέγω· Αγρυπνείτε.
What I tell you, I tell all: Watch."
