Ἰεζεκιήλ 30

1 Και έγεινε λόγος Κυρίου προς εμέ, λέγων,

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 Υιέ ανθρώπου, προφήτευσον και ειπέ, Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός. Ολολύζετε, Ουαί, διά την ημέραν.

Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Wail ye, Woe unto the day!

3 Διότι πλησίον είναι η ημέρα, ναι, η ημέρα του Κυρίου είναι πλησίον, ημέρα νεφώδης· ο καιρός των εθνών θέλει είσθαι.

For nigh is the day, yea nigh is the day of the Lord; a cloudy day; the time of the nations' [misfortune] shall it be.

4 Και η μάχαιρα θέλει ελθεί, επί την Αίγυπτον και μέγας τρόμος θέλει είσθαι εν τη Αιθιοπία, όταν οι τετραυματισμένοι πέσωσιν εν Αιγύπτω, και θέλουσι λάβει το πλήθος αυτής και θέλουσι καταστρέψει τα θεμέλια αυτής.

And the sword shall come into Egypt, and there shall be trembling in Ethiopia, when the slain fall in Egypt, and when they take away its multitude, and its foundations shall be broken down.

5 Αιθίοπες και Λίβυες και Λύδιοι και πάντες οι σύμμικτοι λαοί, και ο Χούβ και οι υιοί της συμμάχου γης, θέλουσι πέσει μετ' αυτών εν μαχαίρα.

Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all the confederates, and Cub, and all the men of the leagued land, shall fall with them by the sword.

6 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος· Θέλουσι πέσει και οι υποστηρίζοντες την Αίγυπτον, και η υπερηφανία της δυνάμεως αυτής θέλει καταβληθή· από Μιγδώλ μέχρι Συήνης θέλουσι πέσει εν αυτή διά μαχαίρας, λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός.

Thus hath said the Lord, Yea, there shall fall those that uphold Egypt; and there shall come down the pride of her strength: from Migdol to Seveneh shall they fall in her by the sword, saith the Lord Eternal.

7 Και θέλουσιν αφανισθή εν μέσω των ηφανισμένων τόπων, και αι πόλεις αυτής θέλουσιν είσθαι εν μέσω των ηρημωμένων πόλεων.

And they shall be made desolate in the midst of the desolate countries, and its cities shall be counted in the midst of the cities that have been laid in ruins.

8 Και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος, όταν βάλω πυρ εις την Αίγυπτον και συντριφθώσι πάντες οι βοηθούντες αυτήν.

And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I set fire to Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be broken.

9 Εν εκείνη τη ημέρα θέλουσιν εξέλθει απ' εμού μηνυταί εν πλοίοις, διά να εκπλήξωσι τους αμερίμνους Αιθίοπας· και τρόμος μέγας θέλει επέλθει επ' αυτούς, καθώς εν τη ημέρα της Αιγύπτου· διότι, ιδού, έρχεται.

On that day shall messengers go forth from my presence in ships to terrify the secure Ethiopians, and there shall be trembling among them, as on the day of Egypt; for, lo, it cometh.

10 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Και θέλω απολέσει το πλήθος της Αιγύπτου διά χειρός του Ναβουχοδονόσορ βασιλέως της Βαβυλώνος.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will also cause the multitude of Egypt to cease through the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon.

11 Αυτός και ο λαός αυτού μετ' αυτού, οι τρομερώτεροι των εθνών, θέλουσι φερθή διά να αφανίσωσι την γήν· και θέλουσιν εκσπάσει τας ρομφαίας αυτών κατά της Αιγύπτου και γεμίσει την γην από τετραυματισμένων.

He and his people with him, the fiercest of nations, shall be brought to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and they shall fill the land with the slain.

12 Και θέλω ξηράνει τους ποταμούς και παραδώσει την γην εις χείρας κακών, και θέλω αφανίσει την γην και το πλήρωμα αυτής διά χειρός των ξένων· εγώ ο Κύριος ελάλησα.

And I will render the streams dry, and sell the land into the hand of evil men; and I will make the land desolate, and all that filleth it, by the hand of strangers: I the Lord have spoken it.

13 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Και θέλω καταστρέψει τα ξόανα και εξαλείψει τα είδωλα από Νωφ, και δεν θέλει υπάρχει πλέον άρχων εκ της γης της Αιγύπτου, και θέλω εμβάλει φόβον εις την γην της Αιγύπτου.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause false gods to cease out of Noph; and a prince out of the land of Egypt shall there not be any more: and I will lay fear on the land of Egypt.

