1 Ούτοι δε είναι οι ελθόντες προς τον Δαβίδ εις Σικλάγ, ενώ ήτο έτι κεκλεισμένος από προσώπου του Σαούλ υιού του Κείς, και ούτοι ήσαν εκ των ισχυρών, βοηθούντες εν πολέμω,
Now these, are they who came unto David, to Ziklag, he yet being shut up, because of Saul son of Kish, —and, they, were among the heroes, helpers in the war;
2 ώπλισμένοι τόξα, μεταχειριζόμενοι και την δεξιάν και την αριστεράν εις το να τοξεύωσι λίθους και βέλη διά του τόξου, όντες εκ των αδελφών του Σαούλ, εκ του Βενιαμίν·
armed with the bow, using right hand or left with stones, and with arrows in the bow, —of the brethren of Saul, out of Benjamin:
3 ο αρχηγός Αχιέζερ, έπειτα Ιωάς, υιοί του Σεμαά του Γαβααθίτου· και Ιεζιήλ και Φελέτ, υιοί του Αζμαβέθ· και Βεραχά και Ιηού ο Αναθωθίτης·
the chief, Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, —and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite;
4 και Ισμαΐα ο Γαβαωνίτης, ισχυρός μεταξύ των τριάκοντα και επί των τριάκοντα· και Ιερεμίας και Ιααζιήλ και Ιωανάν και Ιωζαβάδ ο Γεδηρωθίτης,
and Ishmaiah, the Gibeonite, a hero among the thirty, and over the thirty, —and Jeremiah and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad, the Gederathite;
5 Ελουζαΐ και Ιεριμώθ και Βααλία και Σεμαρίας και Σεφατίας ο Αρουφίτης
Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah, and Shephatiah, the Haruphite;
6 Ελκανά και Ιεσιά και Αζαρεήλ και Ιωεζέρ και Ιασωβεάμ, οι Κορίται,
Elkanah and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
7 και Ιωηλά και Ζεβαδίας, οι υιοί του Ιεροάμ από Γεδώρ.
and Joelah and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham, of Gedor.
8 Και εκ των Γαδιτών εχωρίσθησαν τινές και ήλθον προς τον Δαβίδ εις το οχύρωμα εν τη ερήμω, δυνατοί εν ισχύϊ, άνδρες παρατάξεως πολέμου, θυρεοφόροι και λογχοφόροι, και τα πρόσωπα αυτών πρόσωπα λέοντος, εις δε την ταχύτητα ως αι δορκάδες επί των ορέων·
And, of the Gadites, there separated themselves unto David, to the stronghold towards the desert, heroes of valour, men of war, for battle, men that could handle shield and spear, —and, faces of lions, were their faces, and, like gazelles upon the mountains, were they, for swiftness:
9 Εσέρ ο άρχων, Οβαδία ο δεύτερος, Ελιάβ ο τρίτος,
Ezer, the chief, Obadiah, the second, —Eliab, the third;
10 Μισμανά ο τέταρτος, Ιερεμίας ο πέμπτος,
Mashmannah, the fourth, Jeremiah, the fifth;
11 Ατθαΐ ο έκτος, Ελιήλ ο έβδομος,
Attai, the sixth, Eliel the seventh;
12 Ιωανάν ο όγδοος, Ελζαβάδ ο έννατος,
Johanan, the eighth, Elzabad, the ninth;
13 Ιερεμίας ο δέκατος, Μαχβαναί ο ενδέκατος.
Jeremiah, the tenth, Machbannai, the eleventh.
14 Ούτοι ήσαν εκ των υιών του Γαδ, αρχηγοί του στρατεύματος, εις ο μικρότερος επί εκατόν, και ο μεγαλήτερος επί χιλίους.
These, were of the sons of Gad, chiefs of the host, —one to a hundred, the least, and, the greatest, to a thousand.
15 Ούτοι ήσαν οι διαβάντες τον Ιορδάνην εν τω πρώτω μηνί, ότε πλημμυρεί επί πάσας τας όχθας αυτού· και διεσκόρπισαν πάντας τους κατοίκους των κοιλάδων προς ανατολάς και προς δυσμάς.
These, are they who passed over the Jordan, in the first month, when, it, was full, over all its banks, —and they put to flight all them of the vales, to the east and to the west.
16 Ήλθον έτι εκ των υιών Βενιαμίν και Ιούδα εις το οχύρωμα προς τον Δαβίδ.
And there came, of the sons of Benjamin, and Judah, as far as the stronghold, unto David.
