Ἱερεμίας 7
1 Ο λόγος ο γενόμενος προς τον Ιερεμίαν παρά Κυρίου, λέγων,
The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye,
2 Στήθι εν τη πύλη του οίκου του Κυρίου και κήρυξον εκεί τον λόγον τούτον και ειπέ, Ακούσατε τον λόγον του Κυρίου, πάντες οι Ιούδα, οι διά των πυλών τούτων εισερχόμενοι διά να προσκυνήτε τον Κύριον.
and seide, Stonde thou in the yate of the hous of the Lord, and preche there this word, and seie, Al Juda, that entren bi these yatis for to worschipe the Lord, here ye the word of the Lord.
3 Ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ· Διορθώσατε τας οδούς σας και τας πράξεις σας, και θέλω σας στερεώσει εν τω τόπω τούτω.
The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Make ye good youre weies, and youre studies, and Y schal dwelle with you in this place.
4 Μη πεποίθατε εις λόγους ψευδείς, λέγοντες, Ο ναός του Κυρίου, ο ναός του Κυρίου, ο ναός του Κυρίου είναι ούτος.
Nyle ye triste in the wordis of leesyng, and seie, The temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord is.
5 Διότι εάν αληθώς διορθώσητε τας οδούς σας και τας πράξεις σας· εάν εντελώς εκτελέσητε κρίσιν αναμέσον ανθρώπου και του πλησίον αυτού·
For if ye blessen youre weies, and your studies; if ye doon doom bitwixe a man and his neiybore;
6 εάν δεν καταδυναστεύητε τον ξένον, τον ορφανόν και την χήραν, και δεν χύνητε αίμα αθώον εν τω τόπω τούτω μηδέ περιπατήτε οπίσω ξένων θεών εις φθοράν σας·
if ye maken not fals caleng to a comelyng, and to a fadirles child, and to a widewe; nether scheden out innocent blood in this place, and goen not after alien goddis, in to yuel to you silf,
7 τότε θέλω σας κάμει να κατοικήτε εν τω τόπω τούτω, εν τη γη την οποίαν έδωκα εις τους πατέρας σας εις αιώνα αιώνος.
Y schal dwelle with you in this place, in the lond which Y yaf to youre fadris, fro the world and til in to the world.
8 Ιδού, σεις πεποίθατε εις λόγους ψευδείς, εκ των οποίων δεν θέλετε ωφεληθή.
Lo! ye trusten to you in the wordis of leesyng, that shulen not profite to you;
9 Κλέπτετε, φονεύετε και μοιχεύετε και ομνύετε ψευδώς και θυμιάζετε εις τον Βάαλ και περιπατείτε οπίσω άλλων θεών, τους οποίους δεν γνωρίζετε·
to stele, to sle, to do auowtrie, to swere falsli, to make sacrifice to Baalym, and to go aftir alien goddys, whiche ye knowen not.
10 έπειτα έρχεσθε και ίστασθε ενώπιόν μου εν τω οίκω τούτω, εφ' ον εκλήθη το όνομά μου, και λέγετε, Ηλευθερώθημεν, διά να κάμνητε πάντα ταύτα τα βδελύγματα;
And ye camen, and stoden bifor me in this hous, in which my name is clepid to help; and ye seiden, We ben delyuered, for we han do alle these abhomynaciouns.
11 Σπήλαιον ληστών έγεινεν ενώπιόν σας ο οίκος ούτος, εφ' ον εκλήθη το όνομά μου; ιδού, αυτός εγώ είδον ταύτα, λέγει Κύριος.
Whether therfor this hous, wherynne my name is clepid to help bifore youre iyen, is maad a denne of theues? I, Y am, Y siy, seith the Lord.
12 Αλλ' υπάγετε τώρα εις τον τόπον μου τον εν Σηλώ, όπου έθεσα το όνομά μου κατ' αρχάς, και ιδέτε τι έκαμον εις αυτόν διά την κακίαν του λαού μου Ισραήλ.
Go ye to my place in Silo, where my name dwellide at the bigynnyng, and se ye what thingis Y dide to it, for the malice of my puple Israel.
