Ἰώβ 25

1 Και απεκρίθη Βιλδάδ ο Σαυχίτης και είπεν·

Then Baldad the Suhite answered by saying:

2 Εξουσία και φόβος είναι μετ' αυτού· εκτελεί ειρήνην εις τα ύψη αυτού.

Power and terror are with him that makes a pact with those in high places.

3 Υπάρχει αριθμός των στρατευμάτων αυτού; και επί τίνα δεν ανατέλλει το φως αυτού;

Is there any limit to the number of his soldiers or to the number of those over whom his light rises?

4 Πως λοιπόν δύναται άνθρωπος να δικαιωθή ενώπιον του Θεού; ή πως δύναται να ήναι καθαρός ο γεγεννημένος εκ γυναικός;

Is it right for man to compare himself to God, or to appear pure though he is born of woman?

5 Ιδού, και αυτή η σελήνη δεν είναι λαμπρά, και οι αστέρες δεν είναι καθαροί ενώπιον αυτού.

Behold, even the moon is not radiant, and the stars are not pure, in his sight.

6 Πόσον ολιγώτερον ο άνθρωπος, σαπρία; και ο υιός του ανθρώπου, ο σκώληξ;

Is man much more than rottenness and the son of man much more than worms?
