Ἠσαΐας 65

1 Εζητήθην παρά των μη ερωτώντων περί εμού· ευρέθην παρά των ζητούντων με· είπα, Ιδού, εγώ, ιδού, εγώ, προς έθνος μη καλούμενον με το όνομά μου.

I have bene sought of them that asked not: I was found of them that sought me not: I sayd, Beholde me, beholde me, vnto a nation that called not vpon my Name.

2 Εξήπλωσα τας χείρας μου όλην την ημέραν προς λαόν απειθή, περιπατούντα εν οδώ ουχί καλή, οπίσω των διαβουλίων αυτών,

I haue spred out mine handes all the day vnto a rebellious people, which walked in a way that was not good, euen after their owne imaginations:

3 λαόν παροξύνοντά με πάντοτε κατά πρόσωπόν μου, θυσιάζοντα εν κήποις και θυμιάζοντα επί πλίνθων,

A people that prouoked me euer vnto my face: that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense vpon brickes.

4 μένοντα εν τοις μνήμασι και διανυκτερεύοντα εν αποκρύφοις, τρώγοντα χοίρειον κρέας και εν τοις αγγείοις αυτού έχοντα ζωμόν ακαθάρτων πραγμάτων,

Which remaine among the graues, and lodge in the desarts, which eate swines flesh, and the broth of things polluted are in their vessels.

5 λέγοντα, Μακράν απ' εμού, μη με εγγίσης, διότι είμαι αγιώτερός σου. Ούτοι είναι καπνός εις τους μυκτήράς μου, πυρ καιόμενον όλην την ημέραν.

Which say, Stand apart, come not neere to me: for I am holier then thou: these are a smoke in my wrath and a fire that burneth all the day.

6 Ιδού, γεγραμμένον είναι ενώπιόν μου, δεν θέλω σιωπήσει αλλά θέλω ανταποδώσει, ναι, θέλω ανταποδώσει εις τους κόλπους αυτών

Beholde, it is written before me: I wil not keepe silence, but will render it and recompense it into their bosome.

7 τας ανομίας σας και τας ανομίας των πατέρων σας ομού, λέγει Κύριος, οίτινες εθυμίασαν επί των ορέων και με εβλασφήμησαν επί των λόφων· διά τούτο θέλω αντιπληρώσει εις τους κόλπους αυτών τα απ' αρχής έργα αυτών.

Your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers shalbe together (sayth the Lord) which haue burnt incense vpon the mountaines, and blasphemed me vpon the hilles: therefore wil I measure their olde worke into their bosome.

8 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος· Καθώς όταν ευρίσκηται γλεύκος εν τη σταφυλή, λέγουσι, Μη φθείρης αυτό, διότι είναι ευλογία εν αυτώ· ούτω θέλω κάμει ένεκεν των δούλων μου, διά να μη εξολοθρεύσω πάντας.

Thus sayth the Lord, As the wine is found in the cluster, and one sayth, Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it, so will I doe for my seruants sakes, that I may not destroy them whole.

9 Και θέλω εξάξει σπέρμα εξ Ιακώβ και κληρονόμον των ορέων μου εξ Ιούδα· και οι εκλεκτοί μου θέλουσι κληρονομήσει αυτά και οι δούλοί μου θέλουσι κατοικήσει εκεί.

But I will bring a seede out of Iaakob, and out of Iudah, that shall inherit my mountaine: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my seruants shall dwell there.

10 Και ο Σαρών θέλει είσθαι μάνδρα των ποιμνίων και η κοιλάς του Αχώρ τόπος εις ανάπαυσιν των βουκολίων, διά τον λαόν μου τον εκζητούντά με.

And Sharon shalbe a sheepefolde, and the valley of Achor shalbe a resting place for the cattell of my people, that haue sought me.

11 Εσάς όμως, τους εγκαταλείποντας τον Κύριον, τους λησμονούντας το άγιόν μου όρος, τους ετοιμάζοντας τράπεζαν εις τον Γάδην και τους κάμνοντας σπονδήν εις τον Μένι,

But ye are they that haue forsaken the Lord and forgotten mine holy Mountaine, and haue prepared a table for the multitude, and furnish the drinke offerings vnto the number.

12 θέλω σας αριθμήσει διά την μάχαιραν και πάντες θέλετε κύψει εις την σφαγήν· διότι εκάλουν και δεν απεκρίνεσθε· ελάλουν και δεν ηκούετε· αλλ' επράττετε το κακόν ενώπιόν μου και εξελέγετε το μη αρεστόν εις εμέ.

Therefore wil I number you to the sword, and all you shall bowe downe to the slaughter, because I called, and ye did not answere: I spake, and ye heard not, but did euil in my sight, and did chuse that thing which I would not.

13 Όθεν ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, οι δούλοί μου θέλουσι φάγει, σεις δε θέλετε πεινάσει· ιδού, οι δούλοί μου θέλουσι πίει, σεις δε θέλετε διψήσει· ιδού, οι δούλοί μου θέλουσιν ευφρανθή, σεις δε θέλετε αισχυνθή·

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Beholde, my seruants shall eate, and ye shalbe hungrie: beholde, my seruants shall drinke, and ye shall be thirstie: beholde, my seruants shall reioyce, and ye shalbe ashamed.