13 Και τώρα, επειδή επράξατε πάντα ταύτα τα έργα, λέγει Κύριος, και ελάλησα προς εσάς, εγειρόμενος πρωΐ και λαλών, και δεν ηκούσατε· και σας έκραξα και δεν απεκρίθητε·
And now, for ye han do alle these werkis, seith the Lord, and Y spak to you, and roos eerli, and Y spak, and ye herden not, and Y clepide you, and ye answeriden not;
14 διά τούτο θέλω κάμει εις τον οίκον, εφ' ον εκλήθη το όνομά μου, εις τον οποίον σεις θαρρείτε, και εις τον τόπον τον οποίον έδωκα εις εσάς και εις τους πατέρας σας, καθώς έκαμα εις την Σηλώ·
Y schal do to this hous, wherynne my name is clepid to help, and in which hous ye han trist, and to the place which Y yaf to you and to youre fadris, as Y dide to Silo.
15 και θέλω σας απορρίψει από του προσώπου μου, καθώς απέρριψα πάντας τους αδελφούς σας, άπαν το σπέρμα του Εφραΐμ.
And Y schal caste you forth fro my face, as Y castide forth alle youre britheren, al the seed of Effraym.
16 Διά τούτο συ μη προσεύχου υπέρ του λαού τούτου και μη ύψονε φωνήν ή δέησιν υπέρ αυτών μηδέ μεσίτευε προς εμέ· διότι δεν θέλω σου εισακούσει.
Therfor nyl thou preie for this puple, nether take thou heriyng and preier for hem; and ayenstonde thou not me, for Y schal not here thee.
17 Δεν βλέπεις τι κάμνουσιν αυτοί εν ταις πόλεσι του Ιούδα και εν ταις οδοίς της Ιερουσαλήμ;
Whether thou seest not, what these men don in the citees of Juda, and in the stretis of Jerusalem?
18 Οι υιοί συλλέγουσι ξύλα και οι πατέρες ανάπτουσι το πυρ και αι γυναίκες ζυμόνουσι την ζύμην, διά να κάμωσι πέμματα εις την βασίλισσαν του ουρανού και να κάμωσι, σπονδάς εις άλλους θεούς, διά να με παροξύνωσι.
The sones gaderen stickis, and the fadris kyndlen a fier; and wymmen sprengen togidere ynnere fatnesse, to make kakis to the queen of heuene, to make sacrifice to alien goddis, and to terre me to wrathfulnesse.
19 Μήπως εμέ παροξύνουσι; λέγει Κύριος· ουχί εαυτους προς καταισχύνην των προσώπων αυτών;
Whether thei stiren me to wrathfulnesse? seith the Lord; whether thei stiren not hem silf in to schenschip of her cheer?
20 Διά τούτο ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, η οργή μου και ο θυμός μου εκχέονται επί τον τόπον τούτον, επί άνθρωπον και επί κτήνος και επί τα δένδρα του αγρού και επί τον καρπόν της γής· και θέλει εξαφθή και δεν θέλει σβεσθή.
Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! my strong veniaunce and myn indignacioun is wellid togidere on this place, on men, and on beestis, and on the tree of the cuntrei, and on the fruitis of erthe; and it schal be kyndlid, and it schal not be quenchid.
21 Ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ· προσθέσατε τα ολοκαυτώματά σας εις τας θυσίας σας και φάγετε κρέας.
The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Heepe ye youre brent sacrifices to youre slayn sacrifices, and ete ye fleischis.
22 Διότι δεν ελάλησα προς τους πατέρας σας ουδέ έδωκα εις αυτούς εντολάς, καθ' ην ημέραν εξήγαγον αυτούς εκ γης Αιγύπτου, περί ολοκαυτωμάτων και θυσιών·
For Y spak not with youre fadris, and Y comaundide not to hem of the word of brent sacrifices, and of slayn sacrifices, in the dai in which Y ledde hem out of the lond of Egipt.
23 αλλά τον λόγον τούτον προσέταξα εις αυτούς, λέγων, Ακούσατε την φωνήν μου και θέλω είσθαι Θεός σας, και σεις θέλετε είσθαι λαός μου· και περιπατείτε εν πάσαις ταις οδοίς, τας οποίας διώρισα εις εσάς, διά να ευημερήτε·
But Y comaundide this word to hem, and Y seide, Here ye my vois, and Y schal be God to you, and ye schulen be a puple to me; and go ye in al the weie which Y comaundide to you, that it be wel to you.
24 πλην δεν ήκουσαν ουδέ έκλιναν το ωτίον αυτών, αλλά περιεπάτησαν εν ταις βουλαίς, εν ταις ορέξεσι της πονηράς αυτών καρδίας, και υπήγον εις τα οπίσω και ουχί εις τα εμπρός.
