Ἠσαΐας 61
1 Πνεύμα Κυρίου του Θεού είναι επ' εμέ· διότι ο Κύριος με έχρισε διά να ευαγγελίζωμαι εις τους πτωχούς· με απέστειλε διά να ιατρεύσω τους συντετριμμένους την καρδίαν, να κηρύξω ελευθερίαν εις τους αιχμαλώτους και άνοιξιν δεσμωτηρίου εις τους δεσμίους·
The Spirit of the Lord God is vpon mee, therefore hath the Lord anoynted mee: hee hath sent mee to preache good tidings vnto the poore, to binde vp the broken hearted, to preach libertie to the captiues, and to them that are bound, the opening of the prison,
2 διά να κηρύξω ενιαυτόν ευπρόσδεκτον του Κυρίου και ημέραν εκδικήσεως του Θεού ημών· διά να παρηγορήσω πάντας τους πενθούντας·
To preache the acceptable yeere of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourne,
3 διά να θέσω εις τους πενθούντας εν Σιών, να δώσω εις αυτούς ώραιότητα αντί της στάκτης, έλαιον ευφροσύνης αντί του πένθους, στολήν αινέσεως αντί του πνεύματος της ακηδίας· διά να ονομάζωνται δένδρα δικαιοσύνης, φύτευμα του Κυρίου, εις δόξαν αυτού.
To appoint vnto them that mourne in Zion, and to giue vnto them beautie for ashes, the oyle of ioye for mourning, the garment of gladnesse for the spirit of heauinesse, that they might be called trees of righteousnesse, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
4 Και θέλουσιν ανοικοδομήσει τας παλαιάς ερημώσεις, θέλουσιν ανεγείρει τα αρχαία ερείπια, και θέλουσιν ανακαινίσει τας ερήμους πόλεις, τας ηρημωμένας από γενεάς γενεών.
And they shall builde the olde waste places, and raise vp the former desolations, and they shall repaire the cities that were desolate and waste through many generations.
5 Και αλλογενείς θέλουσιν ίστασθαι και βόσκει τα ποίμνιά σας, και οι υιοί των αλλογενών θέλουσιν είσθαι οι γεωργοί σας και οι αμπελουργοί σας.
And the strangers shall stande and feede your sheepe, and the sonnes of the strangers shall be your plowmen and dressers of your vines.
6 Σεις δε ιερείς του Κυρίου θέλετε ονομάζεσθαι· λειτουργούς του Θεού ημών θέλουσι σας λέγει· θέλετε τρώγει τα αγαθά των εθνών και εις την δόξαν αυτών θέλετε καυχάσθαι.
But ye shall be named the Priestes of the Lord, and men shall say vnto you, The ministers of our God, Ye shall eate the riches of the Gentiles, and shalbe exalted with their glorie.
7 Αντί της αισχύνης σας θέλετε έχει διπλάσια· και αντί της εντροπής θέλουσιν έχει αγαλλίασιν εν τη κληρονομία αυτών· όθεν εν τη γη αυτών θέλουσι κληρονομήσει το διπλούν· αιώνιος ευφροσύνη θέλει είσθαι εις αυτούς.
For your shame you shall receiue double, and for confusion they shall reioyce in their portion: for in their lande they shall possesse the double: euerlasting ioy shall be vnto them.
8 Διότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος, ο αγαπών δικαιοσύνην, ο μισών αρπαγήν και αδικίαν· και θέλω ανταποδώσει το έργον αυτών πιστά και θέλω κάμει προς αυτούς διαθήκην αιώνιον.
For I the Lord loue iudgement and hate robberie for burnt offering, and I wil direct their worke in trueth, and will make an euerlasting couenant with them.
9 Και το σπέρμα αυτών θέλει φημισθή μεταξύ των εθνών και οι έκγονοι αυτών μεταξύ των λαών· πας ο βλέπων αυτούς θέλει γνωρίζει αυτούς, ότι είναι το σπέρμα, το οποίον ο Κύριος ευλόγησε.
And their seede shall be knowen among the Gentiles, and their buddes among the people. All that see them, shall know them, that they are the seede which the Lord hath blessed.
10 Θέλω ευφρανθή τα μέγιστα επί τον Κύριον· η ψυχή μου θέλει αγαλλιασθή εις τον Θεόν μου· διότι με ενέδυσεν ιμάτιον σωτηρίας, με εφόρεσεν επένδυμα δικαιοσύνης, ως νυμφίον ευπρεπισμένον με μίτραν και ως νύμφην κεκοσμημένην με τα πολύτιμα αυτής καλλωπίσματα.
I will greatly reioyce in the Lord, and my soule shall be ioyfull in my God: for he hath clothed mee with the garments of saluation, and couered me with the robe of righteousnes: hee hath decked me like a bridegrome, and as a bride tireth herselfe with her iewels.
11 Διότι καθώς η γη αναδίδει το βλάστημα αυτής και καθώς ο κήπος εκφύει τα σπειρόμενα εν αυτώ ούτω Κύριος ο Θεός θέλει κάμει την δικαιοσύνην και την αίνεσιν να βλαστήσωσιν ενώπιον πάντων των εθνών.
For as the earth bringeth foorth her bud, and as the garden causeth to growe that which is sowen in it: so the Lord God will cause righteousnesse to grow and praise before all the heathen.
