Προς Κορινθιους Α΄ 5
1 Γενικώς ακούεται ότι είναι μεταξύ σας πορνεία, και τοιαύτη πορνεία, ήτις ουδέ μεταξύ των εθνών ονομάζεται, ώστε να έχη τις την γυναίκα του πατρός αυτού.
It is commonly reported that there is lewdness among you, and such lewdness as is not named even amongst the heathens, that one should have his father's wife.
2 Και σεις είσθε πεφυσιωμένοι, και δεν επενθήσατε μάλλον, διά να εκβληθή εκ μέσου υμών ο πράξας το έργον τούτο.
And are ye puffed up, and have not rather grieved? that he who hath committed this fact might be expelled from among you?
3 Διότι εγώ ως απών κατά το σώμα, παρών όμως κατά το πνεύμα, έκρινα ήδη ως παρών τον ούτω πράξαντα τούτο,
For I indeed, absent in body, but present in spirit, have already, as if I were present, judged him who hath wrought this wickedness: in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 εν τω ονόματι του Κυρίου ημών Ιησού Χριστού αφού συναχθήτε σεις και το εμόν πνεύμα με την δύναμιν του Κυρίου ημών Ιησού Χριστού
when ye are assembled together with my spirit, by the power, I say,
5 να παραδώσητε τον τοιούτον εις τον Σατανάν προς όλεθρον της σαρκός, διά να σωθή το πνεύμα αυτού εν τη ημέρα του Κυρίου Ιησού.
of our Lord Jesus Christ, to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Your boasting is not good.
6 Δεν είναι καλόν το καύχημά σας. Δεν εξεύρετε ότι ολίγη ζύμη κάμνει όλον το φύραμα ένζυμον;
Do ye not know that a little leaven leaveneth the whole mass?
7 Καθαρίσθητε λοιπόν από της παλαιάς ζύμης, διά να ήσθε νέον φύραμα, καθώς είσθε άζυμοι. Διότι το πάσχα ημών εθυσιάσθη υπέρ ημών, ο Χριστός·
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new mass, without leaven. For our paschal lamb, even Christ, was slain for us.
8 ώστε ας εορτάζωμεν ουχί με ζύμην παλαιάν, ουδέ με ζύμην κακίας και πονηρίας, αλλά με άζυμα ειλικρινείας και αληθείας.
Wherefore let us keep the feast, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavening of sincerity and truth.
9 Σας έγραψα εν τη επιστολή να μη συναναστρέφησθε με πόρνους,
I wrote to you in an epistle, not to associate with whoremongers:
10 και ουχί διόλου με τους πόρνους του κόσμου τούτου ή με τους πλεονέκτας ή άρπαγας ή ειδωλολάτρας· επειδή τότε πρέπει να εξέλθητε από του κόσμου.
but I did not mean not at all with the whoremongers of this world, or the covetous, or rapacious, or idolaters: since ye must then go out of the world.
11 Αλλά τώρα σας έγραψα να μη συναναστρέφησθε, εάν τις αδελφός ονομαζόμενος ήναι πόρνος ή πλεονέκτης ή ειδωλολάτρης ή λοίδορος ή μέθυσος ή άρπαξ· με τον τοιούτον μηδέ να συντρώγητε.
But now I have written to you, not to associate with him, if any one, that is called a brother, be a whoremonger, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or rapacious; with such a one no not to eat.
12 Διότι τι με μέλει να κρίνω και τους έξω; δεν κρίνετε σεις τους έσω;
For what have I to do to judge those that are without? and do not ye judge those that are within?
13 Τους δε έξω ο Θεός θέλει κρίνει. Όθεν εκβάλετε τον κακόν εκ μέσου υμών.
But those who are without, God judgeth: and therefore put away the wicked one from among you.
