Γένεσις 1
1 Εν αρχή εποίησεν ο Θεός τον ουρανόν και την γην.
In beginning he created God the heavens and the earth.
2 Η δε γη ήτο άμορφος και έρημος· και σκότος επί του προσώπου της αβύσσου. Και πνεύμα Θεού εφέρετο επί της επιφανείας των υδάτων.
And the earth was formlessness and emptiness and darkness [was] over [the] surface of [the] deep and [the] spirit of God [was] hovering over [the] surface of the waters.
3 Και είπεν ο Θεός, Γενηθήτω φώς· και έγεινε φώς·
And he said God let it be light and there was light.
4 και είδεν ο Θεός το φως ότι ήτο καλόν· και διεχώρισεν ο Θεός το φως από του σκότους·
And he saw God the light that [it was] good and he separated God between the light and between the darkness.
5 και εκάλεσεν ο Θεός το φως, Ημέραν· το δε σκότος εκάλεσε, Νύκτα. Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα πρώτη.
And he called God - the light day and the darkness he called night and there was evening and there was morning day one.
6 Και είπεν ο Θεός, Γενηθήτω στερέωμα αναμέσον των υδάτων, και ας διαχωρίζη ύδατα από υδάτων.
And he said God let it be a firmament in [the] middle of the waters and let it be separating between waters to waters.
7 Και εποίησεν ο Θεός το στερέωμα, και διεχώρισε τα ύδατα τα υποκάτωθεν του στερεώματος από των υδάτων των επάνωθεν του στερεώματος. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
And he made God the firmament and he separated between the waters which [were] from under to the firmament and between the waters which [were] from the firmament and it was so.
8 Και εκάλεσεν ο Θεός το στερέωμα, Ουρανόν. Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα δευτέρα.
And he called God the firmament heaven and there was evening and there was morning a day second.
9 Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας συναχθώσι τα ύδατα τα υποκάτω του ουρανού εις τόπον ένα, και ας φανή η ξηρά. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
And he said God let them gather the waters from under the heavens to a place one and let it appear the dry ground and it was so.
10 Και εκάλεσεν ο Θεός την ξηράν, γήν· και το σύναγμα των υδάτων εκάλεσε, Θαλάσσας· και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
And he called God - the dry ground earth and [the] collection of the waters he called seas and he saw God that [it was] good.
11 Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας βλαστήση η γη χλωρόν χόρτον, χόρτον κάμνοντα σπόρον, και δένδρον κάρπιμον κάμνον καρπόν κατά το είδος αυτού, του οποίου το σπέρμα να ήναι εν αυτώ επί της γης. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
And he said God let it sprout the earth vegetation plant[s] [which] bears seed seed tree[s] of fruit producing fruit to kind its which seed its [is] in it on the earth and it was so.
12 Και εβλάστησεν η γη χλωρόν χόρτον, χόρτον κάμνοντα σπόρον κατά το είδος αυτού, και δένδρον κάμνον καρπόν, του οποίου το σπέρμα είναι εν αυτώ κατά το είδος αυτού· και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
And brought forth the earth vegetation plant[s] [which] bears seed seed to kind its and tree[s] (producing *LAH(b)*) fruit which seed its [was] in it to kind its and he saw God that [it was] good.
13 Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα τρίτη.
And there was evening and there was morning a day third.
14 Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας γείνωσι φωστήρες εν τω στερεώματι του ουρανού, διά να διαχωρίζωσι την ημέραν από της νυκτός· και ας ήναι διά σημεία και καιρούς και ημέρας και ενιαυτούς·
And he said God let it be luminaries in [the] firmament of the heavens to separate between the day and between the night and they will become signs and appointed times and days and years.
15 και ας ήναι διά φωστήρας εν τω στερεώματι του ουρανού, διά να φέγγωσιν επί της γης. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
And they will become luminaries in [the] firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth and it was so.
16 Και έκαμεν ο Θεός τους δύο φωστήρας τους μεγάλους, τον φωστήρα τον μέγαν διά να εξουσιάζη επί της ημέρας, και τον φωστήρα τον μικρόν διά να εξουσιάζη επί της νυκτός· και τους αστέρας·
And he made God [the] two the luminaries great the luminary great for [the] dominion of the day and the luminary small for [the] dominion of the night and the stars.
17 και έθεσεν αυτούς ο Θεός εν τω στερεώματι του ουρανού, διά να φέγγωσιν επί της γης,
And he set them God in [the] firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth.
18 και να εξουσιάζωσιν επί της ημέρας και επί της νυκτός και να διαχωρίζωσι το φως από του σκότους. Και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
And to rule over the day and over the night and to separate between the light and between the darkness and he saw God that [it was] good.
