Κατα Μαρκον 12
1 Και ήρχισε να λέγη προς αυτούς διά παραβολών· Άνθρωπος τις εφύτευσεν αμπελώνα και περιέβαλεν εις αυτόν φραγμόν και έσκαψεν υπολήνιον και ωκοδόμησε πύργον, και εμίσθωσεν αυτόν εις γεωργούς και απεδήμησε.
And He began to speak unto them in parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and made a fence about it, and digged a place for the wine-fat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and travelled abroad.
2 Και εν τω καιρώ των καρπών απέστειλε προς τους γεωργούς δούλον, διά να λάβη παρά των γεωργών από του καρπού του αμπελώνος.
And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that he might receive from them of the fruit of the vineyard:
3 Εκείνοι δε πιάσαντες αυτόν έδειραν και απέπεμψαν κενόν.
and they took him and beat him, and sent him away empty.
4 Και πάλιν απέστειλε προς αυτούς άλλον δούλον· και εκείνον λιθοβολήσαντες, επλήγωσαν την κεφαλήν αυτού και απέπεμψαν ητιμωμένον.
And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they threw stones, and wounded him on the head, and sent him away shamefully used.
5 Και πάλιν απέστειλεν άλλον· και εκείνον εφόνευσαν, και πολλούς άλλους, τους μεν έδειραν, τους δε εφόνευσαν.
And again, he sent another; and him they killed: and many others, beating some, and killing others.
6 Έτι λοιπόν έχων ένα υιόν, αγαπητόν αυτού, απέστειλε και αυτόν προς αυτούς έσχατον, λέγων ότι θέλουσιν εντραπή τον υιόν μου.
Having yet therefore one Son, his beloved, he sent him also at last unto them, saying, they will reverence my Son.
7 Εκείνοι δε οι γεωργοί είπον προς αλλήλους ότι ούτος είναι ο κληρονόμος· έλθετε, ας φονεύσωμεν αυτόν, και θέλει είσθαι ημών η κληρονομία.
But the husbandmen said to one another, this is the heir, Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
8 Και πιάσαντες αυτόν εφόνευσαν και έρριψαν έξω του αμπελώνος.
And they took him, and killed Him too, casting him out of the vineyard.
9 Τι λοιπόν θέλει κάμει ο κύριος του αμπελώνος; Θέλει ελθεί και απολέσει τους γεωργούς και θέλει δώσει τον αμπελώνα εις άλλους.
What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy those husbandmen, and will let the vineyard to others.
10 Ουδέ την γραφήν ταύτην δεν ανεγνώσατε, Ο λίθος, τον οποίον απεδοκίμασαν οι οικοδομούντες, ούτος έγεινε κεφαλή γωνίας·
And have ye not read this scripture, "The stone, which the builders refused, is become the head of the corner:
11 παρά Κυρίου έγεινεν αύτη και είναι θαυμαστή εν οφθαλμοίς ημών.
this was from the Lord, and it is marvellous in our eyes."
12 Και εζήτουν να πιάσωσιν αυτόν και εφοβήθησαν τον όχλον· επειδή ενόησαν ότι προς αυτούς είπε την παραβολήν· και αφήσαντες αυτόν ανεχώρησαν.
And they sought to lay hands on Him, but they were afraid of the people; (for they knew that He spake the parable against them) and they left Him, and went away.
13 Και αποστέλλουσι προς αυτόν τινάς των Φαρισαίων και των Ηρωδιανών, διά να παγιδεύσωσιν αυτόν εις λόγον.
And they send to Him some of the pharisees, and of the Herodians to insnare Him in his discourse:
14 Και εκείνοι ελθόντες, λέγουσι προς αυτόν· Διδάσκαλε, εξεύρομεν ότι είσαι αληθής και δεν σε μέλει περί ουδενός· διότι δεν βλέπεις εις πρόσωπον ανθρώπων, αλλ' επ' αληθείας την οδόν του Θεού διδάσκεις. Είναι συγκεχωρημένον να δώσωμεν δασμόν εις τον Καίσαρα, ή ουχί; να δώσωμεν ή να μη δώσωμεν;
and these, when they came, said to Him, Master, we know that thou art a man of truth, and carest for no man; for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to pay tribute to Cesar, or not? should we give, or should we not give?
15 Ο δε γνωρίσας την υπόκρισιν αυτών, είπε προς αυτούς· τι με πειράζετε; φέρετέ μοι δηνάριον διά να ίδω.
