Ἱερεμίας 10
1 Ακούσατε τον λόγον, τον οποίον ο Κύριος λαλεί προς εσάς, οίκος Ισραήλ.
Hear the word which he has spoken Yahweh to you O house of Israel.
2 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος· Μη μανθάνετε την οδόν των εθνών και εις τα σημεία του ουρανού μη πτοείσθε, διότι τα έθνη πτοούνται εις αυτά.
Thus - he says Yahweh [the] way of the nations may not you learn and from [the] signs of the heavens may not you be dismayed for they are dismayed the nations from them.
3 Διότι τα νόμιμα των λαών είναι μάταια, διότι κόπτουσι ξύλον εκ του δάσους, έργον χειρών τέκτονος με τον πέλεκυν.
For [the] customs of the peoples [is] futility it for a tree from a forest someone has cut down it [the] work of [the] hands of a craftsman with tool.
4 Καλλωπίζουσιν αυτό με άργυρον και χρυσόν· στερεόνουσιν αυτό με καρφία και με σφύρας, διά να μη κινήται.
With silver and with gold he beautifies it with nails and with hammers they make strong them and not it will wobble.
5 Είναι όρθια ως φοίνιξ, αλλά δεν λαλούσιν· έχουσι χρείαν να βαστάζωνται, διότι δεν δύνανται να περιπατήσωσι. Μη φοβείσθε αυτά· διότι δεν δύνανται να κακοποιήσωσιν, ουδέ είναι δυνατόν εις αυτά να αγαθοποιήσωσι.
[are] like A scarecrow of a cucumber field they and not they speak certainly they are carried for not they walk may not you be afraid from them for not they do harm and also [is] doing good there not with them.
6 Δεν υπάρχει όμοιός σου, Κύριε· είσαι μέγας και μέγα το όνομά σου εν δυνάμει.
From there not [is] like you O Yahweh [are] great you and [is] great name your in strength.
7 Τις δεν ήθελε σε φοβείσθαι, Βασιλεύ των εθνών; διότι εις σε ανήκει τούτο, διότι μεταξύ πάντων των σοφών των εθνών και εν πάσι τοις βασιλείοις αυτών δεν υπάρχει όμοιός σου.
Who? not will he fear you O king of the nations for for you it is befitting that among all [the] wise [people] of the nations and among all kingdom their from there not [is] like you.
8 Αλλ' είναι παντάπασι κτηνώδεις και άφρονες· διδασκαλία ματαιοτήτων είναι το ξύλον.
And in one they are stupid and they may be foolish [the] correction of futilities [is] wood it.
9 Αργύριον κεχυμένον εις πλάκας εφέρθη από Θαρσείς και χρυσίον από Ουφάζ, έργον τεχνίτου και χειρών χρυσοχόου· κυανούν και πορφυρούν είναι το ένδυμα αυτών· έργον σοφών πάντα ταύτα.
Silver beaten from Tarshish it is brought and gold from Uphaz [the] work of a craftsman and [the] hands of a metalsmith [is] violet stuff and purple clothing their [are the] work of skillful [people] all of them.
10 Αλλ' ο Κύριος είναι Θεός αληθινός, είναι Θεός ζων και βασιλεύς αιώνιος· εν τη οργή αυτού η γη θέλει σεισθή και τα έθνη δεν θέλουσιν ανθέξει εις την αγανάκτησιν αυτού.
And Yahweh [is] God truth he [is] God living and king of perpetuity from wrath his it shakes the earth and not they will endure nations indignation his.
11 Ούτω θέλετε ειπεί προς αυτούς· οι θεοί, οίτινες δεν έκαμον τον ουρανόν και την γην, θέλουσιν αφανισθή από της γης και υποκάτωθεν του ουρανού τούτου.
Like this you will say to them gods the who heavens the and earth the not they made may they perish from earth the and from under heavens the these.
12 Αυτός εποίησε την γην διά της δυνάμεως αυτού, εστερέωσε την οικουμένην εν τη σοφία αυτού, και εξέτεινε τους ουρανούς εν τη συνέσει αυτού.
[he] made [the] earth By power his [he] established [the] world by wisdom his and by understanding his he stretched out [the] heavens.
13 Όταν εκπέμπη την φωνήν αυτού, συνίσταται πλήθος υδάτων εν ουρανοίς, και ανάγει νεφέλας από των άκρων της γής· κάμνει αστραπάς διά βροχήν και εξάγει άνεμον από των θησαυρών αυτού.
