Κατα Μαρκον 10
1 Και σηκωθείς εκείθεν έρχεται εις τα όρια της Ιουδαίας διά του πέραν του Ιορδάνου, και συνέρχονται πάλιν όχλοι προς αυτόν, και ως εσυνείθιζε, πάλιν εδίδασκεν αυτούς.
AND arising, he went from thence into the coasts of Judea, through the country on the other side of the Jordan; and again the multitudes came together unto him; and as his custom was, he again taught them.
2 Και προσελθόντες οι Φαρισαίοι, ηρώτησαν αυτόν αν συγχωρήται εις άνδρα να χωρισθή την γυναίκα αυτού, πειράζοντες αυτόν.
And the Pharisees coming to him, put a question to him, Is it lawful for a husband to put away his wife? tempting him.
3 Ο δε αποκριθείς είπε προς αυτούς· τι προσέταξεν εις εσάς ο Μωϋσής;
He answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
4 Οι δε είπον· Ο Μωϋσής συνεχώρησε να γράψη έγγραφον διαζυγίου και να χωρισθή αυτήν.
They said, Moses permitted to write a bill of divorce, and to put her away.
5 Και αποκριθείς ο Ιησούς είπε προς αυτούς· Διά την σκληροκαρδίαν σας έγραψεν εις εσάς την εντολήν ταύτην·
Then Jesus answering said unto them, For the hardness of your hearts he wrote you that ordinance.
6 απ' αρχής όμως της κτίσεως άρσεν και θήλυ εποίησεν αυτούς ο Θεός·
But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female;
7 ένεκεν τούτου θέλει αφήσει άνθρωπος τον πατέρα αυτού και την μητέρα, και θέλει προσκολληθή εις την γυναίκα αυτού,
and said, For this cause shall a man forsake father and mother, and shall adhere to his wife;
8 και θέλουσιν είσθαι οι δύο εις σάρκα μίαν. Ώστε δεν είναι πλέον δύο, αλλά μία σάρξ·
and they two shall be one flesh: so that they are no more two, but one flesh.
9 εκείνο λοιπόν, το οποίον ο Θεός συνέζευξεν, άνθρωπος ας μη χωρίζη.
What therefore God hath yoked together, let no man separate.
10 Και εν τη οικία πάλιν οι μαθηταί αυτού ηρώτησαν αυτόν περί του αυτού,
And in the house the disciples again asked him of this matter.
11 και λέγει προς αυτούς· Όστις χωρισθή την γυναίκα αυτού και νυμφευθή άλλην, πράττει μοιχείαν εις αυτήν·
And he said unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her:
12 και εάν γυνή χωρισθή τον άνδρα αυτής και συζευχθή με άλλον, μοιχεύεται.
and if a wife put away her husband, and marrieth another, she committeth adultery.
13 Και έφεραν προς αυτόν παιδία, διά να εγγίση αυτά· οι δε μαθηταί επέπληττον τους φέροντας.
And they brought unto him little children, that he should touch them: but his disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 Ιδών δε ο Ιησούς ηγανάκτησε και είπε προς αυτούς· Αφήσατε τα παιδία να έρχωνται προς εμέ, και μη εμποδίζετε αυτά· διότι των τοιούτων είναι η βασιλεία του Θεού.
But when Jesus saw it, he felt indignation, and said to them, Permit little children to come to me, and hinder them not; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 Αληθώς σας λέγω, Όστις δεν δεχθή την βασιλείαν του Θεού ως παιδίον, δεν θέλει εισέλθει εις αυτήν.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in nowise enter into it.
16 Και εναγκαλισθείς αυτά, έθετε τας χείρας επ' αυτά και ηυλόγει αυτά.
And he took them in his arms, and laying his hand upon them, gave them his benediction.
17 Ενώ δε εξήρχετο εις την οδόν, έδραμέ τις και γονυπετήσας έμπροσθεν αυτού, ηρώτα αυτόν· Διδάσκαλε αγαθέ, τι να κάμω διά να κληρονομήσω ζωήν αιώνιον; (aiōnios g166)
And as he went out to the road, a person ran to him, and kneeling down, asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
18 Και ο Ιησούς είπε προς αυτόν· Τι με λέγεις αγαθόν; Ουδείς αγαθός ειμή εις, ο Θεός.
Then said Jesus unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, even God.
19 Τας εντολάς εξεύρεις· Μη μοιχεύσης, Μη φονεύσης, Μη κλέψης, Μη ψευδομαρτυρήσης, Μη αποστερήσης, Τίμα τον πατέρα σου και την μητέρα.
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery; Do not murder; Do not steal; Do not bear false witness; Honour thy father and mother.
20 Ο δε αποκριθείς είπε προς αυτόν· Διδάσκαλε, ταύτα πάντα εφύλαξα εκ νεότητός μου.