19 Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα τετάρτη.
And there was evening and there was morning a day fourth.
20 Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας γεννήσωσι τα ύδατα εν αφθονία νηκτά έμψυχα και πετεινά ας πέτωνται επάνωθεν της γης κατά το στερέωμα του ουρανού.
And he said God let them swarm the waters swarming thing[s] creature[s] living and bird[s] let it fly above the earth on [the] surface of [the] firmament of the heavens.
21 Και εποίησεν ο Θεός τα κήτη τα μεγάλα και παν έμψυχον κινούμενον, τα οποία εγέννησαν εν αφθονία τα ύδατα κατά το είδος αυτών, και παν πετεινόν πτερωτόν κατά το είδος αυτού. Και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
And he created God the sea monsters great and every creature living - which creeps which they swarmed the waters to kind their and every bird of wing to kind its and he saw God that [it was] good.
22 Και ευλόγησεν αυτά ο Θεός, λέγων, Αυξάνεσθε και πληθύνεσθε και γεμίσατε τα ύδατα εν ταις θαλάσσαις· και τα πετεινά ας πληθύνωνται επί της γης.
And he blessed them God saying be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas and the bird[s] let it multiply on the earth.
23 Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα πέμπτη.
And there was evening and there was morning a day fifth.
24 Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ας γεννήση η γη ζώα έμψυχα κατά το είδος αυτών, κτήνη και ερπετά και ζώα της γης κατά το είδος αυτών· και έγεινεν ούτω.
And he said God let it produce the earth creature[s] living to kind its livestock and creeping thing[s] and animal[s] of [the] earth to kind its and it was so.
25 Και έκαμεν ο Θεός τα ζώα της γης κατά το είδος αυτών, και τα κτήνη κατά το είδος αυτών, και παν ερπετόν της γης κατά το είδος αυτού. Και είδεν ο Θεός ότι ήτο καλόν.
And he made God [the] animal[s] of the earth to kind its and the livestock to kind its and every creeping thing of the ground to kind its and he saw God that [it was] good.
26 Και είπεν ο θεός, Ας κάμωμεν άνθρωπον κατ' εικόνα ημών, καθ' ομοίωσιν ημών· και ας εξουσιάζη επί των ιχθύων της θαλάσσης και επί των πετεινών του ουρανού και επί των κτηνών και επί πάσης της γης και επί παντός ερπετού, έρποντος επί της γης.
And he said God let us make humankind in image our according to likeness our and they may rule over [the] fish of the sea and over [the] bird[s] of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing which creeps on the earth.
27 Και εποίησεν ο Θεός τον άνθρωπον κατ' εικόνα εαυτού· κατ' εικόνα Θεού εποίησεν αυτόν· άρσεν και θήλυ εποίησεν αυτούς·
And he created God - humankind in own image his in [the] image of God he created it male and female he created them.
28 και ευλόγησεν αυτούς ο Θεός· και είπε προς αυτούς ο Θεός, Αυξάνεσθε και πληθύνεσθε και γεμίσατε την γην και κυριεύσατε αυτήν, και εξουσιάζετε επί των ιχθύων της θαλάσσης και επί των πετεινών του ουρανού και επί παντός ζώου κινουμένου επί της γης.
And he blessed them God and he said to them God be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and rule over [the] fish of the sea and over [the] bird[s] of the heavens and over every animal which creeps on the earth.
29 Και είπεν ο Θεός, Ιδού, σας έδωκα πάντα χόρτον κάμνοντα σπόρον, όστις είναι επί του προσώπου πάσης της γης, και παν δένδρον, το οποίον έχει εν εαυτώ καρπόν δένδρου κάμνοντος σπόρον· ταύτα θέλουσιν είσθαι εις εσάς προς τροφήν·
And he said God here! I give to you every plant - [which] bears seed seed which [is] on [the] surface of all the earth and every tree which in it [is the] fruit of a tree [which] bears seed seed to you will be[long] to food.
30 και εις πάντα τα ζώα της γης και εις πάντα τα πετεινά του ουρανού και εις παν ερπετόν έρπον επί της γης και έχον εν εαυτώ ψυχήν ζώσαν, έδωκα πάντα χλωρόν χόρτον εις τροφήν. Και έγεινεν ούτω.
And to every animal of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to every - creeping [thing] on the earth which [is] in it life living all greenery of plant[s] to food and it was so.
31 Και είδεν ο Θεός πάντα όσα εποίησε· και ιδού, ήσαν καλά λίαν. Και έγεινεν εσπέρα και έγεινε πρωΐ, ημέρα έκτη.
And he saw God all that he had made and there! [it was] good very and there was evening and there was morning [the] day sixth.