But He knew their hypocrisy, and said to them, Why do ye tempt me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16 Και εκείνοι έφεραν. Και λέγει προς αυτούς· Τίνος είναι η εικών αύτη και η επιγραφή; οι δε είπον προς αυτόν· Του Καίσαρος.
So they brought one: and He saith to them, Whose is this image and inscription? And they said Cesar's.
17 Και αποκριθείς ο Ιησούς είπε προς αυτούς· Απόδοτε τα του Καίσαρος εις τον Καίσαρα και τα του Θεού εις τον Θεόν. Και εθαύμασαν δι' αυτόν.
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Render then unto Cesar the things that are Cesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at Him.
18 Και έρχονται προς αυτόν Σαδδουκαίοι, οίτινες λέγουσιν ότι δεν είναι ανάστασις, και ηρώτησαν αυτόν, λέγοντες·
Then come the sadducees to Him, who say there is no resurrection;
19 Διδάσκαλε, ο Μωϋσής μας έγραψεν ότι εάν αποθάνη τινός ο αδελφός και αφήση γυναίκα και τέκνα δεν αφήση, να λάβη ο αδελφός αυτού την γυναίκα αυτού και να εξαναστήση σπέρμα εις τον αδελφόν αυτού.
and they asked Him, saying, Master, Moses, in his writings tells us, if any one's brother die, and leave a wife, and leave no children, that his brother shall take his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.
20 Ήσαν λοιπόν επτά αδελφοί. Και ο πρώτος έλαβε γυναίκα, και αποθνήσκων δεν αφήκε σπέρμα·
Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife and died and left no seed;
21 και έλαβεν αυτήν ο δεύτερος και απέθανε, και ουδέ αυτός αφήκε σπέρμα· και ο τρίτος ωσαύτως.
and the second took her, and died, and he left no seed neither; and the third likewise.
22 Και έλαβον αυτήν οι επτά, και δεν αφήκαν σπέρμα. Τελευταία πάντων απέθανε και η γυνή.
And all the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all died the woman also.
23 Εν τη αναστάσει λοιπόν, όταν αναστηθώσι, τίνος αυτών θέλει είσθαι γυνή; διότι και οι επτά έλαβον αυτήν γυναίκα.
In the resurrection therefore, when they rise again, whose wife shall be of them; for all the seven had her to wife?
24 Και αποκριθείς ο Ιησούς, είπε προς αυτούς· Δεν πλανάσθε διά τούτο, μη γνωρίζοντες τας γραφάς μηδέ την δύναμιν του Θεού;
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, nor the power of God?
25 Διότι όταν αναστηθώσιν εκ νεκρών ούτε νυμφεύουσιν ούτε νυμφεύονται, αλλ' είναι ως άγγελοι οι εν τοις ουρανοίς.
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels in heaven.
26 Περί δε των νεκρών ότι ανίστανται, δεν ανεγνώσατε εν τη βίβλω του Μωϋσέως, πως είπε προς αυτόν ο Θεός επί της βάτου, λέγων, Εγώ είμαι ο Θεός του Αβραάμ και ο Θεός του Ισαάκ και ο Θεός του Ιακώβ;
But as to the dead, that they are raised, have ye not read in the book of Moses, how God spake to him in the bush, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 Δεν είναι ο Θεός νεκρών, αλλά Θεός ζώντων· σεις λοιπόν πλανάσθε πολύ.
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living: therefore ye do greatly mistake.
28 Και προσελθών εις των γραμματέων, όστις ήκουσεν αυτούς συζητούντας, γνωρίζων ότι καλώς απεκρίθη προς αυτούς, ηρώτησεν αυτόν· Ποία εντολή είναι πρώτη πασών;
And one of the scribes, who heard them disputing, seeing that He answered them well, came to Him and asked Him, Which is the chief commandment of all?
29 Ο δε Ιησούς απεκρίθη προς αυτόν ότι πρώτη πασών των εντολών είναι· Άκουε Ισραήλ, Κύριος ο Θεός ημών είναι εις Κύριος·
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is the one Lord,
30 και θέλεις αγαπά Κύριον τον Θεόν σου εξ όλης της καρδίας σου, και εξ όλης της ψυχής σου, και εξ όλης της διανοίας σου, και εξ όλης της δυνάμεώς σου· αύτη είναι η πρώτη εντολή.
and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:" this is the first or chief commandment,
31 Και δευτέρα ομοία, αύτη· Θέλεις αγαπά τον πλησίον σου ως σεαυτόν. Μεγαλητέρα τούτων άλλη εντολή δεν είναι.
and the second is like it, even this, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself:" there is no other commandment greater than these.
