Ἠσαΐας 43
1 Και τώρα ούτω λέγει Κύριος, ο δημιουργός σου, Ιακώβ, και ο πλάστης σου, Ισραήλ· Μη φοβού· διότι εγώ σε ελύτρωσα, σε εκάλεσα με το όνομά σου· εμού είσαι.
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine.
2 Όταν διαβαίνης διά των υδάτων, μετά σου θέλω είσθαι· και όταν διά των ποταμών, δεν θέλουσι πλημμυρήσει επί σέ· όταν περιπατής διά του πυρός, δεν θέλεις καή ουδέ θέλει εξαφθή η φλόξ επί σε.
When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 Διότι εγώ είμαι Κύριος ο Θεός σου, ο Άγιος του Ισραήλ, ο Σωτήρ σου· διά αντίλυτρόν σου έδωκα την Αίγυπτον· υπέρ σου την Αιθιοπίαν και Σεβά.
For I [am] the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior: I gave Egypt [for] thy ransom, Cush and Seba for thee.
4 Αφότου εστάθης πολύτιμος εις τους οφθαλμούς μου, εδοξάσθης και εγώ σε ηγάπησα· και θέλω δώσει ανθρώπους πολλούς υπέρ σου και λαούς υπέρ της κεφαλής σου.
Since thou hast been precious in my sight, thou hast been honorable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
5 Μη φοβού· διότι εγώ είμαι μετά σού· από ανατολών θέλω φέρει το σπέρμα σου και από δυσμών θέλω σε συνάξει·
Fear not: for I [am] with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 Θέλω ειπεί προς τον βορράν, Δός· και προς τον νότον, Μη εμποδίσης· φέρε τους υιούς μου από μακράν και τας θυγατέρας μου από των άκρων της γης,
I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 πάντας όσοι καλούνται με το όνομά μου· διότι εδημιούργησα αυτούς διά την δόξαν μου, έπλασα αυτούς και έκαμα αυτούς.
[Even] every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; verily, I have made him.
8 Εξάγαγε τον λαόν τον τυφλόν και έχοντα οφθαλμούς και τον κωφόν και έχοντα ώτα.
Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
9 Ας συναθροισθώσι πάντα τα έθνη και ας συναχθώσιν οι λαοί· τις μεταξύ αυτών ανήγγειλε τούτο και έδειξεν εις ημάς τα πρότερα; ας φέρωσι τους μάρτυρας αυτών και ας δικαιωθώσιν· και ας ακούσωσι και ας είπωσι, Τούτο είναι αληθινόν.
Let all the nations be collected, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, [It is] truth.
10 Σεις είσθε μάρτυρές μου, λέγει Κύριος, και ο δούλός μου, τον οποίον εξέλεξα, διά να μάθητε και να πιστεύσητε εις εμέ και να εννοήσητε ότι εγώ αυτός είμαι· προ εμού άλλος Θεός δεν υπήρξεν ουδέ θέλει υπάρχει μετ' εμέ.
Ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I [am] he: before me there was no god formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 Εγώ, εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος· και εκτός εμού σωτήρ δεν υπάρχει.
I, [even] I, [am] the LORD; and besides me [there is] no savior.
12 Εγώ ανήγγειλα και έσωσα και έδειξα· και δεν εστάθη εις εσάς ξένος θεός· σεις δε είσθε μάρτυρές μου, λέγει Κύριος, και εγώ ο Θεός.
I have declared, and have saved, and I have shown, when [there was] no strange [god] among you: therefore ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I [am] God.
13 Και πριν γείνη η ημέρα, εγώ αυτός ήμην· και δεν υπάρχει ο λυτρόνων εκ της χειρός μου· θέλω κάμει και τις δύναται να εμποδίση αυτό;
Yes, before the day [was], I [am] he; and [there is] none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it?
14 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος, ο Λυτρωτής σας, ο Άγιος του Ισραήλ· διά σας εξαπέστειλα εις την Βαβυλώνα και κατέβαλον πάντας τους φυγάδας αυτής και τους Χαλδαίους τους εγκαυχωμένους εις τα πλοία.
Thus saith the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry [is] in the ships.
15 Εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος, ο Άγιός σας, ο Ποιητής του Ισραήλ, ο Βασιλεύς σας.
I [am] the LORD, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
16 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος, όστις έκαμεν οδόν εις την θάλασσαν και τρίβον εις τα ισχυρά ύδατα·
Thus saith the LORD, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
17 όστις εξήγαγεν αμάξας και ίππους, στράτευμα και ρωμαλέους· πάντα ομού εξηπλώθησαν κάτω, δεν εσηκώθησαν· ηφανίσθησαν, εσβέσθησαν ως στυπίον.
Who bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
18 Μη ενθυμήσθε τα πρότερα και μη συλλογίζεσθε τα παλαιά.
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19 Ιδού, εγώ θέλω κάμει νέον πράγμα· τώρα θέλει ανατείλει· δεν θέλετε γνωρίσει αυτό; θέλω βεβαίως κάμει οδόν εν τη ερήμω, ποταμούς εν τη ανύδρω.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert.
20 Τα θηρία του αγρού θέλουσι με δοξάσει, οι θώες και οι στρουθοκάμηλοι· διότι δίδω ύδατα εις την έρημον, ποταμούς εις την άνυδρον, διά να ποτίσω τον λαόν μου, τον εκλεκτόν μου.
The beast of the field shall honor me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
21 Ο λαός, τον οποίον έπλασα εις εμαυτόν, θέλει διηγείσθαι την αίνεσίν μου.
This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise.
22 Αλλά συ, Ιακώβ, δεν με επεκαλέσθης· αλλά συ, Ισραήλ, εβαρύνθης απ' εμού.
But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
23 Δεν προσέφερες εις εμέ τα αρνία των ολοκαυτωμάτων σου ουδέ με ετίμησας με τας θυσίας σου. Εγώ δεν σε εδούλωσα με προσφοράς ουδέ σε εβάρυνα με θυμίαμα·
Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt-offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.
24 δεν ηγόρασας με αργύριον κάλαμον αρωματικόν δι' εμέ, ουδέ με ενέπλησας από του πάχους των θυσιών σου· αλλά με εδούλωσας με τας αμαρτίας σου, με επεβάρυνας με τας ανομίας σου.
Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thy iniquities.
25 Εγώ, εγώ είμαι, όστις εξαλείφω τας παραβάσεις σου ένεκεν εμού, και δεν θέλω ενθυμηθή τας αμαρτίας σου.
I, [even] I, [am] he that blotteth out thy transgressions for my own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
26 Ενθύμισόν με· ας κριθώμεν ομού· λέγε συ, διά να δικαιωθής.
Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
27 Ο προπάτωρ σου ημάρτησε και οι διδάσκαλοί σου ηνόμησαν εις εμέ.
Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
28 Διά τούτο θέλω καταστήσει βεβήλους τους άρχοντας του αγιαστηρίου, και θέλω παραδώσει τον Ιακώβ εις κατάραν και τον Ισραήλ εις ονειδισμούς.
Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
