Ἰησοῦς Nαυῆ 21
1 Και προσήλθον οι αρχηγοί των πατριών των Λευϊτών προς Ελεάζαρ τον ιερέα και προς Ιησούν τον υιόν του Ναυή και προς τους αρχηγούς των πατριών των φυλών των υιών Ισραήλ,
Then the tribal leaders of the Levites came to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua son of Nun, and to the leaders of the families of their ancestors within the people of Israel.
2 και είπον προς αυτούς εν Σηλώ εν τη γη Χαναάν λέγοντες, Ο Κύριος προσέταξε διά του Μωϋσέως να δοθώσιν εις ημάς πόλεις να κατοικώμεν, και τα περίχωρα αυτών διά τα κτήνη ημών.
They said to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, “Yahweh commanded you by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to live in, with the pasturelands for our livestock.”
3 Και έδωκαν οι υιοί Ισραήλ εις τους Λευΐτας εκ της κληρονομίας αυτών, κατά τον λόγον του Κυρίου, τας πόλεις ταύτας και τα περίχωρα αυτών.
So by the command of Yahweh, the people of Israel gave out of their inheritance the following cities, including their pasturelands, to the Levites.
4 Και εξήλθεν ο κλήρος εις τας συγγενείας των Κααθιτών· και οι υιοί Ααρών του ιερέως, οι εκ των Λευϊτών, έλαβον διά κλήρον εκ της φυλής Ιούδα και εκ της φυλής Συμεών, και εκ της φυλής Βενιαμίν δεκατρείς πόλεις.
The casting of lots for the clans of the Kohathites gave this result: The priests—the descendants of Aaron who were from the Levites—received thirteen cities given from the tribe of Judah, from the tribe of the Simeon, and from the tribe of Benjamin.
5 Οι δε υιοί Καάθ οι επίλοιποι έλαβον διά κλήρον εκ των συγγενειών της φυλής Εφραΐμ και εκ της φυλής Δαν και εκ του ημίσεως της φυλής Μανασσή, δέκα πόλεις.
The rest of the Kohathites were allotted ten cities from the clans of the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and from the half tribe of Manasseh.
6 Και οι υιοί Γηρσών έλαβον διά κλήρου εκ των συγγενειών της φυλής Ισσάχαρ και εκ της φυλής Ασήρ και εκ της φυλής Νεφθαλί και εκ του ημίσεως της φυλής Μανασσή εν Βασάν, δεκατρείς πόλεις.
Then the people descended from Gershon were given, by the casting of lots, thirteen cities from the clans of the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
7 Οι υιοί Μεραρί κατά τας συγγενείας αυτών έλαβον εκ της φυλής Ρουβήν και εκ της φυλής Γαδ και εκ της φυλής Ζαβουλών, δώδεκα πόλεις.
The people who were descendants of Merari, clan by clan, received twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
8 Και έδωκαν οι υιοί Ισραήλ διά κλήρου εις τους Λευΐτας τας πόλεις ταύτας και τα περίχωρα αυτών, καθώς ο Κύριος προσέταξε διά του Μωϋσέως.
So the people of Israel gave, by casting lots, these cities (including their pasturelands) to the Levites, just as Yahweh had commanded by the hand of Moses.
9 Και έδωκαν εκ της φυλής των υιών Ιούδα και εκ της φυλής των υιών Συμεών τας πόλεις ταύτας, αίτινες αναφέρονται ενταύθα κατ' όνομα·
From the tribes of Judah and Simeon, they assigned land to the following cities, here listed by name.
10 και έλαβον αυτάς οι υιοί του Ααρών, οι εκ των συγγενειών των Κααθιτών, οι εκ των υιών του Λευΐ· διότι τούτων ήτο ο πρώτος κλήρος.
These cities were given to the descendants of Aaron, who were among the clans of the Kohathites, who in turn were from the tribe of Levi. For the first casting of lots had fallen to them.
11 Και έδωκαν εις αυτούς την πόλιν του Αρβά πατρός του Ανάκ, ήτις είναι η Χεβρών, εν τη ορεινή του Ιούδα, και τα περίχωρα αυτής κύκλω.
The Israelites gave them Kiriath Arba (Arba had been the father of Anak), the same place as Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the pasturelands around it.
12 Τους δε αγρούς της πόλεως και τας κώμας αυτής έδωκαν εις Χάλεβ τον υιόν του Ιεφοννή, εις ιδιοκτησίαν αυτού.
But the fields of the city, including their villages, were already given to Caleb son of Jephunneh, as his possession.
