Παροιμίαι 14
1 σοφαὶ γυναῖκες ᾠκοδόμησαν οἴκους ἡ δὲ ἄφρων κατέσκαψεν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῆς
wise woman to build house: home her and folly in/on/with hand her to overthrow him
2 ὁ πορευόμενος ὀρθῶς φοβεῖται τὸν κύριον ὁ δὲ σκολιάζων ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ ἀτιμασθήσεται
to go: walk in/on/with uprightness his afraid LORD and be devious way: conduct his to despise him
3 ἐκ στόματος ἀφρόνων βακτηρία ὕβρεως χείλη δὲ σοφῶν φυλάσσει αὐτούς
in/on/with lip fool(ish) branch pride and lips wise to keep: guard them
4 οὗ μή εἰσιν βόες φάτναι καθαραί οὗ δὲ πολλὰ γενήματα φανερὰ βοὸς ἰσχύς
in/on/with nothing cattle crib pure and abundance produce in/on/with strength cattle
5 μάρτυς πιστὸς οὐ ψεύδεται ἐκκαίει δὲ ψεύδη μάρτυς ἄδικος
witness faithful not to lie and to breathe lie witness deception
6 ζητήσεις σοφίαν παρὰ κακοῖς καὶ οὐχ εὑρήσεις αἴσθησις δὲ παρὰ φρονίμοις εὐχερής
to seek to mock wisdom and nothing and knowledge to/for to understand to lighten
7 πάντα ἐναντία ἀνδρὶ ἄφρονι ὅπλα δὲ αἰσθήσεως χείλη σοφά
to go: went from before to/for man fool and not to know lip: words knowledge
8 σοφία πανούργων ἐπιγνώσεται τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῶν ἄνοια δὲ ἀφρόνων ἐν πλάνῃ
wisdom prudent to understand way: conduct his and folly fool deceit
9 οἰκίαι παρανόμων ὀφειλήσουσιν καθαρισμόν οἰκίαι δὲ δικαίων δεκταί
fool(ish) to mock guilt (offering) and between upright acceptance
10 καρδία ἀνδρὸς αἰσθητική λυπηρὰ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ ὅταν δὲ εὐφραίνηται οὐκ ἐπιμείγνυται ὕβρει
heart to know bitterness soul: myself his and in/on/with joy his not to pledge be a stranger
11 οἰκίαι ἀσεβῶν ἀφανισθήσονται σκηναὶ δὲ κατορθούντων στήσονται
house: household wicked to destroy and tent upright to sprout
12 ἔστιν ὁδὸς ἣ δοκεῖ ὀρθὴ εἶναι παρὰ ἀνθρώποις τὰ δὲ τελευταῖα αὐτῆς ἔρχεται εἰς πυθμένα ᾅδου
there way: conduct upright to/for face of man and end her way: conduct death
13 ἐν εὐφροσύναις οὐ προσμείγνυται λύπη τελευταία δὲ χαρὰ εἰς πένθος ἔρχεται
also in/on/with laughter to pain heart and end her joy grief
14 τῶν ἑαυτοῦ ὁδῶν πλησθήσεται θρασυκάρδιος ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν διανοημάτων αὐτοῦ ἀνὴρ ἀγαθός
from way: conduct his to satisfy to turn heart and from upon him man pleasant
15 ἄκακος πιστεύει παντὶ λόγῳ πανοῦργος δὲ ἔρχεται εἰς μετάνοιαν
simple be faithful to/for all word: thing and prudent to understand to/for step his
16 σοφὸς φοβηθεὶς ἐξέκλινεν ἀπὸ κακοῦ ὁ δὲ ἄφρων ἑαυτῷ πεποιθὼς μείγνυται ἀνόμῳ
wise afraid and to turn aside: depart from bad: evil and fool be arrogant and to trust
17 ὀξύθυμος πράσσει μετὰ ἀβουλίας ἀνὴρ δὲ φρόνιμος πολλὰ ὑποφέρει