17 Και εξήλθεν ο Δαβίδ εις συνάντησιν αυτών και αποκριθείς είπε προς αυτούς, Εάν έρχησθε προς εμέ εν ειρήνη διά να μοι βοηθήσητε, η καρδία μου θέλει είσθαι ηνωμένη με σάς· αλλ' εάν διά να με προδόσητε εις τους εχθρούς μου, ενώ δεν είναι αδικία εις τας χείρας μου, ο Θεός των πατέρων ημών ας ίδη και ας ελέγξη τούτο.
And David went forth to meet them, and responded, and said to them, If, peaceably, ye are come unto me, to help me, I shall have towards you, a heart for unity, —but, if to betray me to mine adversaries, there being no violence in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and rebuke!
18 Και το Πνεύμα περιεχύθη εις τον Αμασαΐ, τον άρχοντα των τριάκοντα, και είπε, Σού είμεθα, Δαβίδ, και μετά σου, υιέ του Ιεσσαί. Ειρήνη, ειρήνη εις σε, και ειρήνη εις τους βοηθούς σου· διότι ο Θεός σου σε βοηθεί. Τότε εδέχθη αυτούς ο Δαβίδ και κατέστησεν αυτούς αρχηγούς των δυνάμεων αυτού.
Then, the spirit, clothed Amasai, chief of the thirty, Thine, O David, Yea, with, thee, O son of Jesse! Prosperity, prosperity to thee, And prosperity to thy helpers, For thy God, hath helped thee: So David accepted them, and set them among the chiefs of the band.
19 Και εκ του Μανασσή προσεχώρησαν εις τον Δαβίδ, ότε ήλθε μετά των Φιλισταίων εναντίον του Σαούλ διά να πολεμήση, πλην δεν εβοήθησαν αυτούς· διότι οι ηγεμόνες των Φιλισταίων συμβουλευθέντες απέπεμψαν αυτόν, λέγοντες, Θέλει προσχωρήσει προς τον Σαούλ τον κύριον αυτού με κίνδυνον των κεφαλών ημών.
And, of Manasseh, there fell away unto David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they helped them not, —for the lords of the Philistines advisedly sent him away, saying, At the price of our heads, he might fall away to his master, Saul.
20 Ενώ επορεύετο εις Σικλάγ, προσεχώρησαν εις αυτόν εκ του Μανασσή, Αδνά και Ιωζαβάδ και Ιεδιαήλ και Μιχαήλ και Ιωζαβάδ και Ελιού και Σιλθαΐ, αρχηγοί των χιλιάδων του Μανασσή·
When he went into Ziklag, there fell away unto him, of Manasseh, Adnah and Jozabad, and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad, and Elihu and Zillethai, —chiefs of the thousands that pertained to Manasseh;
21 και ούτοι εβοήθησαν τον Δαβίδ εναντίον των ληστών· διότι ήσαν πάντες δυνατοί εν ισχύϊ και έγειναν αρχηγοί του στρατεύματος.
and, they, helped with David, against the [marauding] band, for, heroes of valour, were they all, —and they became captains in the host;
22 Διότι τότε από ημέρας εις ημέραν ήρχοντο προς τον Δαβίδ διά να βοηθήσωσιν αυτόν, εωσού έγεινε στρατόπεδον μέγα, ως στρατόπεδον Θεού.
for, from day to day, there came unto David, to help him, —until it was a great camp, like a camp of God.
23 Ούτοι δε είναι οι αριθμοί των αρχηγών των ώπλισμένων διά πόλεμον, των ελθόντων προς τον Δαβίδ εις Χεβρών, διά να στρέψωσιν εις αυτόν την βασιλείαν του Σαούλ, κατά τον λόγον του Κυρίου.
And, these, are the numbers of the chiefs armed for war, they came unto David, to Hebron, —to turn round the kingdom of Saul unto him, according to the bidding of Yahweh:
24 Οι υιοί του Ιούδα, θυρεοφόροι και λογχοφόροι, εξ χιλιάδες και οκτακόσιοι, ώπλισμένοι διά πόλεμον.
Sons of Judah, bearers of shield and spear, six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
25 Εκ των υιών Συμεών, δυνατοί εν ισχύϊ, διά πόλεμον, επτά χιλιάδες και εκατόν.
Of sons of Simeon, heroes of valour for the war, seven thousand, and one hundred.
26 Εκ των υιών Λευΐ, τέσσαρες χιλιάδες και εξακόσιοι.
Of the sons of Levi, four thousand, and six hundred.
27 Και ο Ιωδαέ ήτο αρχηγός των Ααρωνιτών, και μετ' αυτού ήσαν τρεις χιλιάδες και επτακόσιοι·
And Jehoiada, was chief ruler for Aaron, —and, with him, three thousand and seven hundred;
28 και Σαδώκ, νέος δυνατός εν ισχύϊ, και εκ του οίκου του πατρός αυτού εικοσιδύο αρχηγοί.
and Zadok, a young man, a hero of valour, —and the house of his father, captains twenty and two.