Then he replying, said, Master, all these things have I observed from my youth.
21 Και ο Ιησούς εμβλέψας εις αυτόν, ηγάπησεν αυτόν και είπε προς αυτόν· Εν σοι λείπει· ύπαγε, πώλησον όσα έχεις και δος εις τους πτωχούς, και θέλεις έχει θησαυρόν εν ουρανώ, και ελθέ, ακολούθει μοι, σηκώσας τον σταυρόν.
Then Jesus looking upon him, loved him, and said to him, In one thing thou art defective: go, sell all that thou hast, and give to the poor; and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up thy cross, and follow me.
22 Εκείνος όμως σκυθρωπάσας διά τον λόγον, ανεχώρησε λυπούμενος· διότι είχε κτήματα πολλά.
And groaning over this speech, he went away sorrowful: for he had many estates.
23 Και περιβλέψας ο Ιησούς, λέγει προς τους μαθητάς αυτού· Πόσον δυσκόλως θέλουσιν εισέλθει εις την βασιλείαν του Θεού οι έχοντες τα χρήματα.
And Jesus looking round, said to his disciples, How difficultly shall they who have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24 Οι δε μαθηταί εξεπλήττοντο διά τους λόγους αυτού. Και ο Ιησούς πάλιν αποκριθείς λέγει προς αυτούς· Τέκνα, πόσον δύσκολον είναι να εισέλθωσιν εις την βασιλείαν του Θεού οι έχοντες το θάρρος αυτών εις τα χρήματα.
Then his disciples were astonished at these words. But Jesus again addressing them, said unto them, Children, how difficult is it for those who trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 Ευκολώτερον είναι κάμηλος να περάση διά της τρύπης της βελόνης παρά πλούσιος να εισέλθη εις την βασιλείαν του Θεού.
It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 Εκείνοι δε σφόδρα εξεπλήττοντο, λέγοντες προς εαυτούς· Και τις δύναται να σωθή;
And they were exceedingly amazed, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27 Εμβλέψας δε εις αυτούς ο Ιησούς, λέγει· Παρά ανθρώποις είναι αδύνατον, αλλ' ουχί παρά τω Θεώ· διότι τα πάντα είναι δυνατά παρά τω Θεώ.
And Jesus looking upon them, said, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
28 Και ήρχισεν ο Πέτρος να λέγη προς αυτόν· Ιδού, ημείς αφήκαμεν πάντα και σε ηκολουθήσαμεν.
And Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 Αποκριθείς δε ο Ιησούς είπεν· Αληθώς σας λέγω, δεν είναι ουδείς όστις, αφήσας οικίαν ή αδελφούς ή αδελφάς ή πατέρα ή μητέρα ή γυναίκα ή τέκνα ή αγρούς ένεκεν εμού και του ευαγγελίου,
Then Jesus in reply said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man who hath left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake and the Gospel’s,
31 Πολλοί όμως πρώτοι θέλουσιν είσθαι έσχατοι και οι έσχατοι πρώτοι.
But many first, will be last; and the last, first.
32 Ήσαν δε εν τη οδώ αναβαίνοντες εις Ιεροσόλυμα· και ο Ιησούς προεπορεύετο αυτών, και εθαύμαζον και ακολουθούντες εφοβούντο. Και παραλαβών πάλιν τους δώδεκα, ήρχισε να λέγη προς αυτούς τα μέλλοντα να συμβώσιν εις αυτόν,
And they were on the road going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was advancing before them: and they were astonished; and followed him full of fear. And again taking the twelve aside, he began to tell them what things were about to befall him:
33 ότι ιδού, αναβαίνομεν εις Ιεροσόλυμα και ο Υιός του ανθρώπου θέλει παραδοθή εις τους αρχιερείς και εις τους γραμματείς, και θέλουσι καταδικάσει αυτόν εις θάνατον και θέλουσι παραδώσει αυτόν εις τα έθνη,
For, lo! said he, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests, and to the scribes; and they will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles:
34 και θέλουσιν εμπαίξει αυτόν και μαστιγώσει αυτόν και θέλουσιν εμπτύσει εις αυτόν και θανατώσει αυτόν, και την τρίτην ημέραν θέλει αναστηθή.
and they will insult him, and scourge him, and spit upon him, and kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
35 Τότε έρχονται προς αυτόν ο Ιάκωβος και Ιωάννης, οι υιοί του Ζεβεδαίου, λέγοντες· Διδάσκαλε, θέλομεν να κάμης εις ημάς ό, τι ζητήσωμεν.
And James and John the sons of Zebedee came to him, saying, Master, we desire that thou shouldst do for us whatsoever we request.
36 Ο δε είπε προς αυτούς· Τι θέλετε να κάμω εις εσάς;
He said unto them, What will ye that I should do for you?
