Παραλειπομένων Αʹ 28
1 Και συνεκάλεσεν ο Δαβίδ πάντας τους άρχοντας του Ισραήλ, τους άρχοντας των φυλών και τους άρχοντας των διαιρέσεων αίτινες υπηρέτουν τον βασιλέα, και τους χιλιάρχους και τους εκατοντάρχους και τους επιστάτας πάντων των υπαρχόντων και κτημάτων του βασιλέως και των υιών αυτού, μετά των ευνούχων και των ανδρείων, και πάντων των δυνατών εν ισχύϊ, εις Ιερουσαλήμ.
And David assembled all the prices of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that served the king by course, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers over all the substance and possessions of the king and of his sons, with the officers, and the mighty men, even all the mighty men of valour, unto Jerusalem.
2 Και σταθείς ο βασιλεύς Δαβίδ επί των ποδών αυτού, είπεν, Ακούσατέ μου, αδελφοί μου και λαέ μου· Εγώ συνέλαβον εν τη καρδία μου να οικοδομήσω οίκον αναπαύσεως διά την κιβωτόν της διαθήκης του Κυρίου και διά το υποπόδιον των ποδών του Θεού ημών· και έκαμον ετοιμασίαν διά την οικοδομήν.
Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.
3 Ο Θεός όμως είπε προς εμέ, Συ δεν θέλεις οικοδομήσει οίκον εις το όνομά μου, διότι είσαι ανήρ πολέμων και αίματα έχυσας.
But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou art a man of war, and hast shed blood.
4 Εξέλεξε δε Κύριος ο Θεός του Ισραήλ εμέ εκ παντός του οίκου του πατρός μου, διά να ήμαι βασιλεύς επί τον Ισραήλ εις τον αιώνα· διότι εξέλεξε τον Ιούδαν άρχοντα· εκ δε του οίκου του Ιούδα εξέλεξε τον οίκον του πατρός μου· μεταξύ δε των υιών του πατρός μου εμέ ηυδόκησε να κάμη βασιλέα επί πάντα τον Ισραήλ·
Howbeit the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel:
5 και εκ πάντων των υιών μου, διότι ο Κύριος πολλούς υιούς έδωκεν εις εμέ, εξέλεξε Σολομώντα τον υιόν μου, διά να καθίση επί τον θρόνον της βασιλείας του Κυρίου, επί τον Ισραήλ.
And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons, ) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
6 Και είπε προς εμέ, Σολομών ο υιός σου, αυτός θέλει οικοδομήσει τον οίκόν μου και τας αυλάς μου· διότι αυτόν εξέλεξα υιόν εις εμέ, και εγώ θέλω είσθαι πατήρ εις αυτόν·
And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
7 και θέλω στερεώσει την βασιλείαν αυτού έως αιώνος, εάν μένη σταθερός εις το να εκτελή τας εντολάς μου και τας κρίσεις μου, καθώς εν τη ημέρα ταύτη.
And I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.
8 Τώρα λοιπόν, ενώπιον παντός του Ισραήλ της συναγωγής του Κυρίου και εις επήκοον του Θεού ημών, προς εσάς λέγω, Φυλάττετε και ζητείτε πάσας τας εντολάς Κυρίου του Θεού σας· διά να κυριεύητε την γην ταύτην την αγαθήν, και να αφήσητε αυτήν ύστερον από σας κληρονομίαν εις τους υιούς σας διά παντός.
Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you for ever.
9 Και συ, Σολομών υιέ μου, γνώρισον τον Θεόν του πατρός σου και δούλευε αυτόν εν καρδία τελεία και εν ψυχή θελούση· διότι ο Κύριος εξετάζει πάσας τας καρδίας και εξεύρει πάντας τους λογισμούς των διανοιών· εάν εκζητής αυτόν, θέλει ευρίσκεσθαι υπό σού· εάν όμως εγκαταλίπης αυτόν, θέλει σε απορρίψει διά παντός.
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
10 Ιδέ τώρα ότι ο Κύριος σε εξέλεξε, διά να οικοδομήσης οίκον εις αγιαστήριον· ενδυναμού και εκτέλει.
Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
11 Και έδωκεν ο Δαβίδ εις τον Σολομώντα τον υιόν αυτού το σχέδιον του προνάου και των οίκων αυτού, και των θησαυροφυλακίων αυτού, και των υπερώων αυτού και των έσω δωματίων αυτού και του οίκου του ιλαστηρίου,
Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch [of the temple], and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper rooms thereof, and of the inner chambers thereof, and of the place of the mercy-seat:
12 και το σχέδιον πάντων όσα συνέλαβεν εν τω πνεύματι αυτού, των αυλών του οίκου του Κυρίου και πάντων των πέριξ οικημάτων, των αποθηκών του οίκου του Θεού και των αποθηκών των αφιερωμάτων·
and the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, for the courts of the house of the LORD, and for all the chambers round about, for the treasuries of the house of God, and for the treasuries of the dedicated things:
13 και των διαιρέσεων των ιερέων και Λευϊτών και παντός του έργου της υπηρεσίας του οίκου του Κυρίου, και πάντων των σκευών της υπηρεσίας του οίκου του Κυρίου.
also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD:
14 Έδωκε χρυσόν κατά βάρος διά τα χρυσά, διά πάντα τα σκεύη παντός είδους υπηρεσίας· και άργυρον κατά βάρος διά πάντα τα σκεύη τα αργυρά, διά πάντα τα σκεύη παντός είδους υπηρεσίας·
of gold by weight for the [vessels of] gold, for all vessels of every kind of service; [of silver] for all the vessels of silver by weight, for all vessels of every kind of service:
15 και το βάρος διά τας χρυσάς λυχνίας και διά τους χρυσούς λύχνους αυτών, κατά βάρος δι' εκάστην λυχνίαν και διά τους λύχνους αυτής· και διά τας αργυράς λυχνίας κατά βάρος, διά την λυχνίαν και διά τους λύχνους αυτής, κατά την χρήσιν εκάστης λυχνίας·
by weight also for the candlesticks of gold, and for the lamps thereof, of gold, by weight for every candlestick and for the lamps thereof, and for the candlesticks of silver, [silver] by weight for [every] candlestick and for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick:
16 και χρυσόν κατά βάρος διά τας τραπέζας των άρτων της προθέσεως, δι' εκάστην τράπεζαν· και άργυρον διά τας τραπέζας τας αργυράς·
and the gold by weight for the tables of shewbread, for every table; and silver for the tables of silver:
17 και χρυσόν καθαρόν διά τας κρεάγρας και διά τας λεκάνας και διά τας φιάλας· και διά τους χρυσούς κρατήρας, κατά βάρος δι' έκαστον κρατήρα· κατά βάρος ομοίως δι' έκαστον αργυρούν κρατήρα·
and the fleshhooks, and the basons, and the cups, of pure gold: and for the golden bowls by weight for every bowl; and for the silver bowls by weight for every bowl:
18 και διά το θυσιαστήριον του θυμιάματος, κεκαθαρισμένον χρυσίον κατά βάρος· και χρυσίον διά το σχέδιον της αμάξης των χερουβείμ, τα οποία εξαπλόνουσι τας πτέρυγας και σκεπάζουσι την κιβωτόν της διαθήκης του Κυρίου.
and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight: and gold for the pattern of the chariot, [even] the cherubim, that spread out [their wings], and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
19 Τα πάντα, είπεν, ο Κύριος εφανέρωσε, γράψας διά της χειρός αυτού προς εμέ πάντα τα έργα του σχεδίου.
All this, [said David], have I been made to understand in writing from the hand of the LORD, even all the works of this pattern.
20 Και είπεν ο Δαβίδ προς Σολομώντα τον υιόν αυτού, Ενδυναμού και ανδρίζου και εκτέλει μη φοβού μηδέ πτοηθής· διότι Κύριος ο Θεός, ο Θεός μου, θέλει είσθαι μετά σού· δεν θέλει σε αφήσει ουδέ σε εγκαταλείψει, εωσού τελειώσης άπαν το έργον της υπηρεσίας του οίκου του Κυρίου.
And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, is with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD be finished.
21 Και ιδού, αι διαιρέσεις των ιερέων και Λευϊτών διά πάσαν υπηρεσίαν του οίκου του Θεού· και θέλουσιν είσθαι μετά σου, διά παν έργον, πας επιστήμων, πρόθυμος εις παν είδος υπηρεσίας, και οι άρχοντες και πας ο λαός, έτοιμοι εις πάντα τα προστάγματά σου.
And, behold, there are the courses of the priests and the Levites, for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee in all manner of work every willing man that hath skill, for any manner of service: also the captains and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.
