Ὡσηέʹ 5
1 Ακούσατε τούτο, ιερείς, και προσέξατε, οίκος Ισραήλ, και δότε ακρόασιν, οίκος βασιλέως· διότι προς εσάς είναι κρίσις· επειδή εστάθητε παγίς επί Μισπά και δίκτυον ηπλωμένον επί το Θαβώρ.
O ye Priestes, heare this, and hearken ye, O house of Israel, and giue ye eare, O house of the King: for iudgement is towarde you, because you haue bene a snare on Mizpah, and a net spred vpon Tabor.
2 Και οι αγρεύοντες έκαμον βαθείαν σφαγήν· αλλ' εγώ θέλω παιδεύσει πάντας αυτούς.
Yet they were profounde, to decline to slaughter, though I haue bene a rebuker of them all.
3 Εγώ εγνώρισα τον Εφραΐμ, και ο Ισραήλ δεν είναι κεκρυμμένος απ' εμού· διότι τώρα πορνεύεις, Εφραΐμ, και εμιάνθη ο Ισραήλ.
I knowe Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for nowe, O Ephraim thou art become an harlot, and Israel is defiled.
4 Δεν αφίνουσιν αυτούς αι πράξεις αυτών να επιστρέψωσιν εις τον Θεόν αυτών· διότι το πνεύμα της πορνείας είναι εν μέσω αυτών και δεν εγνώρισαν τον Κύριον.
They will not giue their mindes to turne vnto their God: for the spirit of fornication is in the middes of them, and they haue not knowen the Lord.
5 Και η υπερηφανία του Ισραήλ μαρτυρεί κατά πρόσωπον αυτού· διά τούτο ο Ισραήλ και ο Εφραΐμ θέλουσι πέσει εν τη ανομία αυτών· ο Ιούδας έτι θέλει πέσει μετ' αυτών.
And the pride of Israel doth testifie to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquitie: Iudah also shall fall with them.
6 Μετά των ποιμνίων αυτών και μετά των αγελών αυτών θέλουσιν υπάγει διά να ζητήσωσι τον Κύριον· αλλά δεν θέλουσιν ευρεί· απεμακρύνθη απ' αυτών.
They shall goe with their sheepe, and with their bullockes to seeke the Lord: but they shall not finde him: for he hath withdrawne himselfe from them.
7 Εφέρθησαν απίστως προς τον Κύριον· διότι εγέννησαν τέκνα αλλότρια· τώρα δε εις μην θέλει καταφάγει αυτούς και τας κληρονομίας αυτών.
They haue transgressed against the Lord: for they haue begotte strange children: now shall a moneth deuoure them with their portions.
8 Σαλπίσατε κερατίνην εν Γαβαά, σάλπιγγα εν Ραμά· ηχήσατε δυνατά εν Βαιθ-αυέν· κατόπιν σου, Βενιαμίν.
Blowe ye the trumpet in Gibeah, and the shaume in Ramah: crie out at Beth-auen, after thee, O Beniamin.
9 Ο Εφραΐμ θέλει είσθαι ηρημωμένος εν τη ημέρα του ελέγχου· μεταξύ των φυλών του Ισραήλ εγνωστοποίησα το βεβαίως γενησόμενον·
Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel haue I caused to knowe the trueth.
10 οι άρχοντες Ιούδα έγειναν ως οι μετατοπίζοντες όρια· επ' αυτούς θέλω εκχύσει ως ύδατα την οργήν μου.
The princes of Iudah were like them that remoue the bounde: therefore will I powre out my wrath vpon them like water.
11 Κατεδυναστεύθη ο Εφραΐμ, συνετρίβη εν τη κρίσει διότι εκουσίως υπήγε κατόπιν προστάγματος·
Ephraim is oppressed, and broken in iudgement, because he willingly walked after the commandement.
12 διά τούτο εγώ θέλω είσθαι ως σαράκιον εις τον Εφραΐμ και ως σκώληξ εις τον οίκον Ιούδα.
Therefore wil I be vnto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Iudah as a rottennesse.
13 Και είδεν ο Εφραΐμ την νόσον αυτού και ο Ιούδας το έλκος αυτού, και υπήγεν ο Εφραΐμ προς τον Ασσύριον και απέστειλε προς τον βασιλέα Ιαρείβ· αλλ' ούτος δεν ηδυνήθη να σας ιατρεύση ουδέ να σας απαλλάξη από του έλκους σας.
When Ephraim sawe his sickenes, and Iudah his wound, then went Ephraim vnto Asshur, and sent vnto King Iareb: yet coulde hee not heale you, nor cure you of your wound.
14 Διότι εγώ θέλω είσθαι ως λέων εις τον Εφραΐμ και ως σκύμνος λέοντος εις τον οίκον Ιούδα· εγώ, εγώ θέλω διασπαράξει και αναχωρήσει· θέλω λάβει, και δεν θέλει υπάρχει ο ελευθερών.
For I will be vnto Ephraim as a lyon, and as a lyons whelpe to the house of Iudah: I, euen I will spoyle, and goe away: I will take away, and none shall rescue it.
15 Θέλω υπάγει, θέλω επιστρέψει εις τον τόπον μου, εωσού γνωρίσωσι το έγκλημα αυτών και ζητήσωσι το πρόσωπόν μου· εν τη θλίψει αυτών θέλουσιν ορθρίσει προς εμέ.
I will go, and returne to my place, til they acknowledge their fault, and seeke me: in their affliction they will seeke me diligently.