13 Και έδωκαν εις τους υιούς Ααρών του ιερέως την πόλιν του καταφυγίου διά τον φονέα, την Χεβρών και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Λιβνά και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
To the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its pasturelands—which was a city of refuge for any who killed another unintentionally—and Libnah with its pasturelands,
14 και την Ιαθείρ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Εσθεμωά και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
Jattir with its pasturelands, and Eshtemoa with its pasturelands.
15 και την Ωλών και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Δεβείρ και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
They also gave Holon with its pasturelands, Debir with its pasturelands,
16 και την Αείν και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Ιουτά και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Βαιθ-σεμές και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις εννέα εκ των δύο τούτων φυλών·
Ain with its pasturelands, Juttah with its pasturelands, and Beth Shemesh with its pasturelands. There were nine cities that were given from these two tribes.
17 και εκ της φυλής Βενιαμίν, την Γαβαών και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Γαβαά και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
From the tribe of Benjamin were given Gibeon with its pasturelands, Geba with its pasturelands,
18 την Αναθώθ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Αλμών και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις τέσσαρας.
Anathoth with its pasturelands, and Almon with its suburbs—four cities.
19 Πάσαι αι πόλεις των υιών του Ααρών των ιερέων, πόλεις δεκατρείς και τα περίχωρα αυτών.
The cities given to the priests, the descendants of Aaron, were thirteen cities in all, including their pasturelands.
20 Και αι συγγένειαι των υιών του Καάθ των Λευϊτών, των επιλοίπων εκ των υιών Καάθ, έλαβον τας πόλεις του κλήρου αυτών εκ της φυλής του Εφραΐμ.
As for the rest of Kohathites who belong to the Kohathite clans of the Levites—they had cities given to them from the tribe of Ephraim by the casting of lots.
21 Και έδωκαν εις αυτούς την πόλιν του καταφυγίου διά τον φονέα, την Συχέμ και τα περίχωρα αυτής εν τω όρει Εφραΐμ, και την Γεζέρ και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
To them were given Shechem with its pasturelands in the hill country of Ephraim—a city of refuge for any who killed a person unintentionally—Gezer with its pasturelands,
22 και την Κιβσαείμ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Βαιθ-ωρών και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις τέσσαρας·
Kibzaim with its pasturelands, and Beth Horon with its pasturelands—four cities in all.
23 και εκ της φυλής Δαν, την Ελθεκώ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Γιββεθών και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
From the tribe of Dan, the clan of Kohath was given Eltekeh with its pasturelands, Gibbethon with its pasturelands,
24 την Αιαλών και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Γαθ-ριμμών και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις τέσσαρας·
Aijalon with its pasturelands, and Gath Rimmon with its pasturelands—four cities in all.
25 και εκ του ημίσεως της φυλής του Μανασσή, την Θαανάχ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Γαθ-ριμμών και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις δύο.
From the half tribe of Manasseh, the clan of Kohath was given Taanach with its pasturelands and Gath Rimmon with its pasturelands—two cities.
26 Πάσαι αι πόλεις ήσαν δέκα, και τα περίχωρα αυτών, διά τας συγγενείας των επιλοίπων υιών του Καάθ.
There were ten cities in all for the rest of the clans of the Kohathites, including their pasturelands.
27 Εις δε τους υιούς Γηρσών, εκ των συγγενειών των Λευϊτών, έδωκαν εκ του άλλου ημίσεως της φυλής Μανασσή, την πόλιν του καταφυγίου διά τον φονέα, την Γωλάν εν Βασάν και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Βεεσθερά και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις δύο·
From the half tribe of Manasseh, to clans of Gershon, these were other Levite clans, and they gave Golan in Bashan with its pasturelands—a city of refuge for anyone who killed another unintentionally, along with Be Eshterah with its pasturelands—two cities in all.
28 και εκ της φυλής Ισσάχαρ, την Κισιών και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Δαβράθ και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
To the clans of Gershon they also gave Kishion from the tribe of Issachar, along with its pasturelands, Daberath with its pasturelands,
29 την Ιαρμούθ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Εν-γαννίμ και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις τέσσαρας·
Jarmuth with its pasturelands, and En Gannim with its pasturelands—four cities.
30 και εκ της φυλής Ασήρ, την Μισαάλ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Αβδών και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
From the tribe of Asher, they gave Mishal with its pasturelands, Abdon with its pasturelands,
31 την Χελκάθ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Ρεώβ και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις τέσσαρας·
Helkath with its pasturelands, and Rehob with its pasturelands—four cities in all.
