Γένεσις 10

1 Και αύται είναι αι γενεαλογίαι των υιών του Νώε, Σημ, Χαμ και Ιάφεθ· και εγεννήθησαν εις αυτούς υιοί μετά τον κατακλυσμόν.

And these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and sons are born to them after the flood.

2 Οι υιοί του Ιάφεθ ήσαν Γομέρ, και Μαγώγ, και Μαδαΐ, και Ιαυάν, και Θουβάλ, και Μεσέχ, και Θειράς.

Sons of Japheth [are] Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

3 Και οι υιοί του Γομέρ, Ασχενάζ, και Ριφάθ, και Θωγαρμά.

And sons of Gomer [are] Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

4 Και οι υιοί του Ιαυάν, Ελεισά, και Θαρσείς, Κιττείμ, και Δωδανείμ.

And sons of Javan [are] Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

5 Εκ τούτων εμοιράσθησαν αι νήσοι των εθνών εις τους τόπους αυτών· εκάστου κατά την γλώσσαν αυτού, κατά τας φυλάς αυτών, εις τα έθνη αυτών.

By these the islands of the nations have been parted in their lands, each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.

6 Και οι υιοί του Χαμ, Χούς, και Μισραΐμ, και Φούθ, και Χαναάν.

And sons of Ham [are] Cush, and Mitzraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

7 Και οι υιοί του Χούς, Σεβά, και Αβιλά, και Σαβθά, και Ρααμά, και Σαβθεκά· και οι υιοί του Ρααμά, Σεβά, και Δαιδάν.

And sons of Cush [are] Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah; and sons of Raamah [are] Sheba and Dedan.

8 Και ο Χούς εγέννησε τον Νεβρώδ· ούτος ήρχισε να ήναι ισχυρός επί της γής·

And Cush has begotten Nimrod;

9 αυτός ήτο ισχυρός κυνηγός ενώπιον του Κυρίου· διά τούτο λέγεται, Ως Νεβρώδ, ισχυρός κυνηγός ενώπιον του Κυρίου·

he has begun to be a hero in the land; he has been a hero in hunting before YHWH; therefore it is said, “As Nimrod the hero [in] hunting before YHWH.”

10 και η αρχή της βασιλείας αυτού εστάθη Βαβυλών, και Ερέχ, και Αχάδ, και Χαλνέ, εν τη γη Σενναάρ.

And the first part of his kingdom is Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar;

11 Εκ της γης εκείνης εξήλθεν ο Ασσούρ, και ωκοδόμησε την Νινευή, και την πόλιν Ρεχωβώθ, και την Χαλάχ,

from that land he has gone out to Asshur, and builds Nineveh, even the broad places of the city, and Calah,

12 και την Ρεσέν μεταξύ της Νινευή και της Χαλάχ· αύτη είναι η πόλις η μεγάλη.

and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; it [is] the great city.

13 Και ο Μισραΐμ εγέννησε τους Λουδείμ, και τους Αναμείμ, και τους Λεαβείμ, και τους Ναφθουχείμ,

And Mitzraim has begotten the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,

14 και τους Πατρουσείμ, και τους Χασλουχείμ, εκ των οποίων εξήλθον οι Φιλισταίοι, και τους Χαφθορείμ.

and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from where have come out Philistim), and the Caphtorim.

15 Και ο Χαναάν εγέννησε τον Σιδώνα, πρωτότοκον αυτού, και τον Χετταίον,

And Canaan has begotten Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,

16 και τον Ιεβουσαίον, και τον Αμορραίον, και τον Γεργεσαίον,

and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

17 και τον Ευαίον, και τον Αρουχαίον, και τον Ασενναίον,

and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

18 και τον Αρβάδιον, και τον Σαμαραίον, και τον Αμαθαίον. Και μετά τούτο διεσπάρησαν αι φυλαί των Χαναναίων.

and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanite have been scattered.

19 Και ήσαν τα όρια των Χαναναίων από Σιδώνος, καθώς υπάγει τις εις Γέραρα, έως Γάζης, και καθώς υπάγει τις εις Σόδομα και Γόμορρα, και Αδαμά, και Σεβωείμ, έως Λασά.

And the border of the Canaanite is from Sidon, [in] your coming toward Gerar, to Gaza; [in] your coming toward Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, to Lasha.

20 Ούτοι είναι οι υιοί του Χαμ, κατά τας φυλάς αυτών, κατά τας γλώσσας αυτών, εις τους τόπους αυτών, εις τα έθνη αυτών.

These [are] sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.

21 Και εις τον Σημ, τον πατέρα πάντων των υιών του Έβερ, τον αδελφόν Ιάφεθ του μεγαλητέρου, εγεννήθησαν και εις αυτόν υιοί.

As for Shem, father of all sons of Eber, the older brother of Japheth, he has also begotten.

22 Υιοί του Σημ ήσαν Ελάμ, και Ασσούρ, και Αρφαξάδ, και Λούδ, και Αράμ.

Sons of Shem [are] Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.

23 Και οι υιοί του Αράμ, Ουζ, και Ουλ, και Γεθέρ, και Μας.

And sons of Aram [are] Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.

24 Και ο Αρφαξάδ εγέννησε τον Σαλά· και ο Σαλά εγέννησε τον Έβερ.

And Arphaxad has begotten Salah, and Salah has begotten Eber.

25 Και εις τον Έβερ εγεννήθησαν δύο υιοί· το όνομα του ενός, Φαλέγ· διότι εν ταις ημέραις αυτού διεμερίσθη η γή· και το όνομα του αδελφού αυτού, Ιοκτάν.

And two sons have been born to Eber; the name of the first [is] Peleg (for in his days the earth has been divided), and his brother’s name [is] Joktan.

26 Και ο Ιοκτάν εγέννησε τον Αλμωδάδ, και τον Σαλέφ, και τον Ασαρμαβέθ, και τον Ιαράχ,

And Joktan has begotten Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

27 και τον Αδωράμ, και τον Ουζάλ, και τον Δικλά,

and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

28 και τον Οβάλ, και τον Αβιμαήλ, και τον Σεβά,

and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

29 και τον Οφείρ, και τον Αβιλά, και τον Ιωβάβ· πάντες ούτοι ήσαν υιοί του Ιοκτάν.

and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan;

30 Και η κατοικία αυτών ήτο από Μησά, καθώς υπάγει τις εις Σεφαρά, όρος της Ανατολής.

and their dwelling is from Mesha, [in] your coming toward Sephar, a mountain of the east.

31 Ούτοι είναι οι υιοί του Σημ, κατά τας φυλάς αυτών, κατά τας γλώσσας αυτών, εις τους τόπους αυτών, κατά τα έθνη αυτών.

These [are] sons of Shem, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, by their nations.

32 Αύται είναι αι φυλαί των υιών του Νώε, κατά τας γενεάς αυτών, εις τα έθνη αυτών· και εκ τούτων διεσπάρησαν τα έθνη επί της γης μετά τον κατακλυσμόν.

These [are] families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, in their nations, and by these the nations have been parted in the earth after the flood.