14 ιδού, οι δούλοί μου θέλουσιν αλαλάζει εν ευθυμία, σεις δε θέλετε βοά εν πόνω καρδίας και ολολύζει υπό καταθλίψεως πνεύματος.

Beholde, my seruants shall sing for ioye of heart, and ye shall crye for sorow of heart, and shall howle for vexation of minde.

15 Και θέλετε αφήσει το όνομά σας εις τους εκλεκτούς μου διά κατάραν· διότι Κύριος ο Θεός θέλει σε θανατώσει και με άλλο όνομα θέλει ονομάσει τους δούλους αυτού,

And ye shall leaue your name as a curse vnto my chosen: for the Lord God shall slay you and call his seruants by another name.

16 διά να μακαρίζη εαυτόν εις τον Θεόν της αληθείας ο μακαρίζων εαυτόν επί της γής· και να ομνύη εις τον Θεόν της αληθείας ο ομνύων επί της γής· διότι αι πρότεραι θλίψεις ελησμονήθησαν και διότι εκρύφθησαν από των οφθαλμών μου.

He that shall blesse in the earth, shall blesse himselfe in the true God, and he that sweareth in the earth, shall sweare by the true God: for the former troubles are forgotten, and shall surely hide themselues from mine eyes.

17 Επειδή ιδού, νέους ουρανούς κτίζω και νέαν γήν· και δεν θέλει είσθαι μνήμη των προτέρων ουδέ θέλουσιν ελθεί εις τον νούν.

For lo, I will create newe heauens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembred nor come into minde.

18 Αλλ' ευφραίνεσθε και χαίρετε πάντοτε εις εκείνο το οποίον κτίζω· διότι, ιδού, κτίζω την Ιερουσαλήμ αγαλλίαμα και τον λαόν αυτής ευφροσύνην.

But be you glad and reioyce for euer in the things that I shall create: for beholde, I will create Ierusalem, as a reioycing and her people as a ioye,

19 Και θέλω αγάλλεσθαι εις την Ιερουσαλήμ και ευφραίνεσθαι εις τον λαόν μου· και δεν θέλει ακουσθή πλέον εν αυτή φωνή κλαυθμού και φωνή κραυγής.

And I wil reioyce in Ierusalem, and ioye in my people, and the voyce of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voyce of crying.

20 Δεν θέλει είσθαι πλέον εκεί βρέφος ολιγοήμερον και γέρων όστις δεν επλήρωσε τας ημέρας αυτού· διότι το παιδίον θέλει αποθνήσκει εκατόν ετών, ο δε εκατόν ετών αμαρτωλός θέλει είσθαι επικατάρατος.

There shall be no more there a childe of yeeres, nor an olde man that hath not filled his dayes: for he that shall be an hundreth yeeres old, shall dye as a yong man: but the sinner being an hundreth yeeres olde shall be accursed.

21 Και θέλουσιν οικοδομήσει οικίας και κατοικήσει, και θέλουσι φυτεύσει αμπελώνας και φάγει τον καρπόν αυτών.

And they shall build houses and inhabite them, and they shall plant vineyards, and eate the fruite of them.

22 δεν θέλουσι κτίσει αυτοί και άλλος να κατοικήση· δεν θέλουσι φυτεύσει αυτοί και άλλος να φάγη· διότι αι ημέραι του λαού μου είναι ως αι ημέραι του δένδρου και οι εκλεκτοί μου θέλουσι παλαιώσει το έργον των χειρών αυτών.

They shall not build, and another inhabite: they shall not plant, and another eate: for as the dayes of the tree are the dayes of my people, and mine elect shall inioye in olde age the worke of their handes.

23 Δεν θέλουσι κοπιάζει εις μάτην ουδέ θέλουσι τεκνοποιεί διά καταστροφήν· διότι είναι σπέρμα των ευλογημένων του Κυρίου και οι έκγονοι αυτών μετ' αυτών.

They shall not labour in vaine, nor bring forth in feare: for they are the seede of the blessed of the Lord, and their buds with them.

24 Και πριν αυτοί κράξωσιν, εγώ θέλω αποκρίνεσθαι· και ενώ αυτοί λαλούσιν, εγώ θέλω ακούει.

Yea, before they call, I will answere, and whiles they speake, I will heare.

25 Ο λύκος και το αρνίον θέλουσι βόσκεσθαι ομού, και ο λέων θέλει τρώγει άχυρον ως ο βούς· άρτος δε του όφεως θέλει είσθαι το χώμα· εν όλω τω αγίω μου όρει δεν θέλουσι κάμνει ζημίαν ουδέ φθοράν, λέγει Κύριος.

The wolfe and the lambe shall feede together, and the lyon shall eate strawe like the bullocke: and to the serpent dust shall be his meate. They shall no more hurt nor destroy in all mine holy Mountaine, saith the Lord.
