Ἠσαΐας 12

1 Και εν εκείνη τη ημέρα θέλεις ειπεί, Κύριε, θέλω σε δοξολογήσει· διότι αν και ωργίσθης εναντίον μου, εστράφη ο θυμός σου και με παρηγόρησας.

At that time, you [people of Jerusalem] will sing [this song]: “Yahweh, we praise you! [Previously], you were angry with us, but you are not angry now and you have comforted us.

2 Ιδού, ο Θεός είναι η σωτηρία μου· θέλω θαρρεί και δεν θέλω φοβείσθαι· διότι Κύριος ο Θεός είναι η δύναμίς μου και το άσμα· και εστάθη η σωτηρία μου.

Amazingly, you [have come to] save us, [so] we will trust [in you] and not be afraid. Yahweh our God, you enable us to be strong; you are [the one about whom] we sing; you have rescued us [from our enemies].”

3 Και εν ευφροσύνη θέλετε αντλήσει ύδωρ εκ των πηγών της σωτηρίας.

You(pl), [his people], will greatly enjoy being saved like [MET] you enjoy drinking water from a fountain.

4 Και εν εκείνη τη ημέρα θέλετε ειπεί, Δοξολογείτε τον Κύριον, επικαλείσθε το όνομα αυτού, κάμετε γνωστά εις τα έθνη τα έργα αυτού, μνημονεύετε ότι υψώθη το όνομα αυτού.

At that time you [all] will say, “We should thank Yahweh! We should praise him [MTY]! We should tell [the people of all] the people-groups what he has done; we should enable them to know that he [MTY] is very great!

5 Ψάλλετε εις τον Κύριον· διότι έκαμεν υψηλά· γνωστόν είναι εις πάσαν την γην.

We should sing to Yahweh, because he has done wonderful things. We should enable everyone in the world to know it!

6 Αγάλλου και ευφραίνου, κάτοικε της Σιών· διότι ο Άγιος του Ισραήλ είναι μέγας εν τω μέσω σου.

You people of Jerusalem, shout joyfully to praise Yahweh, because he is the great Holy One whom we Israeli [people worship], and he lives among us!”