37 Οι δε είπον προς αυτόν· Δος εις ημάς να καθήσωμεν εις εκ δεξιών σου και εις εξ αριστερών σου εν τη δόξη σου.
They say unto him, Grant us to sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left, in thy glory.
38 Ο δε Ιησούς είπε προς αυτούς· Δεν εξεύρετε τι ζητείτε. Δύνασθε να πίητε το ποτήριον, το οποίον εγώ πίνω, και να βαπτισθήτε το βάπτισμα, το οποίον εγώ βαπτίζομαι;
Then Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup which I drink? and be baptised with the baptism with which I am baptised?
39 Οι δε είπον προς αυτόν· Δυνάμεθα. Ο δε Ιησούς είπε προς αυτούς· το μεν ποτήριον, το οποίον εγώ πίνω, θέλετε πίει, και το βάπτισμα το οποίον εγώ βαπτίζομαι, θέλετε βαπτισθή·
And they said unto him, We are able. Then said Jesus unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup of which I drink; and be baptised with the baptism with which I am baptised:
40 το να καθήσητε όμως εκ δεξιών μου και εξ αριστερών μου δεν είναι εμού να δώσω, αλλ' εις όσους είναι ητοιμασμένον.
but to sit on my right-hand, and on my left, is not mine to give; but to those for whom it is prepared.
41 Και ακούσαντες οι δέκα ήρχισαν να αγανακτώσι περί Ιακώβου και Ιωάννου.
And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant against James and John.
42 Ο δε Ιησούς προσκαλέσας αυτούς, λέγει προς αυτούς· Εξεύρετε ότι οι νομιζόμενοι άρχοντες των εθνών κατακυριεύουσιν αυτά και οι μεγάλοι αυτών κατεξουσιάζουσιν αυτά·
But Jesus called them, and said to them, Ye know that they who appear to rule over the Gentiles, lord it over them; and their great men exercise dominion over them.
43 ούτως όμως δεν θέλει είσθαι εν υμίν, αλλ' όστις θέλει να γείνη μέγας εν υμίν, θέλει είσθαι υπηρέτης υμών,
But it shall not be so with you: but whosoever will be great among you let him be your servant:
44 και όστις εξ υμών θέλει να γείνη πρώτος, θέλει είσθαι δούλος πάντων·
and whosoever will be first, let him be the servant of all.
45 διότι ο Υιός του ανθρώπου δεν ήλθε διά να υπηρετηθή, αλλά διά να υπηρετήση και να δώση την ζωήν αυτού λύτρον αντί πολλών.
For the Son of man came not to be waited upon, but to be a servant, and to give his life a ransom for many.
46 Και έρχονται εις Ιεριχώ. Και ενώ εξήρχετο από της Ιεριχώ αυτός και οι μαθηταί αυτού και όχλος ικανός, ο υιός του Τιμαίου Βαρτίμαιος ο τυφλός εκάθητο παρά την οδόν ζητών.
And they came to Jericho. And as he was going out of Jericho with his disciples, and a great multitude, Bartimeus, the blind, the son of Timeus, sat by the road-side begging:
47 Και ακούσας ότι είναι Ιησούς ο Ναζωραίος, ήρχισε να κράζη και να λέγη· Υιέ του Δαβίδ Ιησού, ελέησόν με.
and hearing that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by, he began to cry out, and say, O Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me!
48 Και επέπληττον αυτόν πολλοί διά να σιωπήση· αλλ' εκείνος πολλώ μάλλον έκραζεν· Υιέ του Δαβίδ, ελέησόν με.
And many chid him, that he should be silent: but he cried out so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me!
49 Και σταθείς ο Ιησούς, είπε να κραχθή· και κράζουσι τον τυφλόν, λέγοντες προς αυτόν· Θάρσει, σηκώθητι· σε κράζει.
And Jesus stood still, and ordered him to be called: and they call the blind man, saying to him, Cheer up, arise; he calleth thee.
50 Και εκείνος απορρίψας το ιμάτιον αυτού, εσηκώθη και ήλθε προς τον Ιησούν.
Then casting off his cloak, he arose, and came to Jesus.
51 Και αποκριθείς λέγει προς αυτόν ο Ιησούς· Τι θέλεις να σοι κάμω; Και ο τυφλός είπε προς αυτόν· Ραββουνί, να αναβλέψω.
And Jesus addressing him, said, What dost thou wish that I should do for thee? And the blind man said to him, Rabboni, that I may receive my sight!
52 Ο δε Ιησούς είπε προς αυτόν· Ύπαγε, η πίστις σου σε έσωσε. Και ευθύς ανέβλεψε και ηκολούθει τον Ιησούν εν τη οδώ.
Then said Jesus unto him, Go thy way: thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received sight, and followed Jesus in the road.