14 Και θέλω αφανίσει την Παθρώς και βάλει πυρ εις την Τάνιν και εκτελέσει κρίσεις εν Νω.

And I will make Pathros desolate, and set fire to Zo'an; and I will execute judgments in No.

15 Και θέλω εκχέει τον θυμόν μου επί Σιν την ισχύν της Αιγύπτου, και θέλω εκκόψει το πλήθος της Νω.

And I will pour my fury over Sin, the stronghold of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

16 Και θέλω βάλει πυρ εις την Αίγυπτον· η Σιν θέλει λάβει μέγαν τρόμον και η Νω θέλει διασπαραχθή και η Νωφ θέλει είσθαι καθ' ημέραν εν αγωνία.

And I will set fire to Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be broken in, and [over] Noph shall the besiegers [prevail] by broad day.

17 Οι νεανίσκοι της Αβήν και της Πι-βεσέθ θέλουσι πέσει εν μαχαίρα, και αύται θέλουσιν υπάγει εις αιχμαλωσίαν.

The young men of Aven and of Pi-besseth shall fall by the sword; and they themselves shall go into captivity.

18 Και εν Τάφνης η ημέρα θέλει συσκοτάσει, όταν συντρίψω εκεί τα σκήπτρα της Αιγύπτου· και η έπαρσις της δυνάμεως αυτής θέλει παύσει εν αυτή· ταύτην δε, νέφος θέλει σκεπάσει αυτήν, και αι θυγατέρες αυτής θέλουσιν υπάγει εις αιχμαλωσίαν.

And at Thechaphneches the day shall be darkened, when I break there the yoke-bars of Egypt, and the pride of her strength ceaseth therein: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

19 Και θέλω εκτελέσει κρίσεις επί την Αίγυπτον· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

Thus will I execute judgments on Egypt: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

20 Και εν τω ενδεκάτω έτει, τω πρώτω μηνί, τη εβδόμη του μηνός, έγεινε λόγος Κυρίου προς εμέ λέγων,

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

21 Υιέ ανθρώπου, συνέθλασα τον βραχίονα του Φαραώ βασιλέως της Αιγύπτου· και ιδού, δεν θέλει επιδεθή προς θεραπείαν, ώστε να περιτυλίξωσιν αυτόν με επιδέσματα διά να δοθή εις αυτόν δύναμις να κρατή μάχαιραν.

Son of man, the arm of Pharaoh the king of Egypt have I broken; and lo, it shall not be bound up to apply remedies, to put on a bandage to bind it up, to make it strong that it may grasp the sword.

22 Διά τούτο ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, εγώ είμαι εναντίον του Φαραώ βασιλέως της Αιγύπτου και θέλω συνθλάσει τους βραχίονας αυτού, τον δυνατόν και τον συντεθλασμένον· και θέλω κάμει την μάχαιραν να εκπέση από της χειρός αυτού.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and will break his arms, both the strong, and that which was already broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

23 Και θέλω διασπείρει τους Αιγυπτίους μεταξύ των εθνών και διασκορπίσει αυτούς εις τους τόπους.

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and I will disperse them through the countries.

24 Και θέλω ενισχύσει τους βραχίονας του βασιλέως της Βαβυλώνος και θέλω δώσει την ρομφαίαν μου εις την χείρα αυτού, τους δε βραχίονας του Φαραώ θέλω συνθλάσει και θέλει στενάξει έμπροσθεν αυτού με στεναγμούς τετραυματισμένου.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and will put my sword in his hand; but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he shall groan, with the groanings of a deadly wounded man before him.

25 Τους βραχίονας όμως του βασιλέως της Βαβυλώνος θέλω ενισχύσει, οι δε βραχίονες του Φαραώ θέλουσι πέσει· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος, όταν δώσω την ρομφαίαν μου εις την χείρα του βασιλέως της Βαβυλώνος· και θέλει εκτείνει αυτήν επί την γην της Αιγύπτου.

Yea I will make strong the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I place my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, that he may stretch it out over the land of Egypt.

26 Και θέλω διασπείρει τους Αιγυπτίους μεταξύ των εθνών και διασκορπίσει αυτούς εις τους τόπους· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
