Προς Κορινθιους Α΄ 6

1 τολμα τισ υμων πραγμα εχων προσ τον ετερον κρινεσθαι επι των αδικων και ουχι επι των αγιων

Does any one of you that has a matter of dispute with another, presume to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

2 ουκ οιδατε οτι οι αγιοι τον κοσμον κρινουσιν και ει εν υμιν κρινεται ο κοσμοσ αναξιοι εστε κριτηριων ελαχιστων

Know you not that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you unworthy to decide concerning the smallest matters?

3 ουκ οιδατε οτι αγγελουσ κρινουμεν μητι γε βιωτικα

Know you not that we shall judge angels? Much more then, things pertaining to this life.

4 βιωτικα μεν ουν κριτηρια εαν εχητε τουσ εξουθενημενουσ εν τη εκκλησια τουτουσ καθιζετε

If, then, you have controversies pertaining to things of this life, set them to judge who are the least esteemed in the church.

5 προσ εντροπην υμιν λεγω ουτωσ ουκ ενι εν υμιν σοφοσ ουδε εισ οσ δυνησεται διακριναι ανα μεσον του αδελφου αυτου

I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not among you a wise man, not even one, who shall be able to arbitrate between his brethren?

6 αλλα αδελφοσ μετα αδελφου κρινεται και τουτο επι απιστων

But brother goes to law with brother, and this before the unbelievers?

7 ηδη μεν ουν ολωσ ηττημα υμιν εστιν οτι κριματα εχετε μεθ εαυτων δια τι ουχι μαλλον αδικεισθε δια τι ουχι μαλλον αποστερεισθε

Now, certainly, you are altogether in fault, that you have law-suits with one another. Why do you not rather suffer injustice? Why do you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

8 αλλα υμεισ αδικειτε και αποστερειτε και ταυτα αδελφουσ

But you act unjustly, and you defraud, and that, too, your brethren.

9 η ουκ οιδατε οτι αδικοι βασιλειαν θεου ου κληρονομησουσιν μη πλανασθε ουτε πορνοι ουτε ειδωλολατραι ουτε μοιχοι ουτε μαλακοι ουτε αρσενοκοιται

Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither lewd persons, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor catamites, nor sodomites,

10 ουτε πλεονεκται ουτε κλεπται ουτε μεθυσοι ου λοιδοροι ουχ αρπαγεσ βασιλειαν θεου ου κληρονομησουσιν

nor thieves, nor defrauders, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 και ταυτα τινεσ ητε αλλα απελουσασθε αλλα ηγιασθητε αλλ εδικαιωθητε εν τω ονοματι του κυριου ιησου και εν τω πνευματι του θεου ημων

And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

12 παντα μοι εξεστιν αλλ ου παντα συμφερει παντα μοι εξεστιν αλλ ουκ εγω εξουσιασθησομαι υπο τινοσ

All meats are lawful for me: but all are not profitable. All are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under subjection by any.

13 τα βρωματα τη κοιλια και η κοιλια τοισ βρωμασιν ο δε θεοσ και ταυτην και ταυτα καταργησει το δε σωμα ου τη πορνεια αλλα τω κυριω και ο κυριοσ τω σωματι

Meats for the stomach, and the stomach for meats; but God will destroy both it and them. But the body is not for lewdness, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body:

14 ο δε θεοσ και τον κυριον ηγειρεν και ημασ εξεγερει δια τησ δυναμεωσ αυτου

and God has raised, up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.

15 ουκ οιδατε οτι τα σωματα υμων μελη χριστου εστιν αρασ ουν τα μελη του χριστου ποιησω πορνησ μελη μη γενοιτο

Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I, then, take the members of the Christ, and make them the members of a harlot? It must not be.

16 ουκ οιδατε οτι ο κολλωμενοσ τη πορνη εν σωμα εστιν εσονται γαρ φησιν οι δυο εισ σαρκα μιαν

Know you not that he that is joined to a harlot, is one body? For the two, says the scripture, shall be one flesh.

17 ο δε κολλωμενοσ τω κυριω εν πνευμα εστιν

But he that is joined to the Lord, is one spirit.

18 φευγετε την πορνειαν παν αμαρτημα ο εαν ποιηση ανθρωποσ εκτοσ του σωματοσ εστιν ο δε πορνευων εισ το ιδιον σωμα αμαρτανει

Shun lewdness. Every sin that a man commits, is without the body; but he that is guilty of lewdness sins against his own body.

19 η ουκ οιδατε οτι το σωμα υμων ναοσ του εν υμιν αγιου πνευματοσ εστιν ου εχετε απο θεου και ουκ εστε εαυτων

Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which you have from God, and that you are not your own?

20 ηγορασθητε γαρ τιμησ δοξασατε δη τον θεον εν τω σωματι υμων και εν τω πνευματι υμων ατινα εστιν του θεου

For you have been bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body.