29 Και εκ των υιών Βενιαμίν, αδελφών του Σαούλ, τρεις χιλιάδες· διότι έως τότε το μεγαλήτερον μέρος αυτών υπερησπίζετο τον οίκον του Σαούλ.
And, of the sons of Benjamin, brethren of Saul, three thousand, —and, hitherto, the greater part of them, had been keeping the charge of the house of Saul.
30 Και εκ των υιών Εφραΐμ, είκοσι χιλιάδες και οκτακόσιοι, δυνατοί εν ισχύϊ, άνδρες ονομαστοί του οίκου των πατέρων αυτών.
And, of the sons of Ephraim, twenty thousand, and eight hundred, —heroes of valour, men of renown, to their ancestral house.
31 Και εκ της ημισείας φυλής του Μανασσή, δεκαοκτώ χιλιάδες· οίτινες ωνομάσθησαν κατ' όνομα, διά να έλθωσι να κάμωσι βασιλέα τον Δαβίδ.
And, of the half tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, who were distinguished by name, coming in to make David king.
32 Και εκ των υιών Ισσάχαρ, άνδρες συνετοί εις την γνώσιν των καιρών, ώστε να γνωρίζωσι τι έπρεπε να κάμνη ο Ισραήλ· οι αρχηγοί αυτών ήσαν διακόσιοι· και πάντες οι αδελφοί αυτών υπό την διαταγήν αυτών.
And, of the sons of Issachar, such as were of good understanding of the times, to know what Israel, should do, their chiefs, were two hundred, and, all their brethren, were at their bidding.
33 Εκ του Ζαβουλών, όσοι εξήρχοντο εις πόλεμον, παραταττόμενοι εις μάχην με πάντα τα όπλα του πολέμου, πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες, μάχιμοι εκ παρατάξεως, ουχί με διπλήν καρδίαν.
Of Zebulun—such as were ready to go forth in host, expert for battle with all weapons of war, fifty thousand, —and for setting in array, not of two minds!
34 Και εκ του Νεφθαλί, χίλιοι αρχηγοί, και μετ' αυτών θυρεοφόροι και λογχοφόροι τριάκοντα επτά χιλιάδες.
And, of Naphtali, a thousand captains, —and, with them, with shield and spear, thirty-seven thousand.
35 Και εκ των Δανιτών, άνδρες παραταττόμενοι εις πόλεμον, εικοσιοκτώ χιλιάδες και εξακόσιοι.
And, of the Danite, expert for war, twenty-eight thousand, and six hundred.
36 Και εκ του Ασήρ, όσοι εξήρχοντο εις πόλεμον, μάχιμοι εκ παρατάξεως, τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες.
And, of Asher, such as were ready to go forth in host to set in array for battle, forty thousand.
37 Και εκ του πέραν του Ιορδάνου, εκ των Ρουβηνιτών και εκ των Γαδιτών και εκ της ημισείας φυλής του Μανασσή, με πάντα τα όπλα του πολέμου διά μάχην, εκατόν είκοσι χιλιάδες.
And, from over the Jordan, of the Reubenites and Gadites and half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of weapons of war for battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.
38 Πάντες ούτοι οι άνδρες οι πολεμισταί, μάχιμοι εκ παρατάξεως, ήλθον με πλήρη καρδίαν εις Χεβρών, διά να κάμωσι τον Δαβίδ βασιλέα επί πάντα τον Ισραήλ· και παν έτι το επίλοιπον του Ισραήλ ήσαν μία καρδία, διά να κάμωσι τον Δαβίδ βασιλέα.
All these, being men of war, expert in setting in battle-array, with a perfect heart, came to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel, —moreover also, all the rest of Israel, were of one heart to make David king.
39 Και ήσαν εκεί μετά του Δαβίδ τρεις ημέρας, τρώγοντες και πίνοντες· διότι οι αδελφοί αυτών είχον κάμει ετοιμασίαν δι' αυτούς.
So they were there, with David, three days, eating and drinking, —for their brethren had made preparation for them.
40 Προσέτι, οι γειτονεύοντες μετ' αυτών, έως του Ισσάχαρ, και Ζαβουλών και Νεφθαλί, έφεραν τροφάς επί όνων και επί καμήλων και επί ημιόνων και επί βοών, τροφάς αλεύρου, παλάθας σύκων και σταφίδας και οίνον και έλαιον και βόας και πρόβατα, αφθόνως· διότι ήτο ευφροσύνη εν τω Ισραήλ.
Moreover also, they who were near of kin unto them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, were bringing bread, on asses and on camels and on mules and on oxen, meal-food, cakes of figs and cakes of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep—in abundance, —for there was joy Israel.