To [the] sound of giving forth he a tumult of waters in the heavens and he made come up clouds from [the] end of (the earth *Q(K)*) lightning for the rain he makes and he brought out [the] wind from storehouses his.
14 Πας άνθρωπος εμωράνθη υπό της γνώσεως αυτού, πας χωνευτής κατησχύνθη υπό των γλυπτών· διότι ψεύδος είναι το χωνευτόν αυτού και πνοή δεν υπάρχει εν αυτώ.
He is stupid every person from knowledge he has been put to shame every metalsmith from [the] idol for [is] deception molten image his and not breath [is] in them.
15 Ματαιότης ταύτα, έργον πλάνης· εν τω καιρώ της επισκέψεως αυτών θέλουσιν απολεσθή.
[are] futility They a work of mockery at [the] time of punishment their they will perish.
16 Η μερίς του Ιακώβ δεν είναι ως αυτά· διότι αυτός είναι ο πλάσας τα πάντα, και ο Ισραήλ είναι η ράβδος της κληρονομίας αυτού· Κύριος των δυνάμεων το όνομα αυτού.
Not [is] like these [the] portion of Jacob for [is [the] one who] formed everything he and Israel [is] [the] tribe of inheritance his [is] Yahweh of hosts name his.
17 Σύναξον εκ της γης την περιουσίαν σου, συ, η κατοικούσα εν οχυρώματι.
Gather up from [the] ground bundle your (O [you who] dwell *Q(K)*) in the siege.
18 Διότι ούτω λέγει Κύριος· Ιδού, εγώ θέλω εκσφενδονίσει τους κατοίκους της γης ταύτην την φοράν και θέλω στενοχωρήσει αυτούς, ώστε να εύρωσιν αυτό.
For thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to hurl forth [the] inhabitants of the land at the time this and I will cause distress to them so that they may find.
19 Ουαί εις εμέ διά την θραύσίν μου· η πληγή μου είναι οδυνηρά. αλλ' εγώ είπα, Τωόντι τούτο είναι πόνος μου, και πρέπει να υποφέρω αυτόν.
Woe! to me on fracture my [is] severe wound my and I I said surely this [is] a sickness and I will endure it.
20 Η σκηνή μου ηρημώθη και πάντα τα σχοινία μου κατεκόπησαν· οι υιοί μου εχωρίσθησαν απ' εμού και δεν υπάρχουσι· δεν υπάρχει πλέον ο εκτείνων την σκηνήν μου και σηκόνων τα παραπετάσματά μου.
Tent my it has been devastated and all tent cords my they have been snapped children my they have gone out from me and there not [are] they there not [is one who] pitches again tent my and [one who] raises tent curtains my.
21 Επειδή οι ποιμένες εμωράνθησαν και τον Κύριον δεν εξεζήτησαν, διά τούτο δεν θέλουσιν ευοδωθή και πάντα τα ποίμνια αυτών θέλουσι διασκορπισθή.
For they have behaved stupidly the shepherds and Yahweh not they have sought there-fore not they have prospered and all flock their it has been scattered.
22 Ιδού, ήχος θορύβου έρχεται και συγκίνησις μεγάλη εκ της γης του βορρά, διά να καταστήση τας πόλεις του Ιούδα ερήμωσιν, κατοικίαν θώων.
[the] sound of A report there! [it is] coming and a din great from a land of [the] north to make [the] cities of Judah a desolation a habitation of jackals.
23 Κύριε, γνωρίζω ότι η οδός του ανθρώπου δεν εξαρτάται απ' αυτού· του περιπατούντος ανθρώπου δεν είναι το να κατευθύνη τα διαβήματα αυτού.
I know O Yahweh that not [belongs] to person way his not [belongs] to a person [who] walks to direct step[s] his.
24 Κύριε, παίδευσόν με, πλην εν κρίσει· μη εν τω θυμώ σου, διά να μη με συντελέσης.
Correct me O Yahweh only in justice may not [it be] in anger your lest you should diminish me.
25 Έκχεε τον θυμόν σου επί τα έθνη τα μη γνωρίζοντά σε, και επί γενεάς, αίτινες δεν επικαλούνται το όνομά σου· διότι κατέφαγον τον Ιακώβ και κατηνάλωσαν αυτόν και κατέφθειραν αυτόν και ηρήμωσαν την κατοικίαν αυτού.
Pour out rage your on the nations which not they have known you and on clans which on name your not they have called for they have consumed Jacob and they have consumed him and they have made an end of him and habitation his they have devastated.
