Γένεσις 14
1 Επί των ημερών δε του Αμαρφέλ βασιλέως Σενναάρ, του Αριώχ βασιλέως Ελλασάρ, του Χοδολλογομόρ βασιλέως Ελάμ, και του Θαργάλ βασιλέως εθνών,
And it cometh to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goyim,
2 έκαμον αυτοί πόλεμον μετά του Βερά βασιλέως Σοδόμων, και του Βαρσά βασιλέως Γομόρρων, του Σενναάβ βασιλέως Αδαμά, και του Σεμοβόρ βασιλέως Σεβωείμ, και του βασιλέως της Βελά· αύτη είναι η Σηγώρ.
they have made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which [is] Zoar.
3 Πάντες ούτοι ηνώθησαν ομού εν τη κοιλάδι Σιδδίμ ήτις είναι η αλμυρά θάλασσα.
All these have been joined together unto the valley of Siddim, which [is] the Salt Sea;
4 Δώδεκα έτη εδούλευον εις τον Χοδολλογομόρ· εν δε τω δεκάτω τρίτω απεστάτησαν.
twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5 Και εν τω δεκάτω τετάρτω έτει ήλθεν ο Χοδολλογομόρ και οι βασιλείς οι μετ' αυτού, και επάταξαν τους Ραφαείμ εν Ασταρώθ-καρναΐμ, και τους Ζουζείμ εν Αμ, και τους Εμμαίους εν Σαυή-κιριαθαΐμ,
And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings who [are] with him, and they smite the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6 και τους Χορραίους εν τω όρει αυτών Σηείρ έως της πεδιάδος Φαράν, ήτις είναι εν τη ερήμω.
and the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-Paran, which [is] by the wilderness;
7 Επέστρεψαν δε και ήλθον εις την Εν-μισπάτ ήτις είναι η Κάδης· και επάταξαν πάντα τον τόπον του Αμαλήκ, και τους Αμορραίους τους κατοικούντας εν Ασασών-θαμάρ.
and they turn back and come in unto En-Mishpat, which [is] Kadesh, and smite the whole field of the Amalekite, and also the Amorite who is dwelling in Hazezon-Tamar.
8 Εξήλθε δε ο βασιλεύς των Σοδόμων, και ο βασιλεύς των Γομόρρων, και ο βασιλεύς της Αδαμά, και ο βασιλεύς των Σεβωείμ, και ο βασιλεύς της Βελά, ήτις είναι η Σηγώρ· και συνεκρότησαν μάχην μετ' αυτών εν τη κοιλάδι Σιδδίμ,
And the king of Sodom goeth out, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which [is] Zoar; and they set the battle in array with them in the valley of Siddim,
9 μετά του Χοδολλογομόρ βασιλέως Ελάμ, και του Θαργάλ βασιλέως εθνών, και του Αμραφέλ βασιλέως Σενναάρ, και του Αριώχ βασιλέως Ελλασάρ· τέσσαρες βασιλείς προς πέντε.
with Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goyim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with the five.
10 Η δε κοιλάς Σιδδίμ ήτο πλήρης φρεάτων ασφάλτου· ετράπησαν δε εις φυγήν οι βασιλείς των Σοδόμων και των Γομόρρων και έπεσον εκεί· οι δε εναπολειφθέντες έφυγον εις το όρος.
And the valley of Siddim [is] full of bitumen-pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah flee, and fall there, and those left have fled to the mountain.
11 Και έλαβον πάντα τα υπάρχοντα των Σοδόμων και των Γομόρρων και πάσαν αυτών την ζωοτροφίαν, και ανεχώρησαν.
And they take the whole substance of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the whole of their food, and go away;
12 Έλαβον δε και τον Λωτ υιόν του αδελφού του Άβραμ, όστις κατώκει εν Σοδόμοις, και τα υπάρχοντα αυτού, και ανεχώρησαν.
and they take Lot, Abram's brother's son (seeing he is dwelling in Sodom), and his substance, and go away.
13 Υπήγε δε τις εκ των διασωθέντων και απήγγειλε τούτο προς τον Άβραμ τον Εβραίον, όστις κατώκει πλησίον των δρυών Μαμβρή του Αμορραίου, αδελφού του Εσχώλ, και αδελφού του Ανήρ, οίτινες ήσαν σύμμαχοι του Άβραμ.