And thei herden not, nether bowiden doun her eere, but thei yeden in her lustis, and in the schrewidnesse of her yuel herte; and thei ben put bihynde, and not bifore,
25 Αφ' ης ημέρας εξήλθον οι πατέρες σας εκ γης Αιγύπτου έως της ημέρας ταύτης, εξαπέστειλα προς εσάς πάντας τους δούλους μου τους προφήτας, καθ' ημέραν εγειρόμενος πρωΐ και αποστέλλων·
fro the dai in which her fadris yeden out of the lond of Egipt til to this dai. And Y sente to you alle my seruauntis profetis, and Y roos eerli bi the dai, and Y sente.
26 πλην δεν μου υπήκουσαν ουδέ έκλιναν το ωτίον αυτών, αλλ' εσκλήρυναν τον τράχηλον αυτών, έπραξαν χειρότερα των πατέρων αυτών.
And thei herden not me, nether bowiden doun her eere; but thei maden hard her nol, and wrouyten worse than the fadris of hem.
27 Διά τούτο θέλεις λαλήσει προς αυτούς πάντας τούτους τους λόγους και δεν θέλουσι σε ακούσει· και θέλεις φωνάξει προς αυτούς και δεν θέλουσι σοι αποκριθή.
And thou schalt speke to hem alle these wordis, and thei schulen not heere thee; and thou schalt clepe hem, and thei schul not answere to thee.
28 Θέλεις όμως ειπεί προς αυτούς, Τούτο είναι το έθνος, το οποίον δεν ακούει την φωνήν Κυρίου του Θεού αυτού ουδέ δέχεται παιδείαν· η αλήθεια εξέλιπε και εχάθη από του στόματος αυτών.
And thou schalt seie to hem, This is the folc, that herde not the vois of her Lord God, nether resseyuede chastysyng; feith perischide, and is takun awei fro the mouth of hem.
29 Κούρευσον την κεφαλήν σου, Ιερουσαλήμ, και απόρριψον τας τρίχας, και ανάλαβε θρήνον επί τους υψηλούς τόπους· διότι ο Κύριος απέρριψε και εγκατέλιπε την γενεάν, κατά της οποίας ωργίσθη.
Clippe thin heer, and cast awei, and take thou weilyng streiytli; for the Lord hath cast awei, and hath forsake the generacioun of his strong veniaunce.
30 Διότι οι υιοί Ιούδα έπραξαν πονηρά ενώπιόν μου, λέγει Κύριος· έθεσαν τα βδελύγματα αυτών εν τω οίκω εφ' ον εκλήθη το όνομά μου, διά να μιάνωσιν αυτόν.
For the sones of Juda han do yuel bifor myn iyen, seith the Lord; thei han set her offendyngis in the hous, in which my name is clepid to help, that thei schulden defoule that hous;
31 Και ωκοδόμησαν τους υψηλούς τόπους του Τοφέθ, όστις είναι εν τη φάραγγι του υιού Εννόμ, διά να καίωσι τους υιούς αυτών και τας θυγατέρας αυτών εν πυρί· το οποίον δεν προσέταξα ουδέ ανέβη επί την καρδίαν μου.
and thei bildiden hiye thingis in Tophet, which is in the valei of the sone of Ennon, that thei schulden brenne her sones and her douytris bi fier, whiche thingis Y comaundide not, nether thouyte in myn herte.
32 Διά τούτο, ιδού, έρχονται ημέραι, λέγει Κύριος, καθ' ας δεν θέλει ονομάζεσθαι πλέον Τοφέθ ουδέ Φάραγξ του υιού Εννόμ, αλλ' η φάραγξ της σφαγής· διότι θέλουσι θάπτει εν Τοφέθ, εωσού να μη υπάρχη τόπος.
Therfor lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and it schal no more be seid Tophet, and the valei of the sone of Ennon, but the valey of sleyng; and thei schulen birie in Tophet, for ther is no place.
33 Και τα πτώματα του λαού τούτου θέλουσιν είσθαι τροφή εις τα πετεινά του ουρανού και εις τα θηρία της γής· και δεν θέλει είσθαι ο εκφοβίζων.
And the deed careyn of this puple schal be in to mete to the briddis of heuene, and to the beestis of erthe; and noon schal be that schal dryue awei.
34 Και θέλω παύσει από των πόλεων του Ιούδα και από των οδών της Ιερουσαλήμ την φωνήν της χαράς και την φωνήν της ευφροσύνης, την φωνήν του νυμφίου και την φωνήν της νύμφης· διότι η γη θέλει κατασταθή έρημος.
And Y schal make to ceesse the vois of ioye, and the vois of gladnesse, and the vois of spouse, and the vois of spousesse fro the citees of Juda, and fro the stretis of Jerusalem; for the lond schal be in desolacioun.
