Ψαλμοί 145
1 αἴνεσις τῷ Δαυιδ ὑψώσω σε ὁ θεός μου ὁ βασιλεύς μου καὶ εὐλογήσω τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος
A song of praise. Of David. I will exalt you, my God, O king: I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 καθ’ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν εὐλογήσω σε καὶ αἰνέσω τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος
I will bless you every day: I will praise your name for ever and ever.
3 μέγας κύριος καὶ αἰνετὸς σφόδρα καὶ τῆς μεγαλωσύνης αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔστιν πέρας
Great is the Lord and worthy all praise, his greatness is unsearchable.
4 γενεὰ καὶ γενεὰ ἐπαινέσει τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ τὴν δύναμίν σου ἀπαγγελοῦσιν
One age to another shall praise your deeds, declaring the mighty things you have done.
5 τὴν μεγαλοπρέπειαν τῆς δόξης τῆς ἁγιωσύνης σου λαλήσουσιν καὶ τὰ θαυμάσιά σου διηγήσονται
Of your glorious majesty they shall tell, and I will muse of your many wonders.
6 καὶ τὴν δύναμιν τῶν φοβερῶν σου ἐροῦσιν καὶ τὴν μεγαλωσύνην σου διηγήσονται
Of the might of your terrible acts they shall speak, and the tale of your great deeds I will tell.
7 μνήμην τοῦ πλήθους τῆς χρηστότητός σου ἐξερεύξονται καὶ τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου ἀγαλλιάσονται
The fame of your abundant goodness and righteousness they shall pour forth in song.
8 οἰκτίρμων καὶ ἐλεήμων ὁ κύριος μακρόθυμος καὶ πολυέλεος
The Lord is full of grace and pity, patient and rich in loving-kindness.
9 χρηστὸς κύριος τοῖς σύμπασιν καὶ οἱ οἰκτιρμοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ
The Lord is good to all the world, and his pity is over all things that he made.
10 ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι κύριε πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ οἱ ὅσιοί σου εὐλογησάτωσάν σε
All your works give you thanks, O Lord, and you are blessed of those who love you.
11 δόξαν τῆς βασιλείας σου ἐροῦσιν καὶ τὴν δυναστείαν σου λαλήσουσιν
They shall speak of your glorious kingdom, and of your might shall they discourse,
12 τοῦ γνωρίσαι τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων τὴν δυναστείαν σου καὶ τὴν δόξαν τῆς μεγαλοπρεπείας τῆς βασιλείας σου
making known to all his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13 ἡ βασιλεία σου βασιλεία πάντων τῶν αἰώνων καὶ ἡ δεσποτεία σου ἐν πάσῃ γενεᾷ καὶ γενεᾷ πιστὸς κύριος ἐν τοῖς λόγοις αὐτοῦ καὶ ὅσιος ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτοῦ
Yours is a kingdom that lives through all ages: through all generations extends your dominion.
14 ὑποστηρίζει κύριος πάντας τοὺς καταπίπτοντας καὶ ἀνορθοῖ πάντας τοὺς κατερραγμένους
The Lord upholds all who fall; he lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ πάντων εἰς σὲ ἐλπίζουσιν καὶ σὺ δίδως τὴν τροφὴν αὐτῶν ἐν εὐκαιρίᾳ
The eyes of all look in hope to you, and you give them their food in due season.
16 ἀνοίγεις σὺ τὴν χεῖρά σου καὶ ἐμπιπλᾷς πᾶν ζῷον εὐδοκίας
You yourself open your hand, and fill with your favor all things that live.
17 δίκαιος κύριος ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ ὅσιος ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτοῦ
The Lord is righteous in all his ways, gracious is he in all that he does.
18 ἐγγὺς κύριος πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐπικαλουμένοις αὐτόν πᾶσι τοῖς ἐπικαλουμένοις αὐτὸν ἐν ἀληθείᾳ
The Lord is near to all who call him, to all who call upon him in truth.
19 θέλημα τῶν φοβουμένων αὐτὸν ποιήσει καὶ τῆς δεήσεως αὐτῶν ἐπακούσεται καὶ σώσει αὐτούς
He will fulfil the desires of those who fear him; he will hear their cry for help and save them.
20 φυλάσσει κύριος πάντας τοὺς ἀγαπῶντας αὐτὸν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἁμαρτωλοὺς ἐξολεθρεύσει
The Lord is the keeper of all who love him, but all the wicked will he destroy.
21 αἴνεσιν κυρίου λαλήσει τὸ στόμα μου καὶ εὐλογείτω πᾶσα σὰρξ τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος
My mouth will utter the praise of the Lord, and all life will bless his holy name for ever and ever.
