Ἰεζεκιήλ 25

1 Και έγεινε λόγος Κυρίου προς εμέ, λέγων,

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

2 Υιέ ανθρώπου, στήριξον το πρόσωπόν σου επί τους υιούς Αμμών και προφήτευσον κατ' αυτών·

“Son of man, set your face against the sons of Ammon, and you shall prophesy about them.

3 και ειπέ προς τους υιούς Αμμών, Ακούσατε τον λόγον Κυρίου του Θεού· ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Επειδή επιλέγεις εις τα άγιά μου, Εύγε, διότι εβεβηλώθησαν, και εις την γην του Ισραήλ, διότι ηφανίσθη, και εις τον οίκον Ιούδα, διότι υπήγαν εις αιχμαλωσίαν,

And you shall say to the sons of Ammon: Listen to the word of the Lord God: Thus says the Lord God: Because you have said, ‘Well, well!’ over my sanctuary, when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel, when it was desolated, and over the house of Judah, when they were led into captivity,

4 διά τούτο, ιδού, θέλω σε παραδώσει προς κληρονομίαν εις τους υιούς της ανατολής, και θέλουσι θέσει τας επαύλεις αυτών εν σοι και θέλουσι κάμει τας κατασκηνώσεις αυτών εν σοί· ούτοι θέλουσι φάγει τους καρπούς σου και ούτοι θέλουσι πίει το γάλα σου.

therefore, I will deliver you to the sons of the East, as an inheritance. And they will arrange their fences within you, and they will place their tents within you. They will eat your crops, and they will drink your milk.

5 Και θέλω καταστήσει την Ραββά σταύλον καμήλων και την γην των υιών Αμμών μάνδραν προβάτων· και θέλετε γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

And I will make Rabbah into the habitation of camels, and the sons of Ammon into the resting place of cattle. And you shall know that I am the Lord.

6 Διότι ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Επειδή επεκρότησας χείρας και εκτύπησας με τον πόδα και εν όλη τη περιφρονήσει της καρδίας σου εχάρης κατά της γης Ισραήλ,

For thus says the Lord God: Because you have clapped your hands and stomped your foot, and have rejoiced with all your heart against the land of Israel,

7 διά τούτο, ιδού, θέλω εκτείνει την χείρα μου επί σε και θέλω σε παραδώσει εις διαρπαγήν των εθνών και θέλω σε εκκόψει από των λαών και σε εξαφανίσει από των τόπων· θέλω σε εξολοθρεύσει· και θέλεις γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

therefore, behold, I will extend my hand over you, and I will deliver you as a spoil of the Gentiles. And I will destroy you from the peoples, and I will perish you from the lands, and I will crush you. And you shall know that I am the Lord.

8 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Επειδή ο Μωάβ και ο Σηείρ λέγουσιν, Ιδού, ο οίκος Ιούδα είναι ως πάντα τα έθνη·

Thus says the Lord God: Because Moab and Seir have said, ‘Behold, the house of Judah is like all the Gentiles!’

9 διά τούτο, ιδού, θέλω ανοίξει την πλευράν του Μωάβ από των πόλεων, από των πόλεων αυτού, από των άκρων αυτού, την δόξαν της γης, την Βαιθ-ιεσιμώθ, Βάαλ-μεών και Κιριαθαΐμ,

therefore, behold, I will open the shoulder of Moab from the cities, from his cities, I say, and from his borders, the famous cities of the land of Beth-Jesimoth, and Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,

10 εις τους υιούς της ανατολής, κατά των υιών Αμμών, και θέλω παραδώσει αυτήν εις κληρονομίαν, διά να μη μνημονεύωνται οι υιοί Αμμών μεταξύ των εθνών.

with the sons of Ammon, to the sons of the East, and I will give it to them as an inheritance, so that there may no longer be a remembrance of the sons of Ammon among the Gentiles.

11 Και θέλω εκτελέσει κρίσεις επί τον Μωάβ· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

And I will execute judgments in Moab. And they shall know that I am the Lord.

12 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Επειδή ο Εδώμ έπραξεν εκδικητικώς εις τον οίκον Ιούδα και έβρισε βαρέως και εξεδικήθη εναντίον αυτών,

Thus says the Lord God: Because Idumea has taken vengeance, so as to vindicate herself against the sons of Judah, and has sinned grievously, and has sought revenge against them,

13 διά τούτο ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· θέλω λοιπόν εκτείνει την χείρα μου επί τον Εδώμ, και θέλω εκκόψει απ' αυτού άνθρωπον και κτήνος και θέλω εξαφανίσει αυτόν από Θαιμάν, και θέλουσι πέσει εν ρομφαία έως Δαιδάν.

therefore, thus says the Lord God: I will extend my hand over Idumea, and I will take from it both man and beast, and I will make it desolate from the south. And those who are in Dedan will fall by the sword.

14 Και θέλω ενεργήσει την εκδίκησίν μου επί τον Εδώμ διά χειρός τον λαού μου Ισραήλ· και θέλουσι κάμει εις τον Εδώμ κατά τον θυμόν μου και κατά την οργήν μου· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει την εκδίκησίν μου, λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός.

And I will issue my vengeance upon Idumea, by the hand of my people, Israel. And they shall act in Idumea in accord with my wrath and my fury. And they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord God.

15 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Επειδή οι Φιλισταίοι εφέρθησαν εκδικητικώς και έκαμον εκδίκησιν περιφρονούντες εκ ψυχής, ώστε να φέρωσιν όλεθρον διά παλαιόν μίσος,

Thus says the Lord God: Because the Philistines have taken vengeance, and have revenged themselves with all their soul, destroying, and fulfilling ancient hostilities,

16 διά τούτο ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, εγώ θέλω εκτείνει την χείρα μου επί τους Φιλισταίους και θέλω εκκόψει τους Χερεθαίους και εξαφανίσει το υπόλοιπον των λιμένων της θαλάσσης·

because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will extend my hand over the Philistines, and I will destroy those who destroy, and I will perish the remnant of the maritime regions.

17 και θέλω κάμει επ' αυτούς μεγάλην εκδίκησιν εν ελεγμοίς θυμού· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος, όταν εκτελέσω την εκδίκησίν μου επ' αυτούς.

And I will execute great vengeance against them, reproving them in fury. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will send my vengeance upon them.”