32 και εκ της φυλής Νεφθαλί, την πόλιν του καταφυγίου διά τον φονέα, την Κέδες εν τη Γαλιλαία και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Αμμώθ-δωρ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Καρθάν και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις τρεις.
From the tribe of Naphtali, they gave the clans of Gershon Kedesh in Galilee with its pasturelands—a city of refuge for anyone who killed another unintentionally; Hammoth Dor with its pasturelands, and Kartan with its pasturelands—three cities in all.
33 Πάσαι αι πόλεις των Γηρσωνιτών, κατά τας συγγενείας αυτών, ήσαν πόλεις δεκατρείς και τα περίχωρα αυτών.
There were thirteen cities in all, out of the clans of Gershon, including their pasturelands.
34 Εις δε τας συγγενείας των υιών Μεραρί, των επιλοίπων εκ των Λευϊτών, έδωκαν εκ της φυλής Ζαβουλών, την Ιοκνεάμ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Καρθά και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
To the rest of the Levites—the clans of Merari—were given out of the tribe of Zebulun: Jokneam with its pasturelands, Kartah with its pasturelands,
35 την Διμνά και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Νααλώλ και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις τέσσαρας·
Dimnah with its pasturelands, and Nahalal with its pasturelands—four cities in all.
36 και εκ της φυλής Ρουβήν έδωκαν την Βοσόρ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Ιααζά και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
To the clans of Merari were given from the tribe of Reuben: Bezer with its pasturelands, Jahaz with its pasturelands,
37 την Κεδημώθ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Μηφαάθ και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πόλεις τέσσαρας·
Kedemoth with its pasturelands, and Mephaath with its pasturelands—four cities.
38 και εκ της φυλής Γαδ έδωκαν την πόλιν του καταφυγίου διά τον φονέα, την Ραμώθ εν Γαλαάδ και τα περίχωρα αυτής, και την Μαχαναΐμ και τα περίχωρα αυτής,
Out of the tribe of Gad they were given Ramoth in Gilead with its pasturelands—a city of refuge for any who killed another unintentionally—and Mahanaim with its pasturelands.
39 την Εσεβών και τα περίχωρα αυτής, την Ιαζήρ και τα περίχωρα αυτής· πάσαι αι πόλεις τέσσαρες.
The clans of Merari were also given Heshbon with its pasturelands, and Jazer with its pasturelands. These were four cities in all.
40 πάσαι αι πόλεις αι δοθείσαι διά κλήρων εις τους υιούς Μεραρί, κατά τας συγγενείας αυτών, τους υπολοίπους εκ των συγγενειών των Λευϊτών, ήσαν πόλεις δώδεκα.
All these were the cities of the several clans of Merari, who were from the tribe of Levi—twelve cities in all were given to them by the casting of lots.
41 Πάσαι αι πόλεις των Λευϊτών, αι μεταξύ της ιδιοκτησίας των υιών Ισραήλ, ήσαν τεσσαράκοντα οκτώ πόλεις και τα περίχωρα αυτών.
The cities of the Levites taken from the middle of the land possessed by the people of Israel were forty-eight cities, including their pasturelands.
42 Αι πόλεις αύται ήσαν εκάστη μετά των περιχώρων αυτών κύκλω· ούτως ήσαν πάσαι αι πόλεις αύται.
These cities each had its surrounding pasturelands. It was this way with all these cities.
43 Και έδωκεν ο Κύριος εις τον Ισραήλ πάσαν την γην, την οποίαν ώμοσε να δώση προς τους πατέρας αυτών· και εκυρίευσαν αυτήν και κατώκησαν εν αυτή.
So Yahweh gave to Israel all the land that he swore to give to their ancestors. The Israelites took possession of it and settled there.
44 Και έδωκεν ο Κύριος εις αυτούς ανάπαυσιν πανταχόθεν, κατά πάντα όσα ώμοσε προς τους πατέρας αυτών· και ουδείς εκ πάντων των εχθρών αυτών ηδυνήθη να σταθή κατά πρόσωπον αυτών· πάντας τους εχθρούς αυτών παρέδωκεν ο Κύριος εις την χείρα αυτών.
Then Yahweh gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies could defeat them. Yahweh gave all their enemies into their hand.
45 Δεν διέπεσεν ουδέ εις εκ πάντων των αγαθών λόγων, τους οποίους ο Κύριος ελάλησε προς τον οίκον Ισραήλ· πάντες εξετελέσθησαν.
Not one thing among all the good promises that Yahweh had spoken to the house of Israel failed to come true. All of them came to be.