short face: anger to make: do folly and man plot to hate
18 μεριοῦνται ἄφρονες κακίαν οἱ δὲ πανοῦργοι κρατήσουσιν αἰσθήσεως
to inherit simple folly and prudent to surround knowledge
19 ὀλισθήσουσιν κακοὶ ἔναντι ἀγαθῶν καὶ ἀσεβεῖς θεραπεύσουσιν θύρας δικαίων
to bow bad: evil to/for face: before pleasant and wicked upon gate righteous
20 φίλοι μισήσουσιν φίλους πτωχούς φίλοι δὲ πλουσίων πολλοί
also to/for neighbor his to hate be poor and to love: friend rich many
21 ὁ ἀτιμάζων πένητας ἁμαρτάνει ἐλεῶν δὲ πτωχοὺς μακαριστός
to despise to/for neighbor his to sin and be gracious (poor *Q(K)*) blessed he
22 πλανώμενοι τεκταίνουσι κακά ἔλεον δὲ καὶ ἀλήθειαν τεκταίνουσιν ἀγαθοί οὐκ ἐπίστανται ἔλεον καὶ πίστιν τέκτονες κακῶν ἐλεημοσύναι δὲ καὶ πίστεις παρὰ τέκτοσιν ἀγαθοῖς
not to go astray to plow/plot bad: evil and kindness and truth: faithful to plow/plot good
23 ἐν παντὶ μεριμνῶντι ἔνεστιν περισσόν ὁ δὲ ἡδὺς καὶ ἀνάλγητος ἐν ἐνδείᾳ ἔσται
in/on/with all toil to be advantage and word: because lip: words surely to/for need
24 στέφανος σοφῶν πανοῦργος ἡ δὲ διατριβὴ ἀφρόνων κακή
crown wise riches their folly fool folly
25 ῥύσεται ἐκ κακῶν ψυχὴν μάρτυς πιστός ἐκκαίει δὲ ψεύδη δόλιος
to rescue soul: life witness truth: true and to breathe lie deceit
26 ἐν φόβῳ κυρίου ἐλπὶς ἰσχύος τοῖς δὲ τέκνοις αὐτοῦ καταλείπει ἔρεισμα
in/on/with fear LORD confidence strength and to/for son: child his to be refuge
27 πρόσταγμα κυρίου πηγὴ ζωῆς ποιεῖ δὲ ἐκκλίνειν ἐκ παγίδος θανάτου
fear LORD fountain life to/for to turn aside: depart from snare death
28 ἐν πολλῷ ἔθνει δόξα βασιλέως ἐν δὲ ἐκλείψει λαοῦ συντριβὴ δυνάστου
in/on/with abundance people adornment king and in/on/with end people terror prince
29 μακρόθυμος ἀνὴρ πολὺς ἐν φρονήσει ὁ δὲ ὀλιγόψυχος ἰσχυρῶς ἄφρων
slow face: anger many understanding and short spirit: temper to exalt folly
30 πραΰθυμος ἀνὴρ καρδίας ἰατρός σὴς δὲ ὀστέων καρδία αἰσθητική
life flesh heart healing and rottenness bone jealousy
31 ὁ συκοφαντῶν πένητα παροξύνει τὸν ποιήσαντα αὐτόν ὁ δὲ τιμῶν αὐτὸν ἐλεᾷ πτωχόν
to oppress poor to taunt to make him and to honor: honour him be gracious needy
32 ἐν κακίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀπωσθήσεται ἀσεβής ὁ δὲ πεποιθὼς τῇ ἑαυτοῦ ὁσιότητι δίκαιος
in/on/with distress: evil his to thrust wicked and to seek refuge in/on/with death his righteous
33 ἐν καρδίᾳ ἀγαθῇ ἀνδρὸς σοφία ἐν δὲ καρδίᾳ ἀφρόνων οὐ διαγινώσκεται
in/on/with heart to understand to rest wisdom and in/on/with entrails: among fool to know
34 δικαιοσύνη ὑψοῖ ἔθνος ἐλασσονοῦσι δὲ φυλὰς ἁμαρτίαι
righteousness to exalt nation and shame people sin
35 δεκτὸς βασιλεῖ ὑπηρέτης νοήμων τῇ δὲ ἑαυτοῦ εὐστροφίᾳ ἀφαιρεῖται ἀτιμίαν
acceptance king to/for servant/slave be prudent and fury his to be be ashamed