And one who is escaping cometh and declareth to Abram the Hebrew, and he is dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, and they [are] Abram's allies.
14 Ακούσας δε ο Άβραμ ότι ηχμαλωτίσθη ο αδελφός αυτού, εφώπλισε τριακοσίους δεκαοκτώ εκ των δούλων αυτού, των γεννηθέντων εν τη οικία αυτού, και κατεδίωξεν οπίσω αυτών έως Δαν.
And Abram heareth that his brother hath been taken captive, and he draweth out his trained domestics, three hundred and eighteen, and pursueth unto Dan.
15 Και διαιρέσας τους εαυτού ώρμησε κατ' αυτών την νύκτα, αυτός και οι δούλοι αυτού, και επάταξεν αυτούς, και κατεδίωξεν αυτούς έως Χοβά ήτις είναι κατά τα αριστερά της Δαμασκού.
And he divideth himself against them by night, he and his servants, and smiteth them, and pursueth them unto Hobah, which [is] at the left of Damascus;
16 Και επανέφερε πάντα τα υπάρχοντα και έτι επανέφερε Λωτ τον αδελφόν αυτού και τα υπάρχοντα αυτού, έτι δε και τας γυναίκας και τον λαόν.
and he bringeth back the whole of the substance, and also Lot his brother and his substance hath he brought back, and also the women and the people.
17 Εξήλθε δε ο βασιλεύς των Σοδόμων εις συνάντησιν αυτού, αφού επέστρεψεν από της καταστροφής του Χοδολλογομόρ και των βασιλέων των μετ' αυτού, εν τη κοιλάδι Σαυή ήτις είναι η κοιλάς του βασιλέως.
And the king of Sodom goeth out to meet him (after his turning back from the smiting of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings who [are] with him), unto the valley of Shaveh, which [is] the king's valley.
18 Και ο Μελχισεδέκ βασιλεύς Σαλήμ έφερεν έξω άρτον και οίνον· ήτο δε ιερεύς του Θεού του Υψίστου.
And Melchizedek king of Salem hath brought out bread and wine, and he [is] priest of God Most High;
19 Και ευλόγησεν αυτόν και είπεν, Ευλογημένος ο Άβραμ παρά του Θεού του Υψίστου, όστις έκτισε τον ουρανόν και την γήν·
and he blesseth him, and saith, 'Blessed [is] Abram to God Most High, possessing heaven and earth;
20 και ευλογητός ο Θεός ο Ύψιστος όστις παρέδωκε τους εχθρούς σου εις την χείρα σου. Και Άβραμ έδωκεν εις αυτόν δέκατον από πάντων.
and blessed [is] God Most High, who hath delivered thine adversaries into thy hand;' and he giveth to him a tenth of all.
21 Και είπεν ο βασιλεύς των Σοδόμων προς τον Άβραμ, Δος μοι τους ανθρώπους, τα δε υπάρχοντα λάβε εις σεαυτόν.
And the king of Sodom saith unto Abram, 'Give to me the persons, and the substance take to thyself,'
22 Είπε δε ο Άβραμ προς τον βασιλέα των Σοδόμων, Εγώ ύψωσα την χείρα μου προς Κύριον, τον Θεόν τον Ύψιστον, όστις έκτισε τον ουρανόν και την γην,
and Abram saith unto the king of Sodom, 'I have lifted up my hand unto Jehovah, God Most High, possessing heaven and earth —
23 ότι δεν θέλω λάβει από πάντων των ιδικών σου από κλωστής έως λωρίου υποδήματος, διά να μη είπης, Εγώ επλούτισα τον Αβραμ·
from a thread even unto a shoe-latchet I take not of anything which thou hast, that thou say not, I — I have made Abram rich;
24 εκτός μόνον εκείνου το οποίον έφαγον οι νέοι, και της μερίδος των ανθρώπων των ελθόντων μετ' εμού, του Ανήρ του Εσχώλ και του Μαμβρή, ούτοι ας λάβωσι την μερίδα αυτών.
save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who have gone with me — Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre — they take their portion.'
