Ἠσαΐας 24
1 Ιδού, ο Κύριος κενόνει την γην και ερημόνει αυτήν και ανατρέπει αυτήν και διασκορπίζει τους κατοίκους αυτής.
Behold, Jehovah makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down, and scatters abroad the inhabitants of it.
2 Και θέλει είσθαι, ως ο λαός, ούτως ο ιερεύς· ως ο θεράπων, ούτως ο κύριος αυτού· ως η θεράπαινα, ούτως η κυρία αυτής· ως ο αγοραστής, ούτως ο πωλητής· ως ο δανειστής, ούτως ο δανειζόμενος· ως ο λαμβάνων τόκον, ούτως ο πληρόνων τόκον εις αυτόν.
And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest, as with the servant, so with his master, as with the maid, so with her mistress, as with the buyer, so with the seller, as with the creditor, so with the debtor, as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him.
3 Ολοκλήρως θέλει κενωθή η γη και ολοκλήρως θέλει γυμνωθή· διότι ο Κύριος ελάλησε τον λόγον τούτον.
The earth shall be utterly emptied, and utterly laid waste, for Jehovah has spoken this word.
4 Η γη πενθεί, μαραίνεται, ο κόσμος ατονεί, μαραίνεται, οι υψηλοί εκ των λαών της γης είναι ητονημένοι.
The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.
5 Και η γη εμολύνθη υποκάτω των κατοίκων αυτής· διότι παρέβησαν τους νόμους, ήλλαξαν το διάταγμα, ηθέτησαν διαθήκην αιώνιον.
The earth also is polluted under the inhabitants of it, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Διά τούτο η αρά κατέφαγε την γην και οι κατοικούντες εν αυτή ηρημώθησαν· διά τούτο οι κάτοικοι της γης κατεκαύθησαν και ολίγοι άνθρωποι έμειναν.
Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
7 Ο νέος οίνος πενθεί, η άμπελος είναι εν ατονία, πάντες οι ευφραινόμενοι την καρδίαν στενάζουσιν.
The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted do sigh.
8 Η ευφροσύνη των τυμπάνων παύει· ο θόρυβος των ευθυμούντων τελειόνει· παύει της κιθάρας η ευφροσύνη.
The mirth of tambourine ceases. The noise of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases.
9 δεν θέλουσι πίνει οίνον μετά ασμάτων· το σίκερα θέλει είσθαι πικρόν εις τους πίνοντας αυτό.
They shall not drink wine with a song. Strong drink shall be bitter to those who drink it.
10 Η πόλις της ερημώσεως ηφανίσθη· πάσα οικία εκλείσθη, ώστε να μη εισέλθη μηδείς.
The waste city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in.
11 Κραυγή είναι εν ταις οδοίς διά τον οίνον· πάσα ευθυμία παρήλθεν· η χαρά του τόπου έφυγεν.
There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone.
12 Ερημία έμεινεν εν τη πόλει, και η πύλη εκτυπήθη υπό αφανισμού·
Desolation is left in the city, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
13 όταν γείνη ούτως εν μέσω της γης μεταξύ των λαών, θέλει είσθαι ως τιναγμός ελαίας, ως το σταφυλολόγημα αφού παύση ο τρυγητός.
For thus shall it be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.
14 Ούτοι θέλουσιν υψώσει την φωνήν αυτών, θέλουσι ψάλλει διά την μεγαλειότητα του Κυρίου, θέλουσι μεγαλοφωνεί από της θαλάσσης.
These shall lift up their voice. They shall shout. For the majesty of Jehovah they cry aloud from the sea.
15 Διά τούτο δοξάσατε τον Κύριον εν ταις κοιλάσι, το όνομα Κυρίου του Θεού του Ισραήλ εν ταις νήσοις της θαλάσσης.
Therefore glorify ye Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea.
16 Απ' άκρου της γης ηκούσαμεν άσματα, Δόξα εις τον δίκαιον. Αλλ' εγώ είπα, Ταλαιπωρία μου, ταλαιπωρία μου· ουαί εις εμέ· οι άπιστοι απίστως έπραξαν· ναι, οι άπιστοι πολλά απίστως έπραξαν.
From the outermost part of the earth we have heard songs. Glory to the righteous. But I said, I pine away, I pine away. Woe is me! The treacherous have dealt treacherously, yea, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.
17 Φόβος και λάκκος και παγίς είναι επί σε, κάτοικε της γης.
Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 Και ο φεύγων από του ήχου του φόβου θέλει πέσει εις τον λάκκον· και ο αναβαίνων εκ μέσου του λάκκου θέλει πιασθή εις την παγίδα· διότι αι θυρίδες άνωθεν είναι ανοικταί, και τα θεμέλια της γης σείονται.
And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit, and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare. For the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.
19 Η γη κατεσυντρίφθη, η γη ολοκλήρως διελύθη, η γη εκινήθη εις υπερβολήν.
The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently.
20 Η γη θέλει κλονισθή εδώ και εκεί ως ο μεθύων και θέλει μετακινηθή ως καλύβη· και η ανομία αυτής θέλει βαρύνει επ' αυτήν· και θέλει πέσει και πλέον δεν θέλει σηκωθή.
The earth shall stagger like a drunken man, and shall sway to and fro like a hammock. And the transgression of it shall be heavy upon it, and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21 Και εν εκείνη τη ημέρα ο Κύριος θέλει παιδεύσει το στράτευμα των υψηλών εν τω ύψει και τους βασιλείς της γης επί της γης.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will punish the host of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 Και θέλουσι συναχθή, καθώς συνάγονται οι αιχμάλωτοι εις τον λάκκον, και θέλουσι κλεισθή εν τη φυλακή, και μετά πολλάς ημέρας θέλει γείνει επίσκεψις εις αυτούς.
And they shall be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison. And after many days they shall be visited.
23 Τότε η σελήνη θέλει εντραπή και ο ήλιος θέλει αισχυνθή, όταν ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων βασιλεύση εν τω όρει Σιών και εν Ιερουσαλήμ και δοξασθή ενώπιον των πρεσβυτέρων αυτού.
Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, for Jehovah of hosts will reign in mount Zion and in Jerusalem. And glory shall be before his elders.
