Δανιήλ 12

1 Και εν τω καιρώ εκείνω θέλει εγερθή Μιχαήλ, ο άρχων ο μέγας, ο ιστάμενος υπέρ των υιών του λαού σου· και θέλει είσθαι καιρός θλίψεως, οποία ποτέ δεν έγεινεν αφού υπήρξεν έθνος, μέχρις εκείνου του καιρού· και εν τω καιρώ εκείνω θέλει διασωθή ο λαός σου, πας όστις ευρεθή γεγραμμένος εν τω βιβλίω.

And at that time shall Michael stand vp, ye great prince, which standeth for ye children of thy people, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as neuer was since there began to be a nation vnto that same time: and at that time thy people shall be deliuered, euery one that shall be foud written in ye boke.

2 Και πολλοί εκ των κοιμωμένων εν τω χώματι της γης θέλουσιν εξεγερθή, οι μεν εις αιώνιον ζωήν, οι δε εις ονειδισμόν και εις καταισχύνην αιώνιον.

And many of them that sleepe in the dust of the earth, shall awake, some to euerlasting life, and some to shame and perpetuall contempt.

3 Και οι συνετοί θέλουσιν εκλάμψει ως η λαμπρότης του στερεώματος· και οι επιστρέφοντες πολλούς εις δικαιοσύνην ως οι αστέρες, εις τους αιώνας των αιώνων.

And they that be wise, shall shine, as ye brightnes of the firmament: and they that turne many to righteousnes, shall shine as the starres, for euer and euer.

4 Και συ, Δανιήλ, έγκλεισον τους λόγους και σφράγισον το βιβλίον, έως του εσχάτου καιρού· τότε πολλοί θέλουσι περιτρέχει και η γνώσις θέλει πληθυνθή.

But thou, O Daniel, shut vp the words, and seale the boke til the end of the time: many shall run to and from, and knowledge shall be increased.

5 Και εγώ ο Δανιήλ εθεώρησα και ιδού, ίσταντο δύο άλλοι, εις εντεύθεν επί του χείλους του ποταμού και εις εκείθεν επί του χείλους του ποταμού.

Then I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, ye one on this side of ye brinke of ye riuer, and the other on that side of ye brinke of the riuer.

6 Και είπεν ο εις προς τον άνδρα τον ενδεδυμένον λινά, όστις ήτο επάνωθεν των υδάτων του ποταμού, Έως πότε θέλει είσθαι το τέλος των θαυμασίων τούτων;

And one saide vnto the man clothed in linen, which was vpon ye waters of the riuer, When shalbe the ende of these wonders?

7 Και ήκουσα τον άνδρα τον ενδεδυμένον λινά, όστις ήτο επάνωθεν των υδάτων του ποταμού, ότε ύψωσε την δεξιάν αυτού και την αριστεράν αυτού εις τον ουρανόν και ώμοσεν εις τον ζώντα εις τον αιώνα, ότι θέλει είσθαι εις καιρόν, καιρούς και ήμισυ καιρού· και όταν συντελεσθή ο διασκορπισμός της δυνάμεως του αγίου λαού, πάντα ταύτα θέλουσιν εκπληρωθή.

And I heard ye man clothed in line which was vpon the waters of the riuer, when he helde vp his right hand, and his left hand vnto heauen, and sware by him that liueth for euer, that it shall tarie for a time, two times and an halfe: and when he shall haue accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

8 Και εγώ ήκουσα, αλλά δεν ενόησα· τότε είπον, Κύριέ μου, ποίον το τέλος τούτων;

The I heard it, but I vnderstood it not: the said I, O my Lord, what shalbe ye end of these things?

9 Και είπε, Ύπαγε, Δανιήλ· διότι οι λόγοι είναι κεκλεισμένοι και εσφραγισμένοι έως του εσχάτου καιρού.

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for ye words are closed vp, and sealed, till the ende of the time.

10 Πολλοί θέλουσι καθαρισθή και λευκανθή και δοκιμασθή· και οι ασεβείς θέλουσιν ασεβεί· και ουδείς εκ των ασεβών θέλει νοήσει· αλλ' οι συνετοί θέλουσι νοήσει.

Many shalbe purified, made white, and tried: but the wicked shall doe wickedly, and none of the wicked shall haue vnderstanding: but the wise shall vnderstand.

11 Και από του καιρού, καθ' ον η παντοτεινή θυσία αφαιρεθή και το βδέλυγμα της ερημώσεως στηθή, θέλουσιν είσθαι ημέραι χίλιαι διακόσιαι και ενενήκοντα.

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shalbe take away and the abominable desolatio set vp, there shalbe a thousand, two hundreth and ninetie daies.

12 Μακάριος όστις υπομείνη και φθάση εις ημέρας χιλίας τριακοσίας και τριάκοντα πέντε.

Blessed is he that waiteth and commeth to the thousand, three hundreth and fiue and thirtie daies.

13 Αλλά συ ύπαγε, έως του τέλους· και θέλεις αναπαυθή και θέλεις σταθή εν τω κλήρω σου εις το τέλος των ημερών.

But go thou thy way til the end be: for thou shalt rest and stand vp in thy lot, at the end of ye daies.