32 Και είπε προς αυτόν ο γραμματεύς· Καλώς, Διδάσκαλε, αληθώς είπας ότι είναι εις Θεός, και δεν είναι άλλος εκτός αυτού·
And the scribe said unto Him, Truly, Master, thou hast spoke exceeding well; for there is one God, and there is no other beside Him.
33 και το να αγαπά τις αυτόν εξ όλης της καρδίας και εξ όλης της συνέσεως και εξ όλης της ψυχής και εξ όλης της δυνάμεως, και το να αγαπά τον πλησίον ως εαυτόν, είναι πλειότερον πάντων των ολοκαυτωμάτων και των θυσιών.
And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole-burnt-offerings and sacrifices.
34 Και ο Ιησούς, ιδών αυτόν ότι φρονίμως απεκρίθη, είπε προς αυτόν· Δεν είσαι μακράν από της βασιλείας του Θεού. Και ουδείς πλέον ετόλμα να ερωτήση αυτόν.
And Jesus seeing that he answered discreetly, said to him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no one dared any more to put questions to Him.
35 Και αποκριθείς ο Ιησούς, έλεγε διδάσκων εν τω ιερώ· Πως λέγουσιν οι γραμματείς ότι ο Χριστός είναι υιός του Δαβίδ;
And Jesus spake and said, as He was teaching in the temple, How do the scribes say, that the Christ is the son of David?
36 Διότι αυτός ο Δαβίδ είπε διά του Πνεύματος του Αγίου· Είπεν ο Κύριος προς τον Κύριόν μου, Κάθου εκ δεξιών μου, εωσού θέσω τους εχθρούς σου υποπόδιον των ποδών σου.
for David himself said by the holy Spirit, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
37 Αυτός λοιπόν ο Δαβίδ λέγει αυτόν Κύριον· και πόθεν είναι υιός αυτού; Και ο πολύς όχλος ήκουεν αυτόν ευχαρίστως.
So that David himself calleth Him Lord: how then is He his son? And many of the people heard Him with pleasure.
38 Και έλεγε προς αυτούς εν τη διδαχή αυτού· Προσέχετε από των γραμματέων, οίτινες θέλουσι να περιπατώσιν εστολισμένοι και αγαπώσι τους ασπασμούς εν ταις αγοραίς
And He said unto them as He was teaching them, Beware of the scribes, who love to walk in long robes, and salutations in public-places,
39 και πρωτοκαθεδρίας εν ταις συναγωγαίς και τους πρώτους τόπους εν τοις δείπνοις.
and the chief seats in the synagogues, and uppermost places at feasts;
40 Οίτινες κατατρώγουσι τας οικίας των χηρών, και τούτο επί προφάσει ότι κάμνουσι μακράς προσευχάς· ούτοι θέλουσι λάβει μεγαλητέραν καταδίκην.
who devour widows houses, and for a shew of religion make long prayers: these shall receive the heavier judgement.
41 Και καθήσας ο Ιησούς απέναντι του γαζοφυλακίου, εθεώρει πως ο όχλος έβαλλε χαλκόν εις το γαζοφυλάκιον. Και πολλοί πλούσιοι έβαλλον πολλά·
And as Jesus was sitting over against the treasury, He saw how the people threw money into the treasury, and many of the rich put in much;
42 και ελθούσα μία χήρα πτωχή έβαλε δύο λεπτά, τουτέστιν, ένα κοδράντην.
and there came a poor widow and put in two mites, that is, a farthing.
43 Και προσκαλέσας τους μαθητάς αυτού, λέγει προς αυτούς· Αληθώς σας λέγω ότι η χήρα αύτη η πτωχή έβαλε περισσότερον πάντων, όσοι έβαλον εις το γαζοφυλάκιον·
And He called his disciples to Him, and saith unto them, Verily I tell you, that this poor widow has given more than all those who have cast into the treasury.
44 διότι πάντες εκ του περισσεύοντος εις αυτούς έβαλον· αύτη όμως εκ του υστερήματος αυτής έβαλε πάντα όσα είχεν, όλην την περιουσίαν αυτής.
For they all have contributed out of their abundance: but she out of her penury hath given all that she had, even her whole living.
