Παραλειπομένων Αʹ 15
1 Και ο Δαβίδ έκαμεν εις εαυτόν οικίας εν τη πόλει Δαβίδ, και ητοίμασε τόπον διά την κιβωτόν του Θεού και έστησε σκηνήν δι' αυτήν.
And [David] made himself houses in the city of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2 Τότε είπεν ο Δαβίδ, Δεν πρέπει να σηκώσωσι την κιβωτόν του Θεού ειμή οι Λευΐται διότι αυτούς εξέλεξεν ο Κύριος διά να σηκόνωσι την κιβωτόν του Θεού και να λειτουργώσιν εν αυτή διαπαντός.
Then said David, None shall carry the ark of God but the Levites; for of them hath the Lord made choice to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
3 Και συνήθροισεν ο Δαβίδ πάντα τον Ισραήλ εις την Ιερουσαλήμ, διά να αναβιβάσωσι την κιβωτόν του Κυρίου εις τον τόπον αυτής, τον οποίον ητοίμασε δι' αυτήν.
And David assembled all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto its place, which he had prepared for it.
4 Και συνήθροισεν ο Δαβίδ τους υιούς του Ααρών και τους Λευΐτας·
And David gathered together the children of Aaron, and the Levites.
5 εκ των υιών Καάθ, Ουριήλ τον αρχηγόν και τους αδελφούς αυτού, εκατόν είκοσι·
Of the sons of Kehath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twenty.
6 εκ των υιών Μεραρί, Ασαΐαν τον αρχηγόν και τους αδελφούς αυτού, διακοσίους είκοσι·
Of the sons of Merari: 'Assayah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty.
7 εκ των υιών Γηρσώμ, Ιωήλ τον αρχηγόν και τους αδελφούς αυτού, εκατόν τριάκοντα·
Of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and thirty.
8 εκ των υιών Ελισαφάν, Σεμαΐαν τον αρχηγόν και τους αδελφούς αυτού, διακοσίους·
Of the sons of Elizaphan: Shema'yah the chief, and his brethren two hundred.
9 εκ των υιών Χεβρών, Ελιήλ τον αρχηγόν και τους αδελφούς αυτού, ογδοήκοντα·
Of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren eighty.
10 εκ των υιών Οζιήλ, Αμμιναδάβ τον αρχηγόν και τους αδελφούς αυτού, εκατόν δώδεκα.
Of the sons of 'Uzziel: 'Amminadab the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twelve.
11 Και εκάλεσεν ο Δαβίδ τον Σαδώκ και τον Αβιάθαρ, τους ιερείς, και τους Λευΐτας Ουριήλ, Ασαΐαν, και Ιωήλ, Σεμαΐαν και Ελιήλ και Αμμιναδάβ,
And David called for Zadok and Ebyathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, 'Assayah, and Joel, Shema'yah, and Eliel, and 'Amminadab,
12 και είπε προς αυτούς, σεις οι άρχοντες των πατριών των Λευϊτών, αγιάσθητε σεις και οι αδελφοί σας, και αναβιβάσατε την κιβωτόν Κυρίου του Θεού του Ισραήλ εις τον τόπον τον οποίον ητοίμασα δι' αυτήν·
And he said unto them, Ye are the chiefs of the family divisions of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel unto [the place which] I have prepared for it.
13 διότι, επειδή σεις δεν εκάμετε τούτο την αρχήν, Κύριος ο Θεός ημών έκαμε χαλασμόν εν ημίν, καθότι δεν εζητήσαμεν αυτόν κατά το διατεταγμένον.
For, because ye [did] it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among us; because we had not sought him after the prescribed manner.
14 Οι ιερείς λοιπόν και οι Λευΐται ηγιάσθησαν, διά να αναβιβάσωσι την κιβωτόν Κυρίου του Θεού του Ισραήλ.
So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel.
15 Και εσήκωσαν οι υιοί των Λευϊτών την κιβωτόν του Θεού επί ώμων με τους μοχλούς εφ' εαυτών, καθώς προσέταξεν ο Μωϋσής κατά τον λόγον του Κυρίου.
And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord, on their shoulders, by means of barrows placed upon them.
16 Και είπεν ο Δαβίδ προς τους αρχηγούς των Λευϊτών να στήσωσι τους αδελφούς αυτών τους ψαλτωδούς με όργανα μουσικά, ψαλτήρια και κιθάρας και κύμβαλα, διά να ηχώσιν υψόνοντες φωνήν εν ευφροσύνη.
And David said to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, to sing aloud, by lifting up the voice for joy.
17 Και έστησαν οι Λευΐται τον Αιμάν υιόν του Ιωήλ· και εκ των αδελφών αυτού, τον Ασάφ υιόν του Βαραχίου· και εκ των υιών Μεραρί των αδελφών αυτών, τον Εθάν υιόν του Κεισαΐα·
So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel, and of his brethren, Assaph the son of Berechyahu, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushayahu;
18 και μετ' αυτών, τους δευτερεύοντας αδελφούς αυτών, Ζαχαρίαν, Βεν και Ιααζιήλ και Σεμιραμώθ και Ιεχιήλ και Ουννί, Ελιάβ και Βεναΐαν και Μαασίαν και Ματταθίαν και Ελιφελεού και Μικνεΐαν και Ωβήδ-εδώμ και Ιεϊήλ, τους πυλωρούς.
And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zecharyahu, Ben, and Ja'aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and 'Unni, Eliab, and Benayahu, and Ma'asseyahu, and Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and 'Obed-edom, and Je'iel, the gatekeepers.
19 Ούτως οι ψαλτωδοί, Αιμάν, Ασάφ και Εθάν, διωρίσθησαν διά να ηχώσι με κύμβαλα χάλκινα·
Namely, the singers, Heman, Assaph, and Ethan, to play aloud with cymbals of copper;
20 ο δε Ζαχαρίας και Αζιήλ και Σεμιραμώθ και Ιεχιήλ και Ουννί και Ελιάβ και Μαασίας και Βεναΐας, με ψαλτήρια επί Αλαμώθ·
And Zechariah, and 'Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and 'Unni, and Eliab, and Ma'asseyahu, and Benayahu, with psalteries on 'Alamoth;
21 και ο Ματταθίας και Ελιφελεού και Μικνεΐας και Ωβήδ-εδώμ και Ιεϊήλ και Αζαζίας, με κιθάρας επί Σεμινίθ, διά να ενισχύσωσι τον τόνον.
And Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and 'Obed-edom, and Je-iel, and 'Azazyahu, with harps on the Sheminith to play as leaders.
22 Και ο Χενανίας ήτο πρωταοιδός των Λευϊτών, προεδρεύων εις το άδειν, επειδή ήτο συνετός.
And Kenanyahu was the chief of the Levites in conducting the singing: he instructed in conducting the singing, because he was skilful.
23 Ο δε Βαραχίας και Ελκανά ήσαν πυλωροί της κιβωτού.
And Berechyah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.
24 Και ο Σεβανίας και Ιωσαφάτ και Ναθαναήλ και Αμασαΐ και Ζαχαρίας και Βεναΐας και Ελιέζερ, οι ιερείς, εσάλπιζον με τας σάλπιγγας έμπροσθεν της κιβωτού του Θεού· ο δε Ωβήδ-εδώμ και Ιεχιά ήσαν πυλωροί της κιβωτού.
And Shebanyahu, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and 'Amassai, and Zecharyahu, and Benayahu, and Eli'ezer, the priests, did blow on the trumpets before the ark of God; and 'Obed-edom and Jechiyah were gatekeepers for the ark.
25 Και υπήγαν ο Δαβίδ και οι πρεσβύτεροι του Ισραήλ και οι χιλίαρχοι να αναβιβάσωσι την κιβωτόν της διαθήκης του Κυρίου εκ του οίκου του Ωβήδ-εδώμ εν ευφροσύνη.
And it was David, with the elders of Israel, and the officers over the thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of 'Obed-edom with joy.
26 Και ότε ο Θεός ενίσχυε τους Λευΐτας τους βαστάζοντας την κιβωτόν της διαθήκης του Κυρίου, εθυσίαζον επτά μόσχους και επτά κριούς.
And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
27 Και ο Δαβίδ ήτο ενδεδυμένος στολήν βυσσίνην, και πάντες οι Λευΐται οι βαστάζοντες την κιβωτόν και οι ψαλτωδοί και ο Χενανίας ο πρωταοιδός των ψαλτωδών· και εφόρει ο Δαβίδ εφόδ λινούν.
And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and [so were] all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Kenanyahu the chief in conducting the singing of the singers; but David had also upon him an ephod of linen.
28 Ούτω πας ο Ισραήλ ανεβίβαζε την κιβωτόν της διαθήκης του Κυρίου εν αλαλαγμώ και εν φωνή κερατίνης και εν σάλπιγξι και εν κυμβάλοις, ηχούντες εν ψαλτηρίοις και εν κιθάραις.
Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, playing aloud on psalteries and harps.
29 Και ενώ η κιβωτός της διαθήκης του Κυρίου εισήρχετο εις την πόλιν Δαβίδ, Μιχάλ, η θυγάτηρ του Σαούλ, έκυψε διά της θυρίδος και ιδούσα τον βασιλέα Δαβίδ χορεύοντα και παίζοντα, εξουδένωσεν αυτόν εν τη καρδία αυτής.
And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came as far as the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked through the window, and saw king David dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
