Ἀριθμοί 34

1 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων

And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

2 ἔντειλαι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε εἰς τὴν γῆν Χανααν αὕτη ἔσται ὑμῖν εἰς κληρονομίαν γῆ Χανααν σὺν τοῖς ὁρίοις αὐτῆς

Command the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, When, ye, are coming into the land of Canaan, this is the land which shall fall unto you, as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan, by the boundaries thereof.

3 καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν τὸ κλίτος τὸ πρὸς λίβα ἀπὸ ἐρήμου Σιν ἕως ἐχόμενον Εδωμ καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν τὰ ὅρια πρὸς λίβα ἀπὸ μέρους τῆς θαλάσσης τῆς ἁλυκῆς ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν

Ye shall therefore have a south corner, from the desert of Zin, on the side of Edom, —so shall ye have a south boundary, from the end of the salt sea, eastward:

4 καὶ κυκλώσει ὑμᾶς τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ λιβὸς πρὸς ἀνάβασιν Ακραβιν καὶ παρελεύσεται Σεννα καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ πρὸς λίβα Καδης τοῦ Βαρνη καὶ ἐξελεύσεται εἰς ἔπαυλιν Αραδ καὶ παρελεύσεται Ασεμωνα

and the boundary shall go round for you from the south towards the cliffs of Akrabbim, then cross over towards Zin, and the extension thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, then shall it reach out to Hazar-addar, and cross over towards Azmon;

5 καὶ κυκλώσει τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ Ασεμωνα χειμάρρουν Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος ἡ θάλασσα

then shall the boundary turn round from Azmon towards the ravine of Egypt, —and the extension thereof shall be towards the sea.

6 καὶ τὰ ὅρια τῆς θαλάσσης ἔσται ὑμῖν ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μεγάλη ὁριεῖ τοῦτο ἔσται ὑμῖν τὰ ὅρια τῆς θαλάσσης

And, for a west boundary, —ye shall have the great sea, even a boundary, this, shall serve you as west boundary.

7 καὶ τοῦτο ἔσται τὰ ὅρια ὑμῖν πρὸς βορρᾶν ἀπὸ τῆς θαλάσσης τῆς μεγάλης καταμετρήσετε ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς παρὰ τὸ ὄρος τὸ ὄρος

And, this, shall serve you as a north boundary, —From the great sea, ye shall draw a line for you to Mount Hor:

8 καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους τὸ ὄρος καταμετρήσετε αὐτοῖς εἰσπορευομένων εἰς Εμαθ καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ τὰ ὅρια Σαραδα

From Mount Hor, ye shall draw a line to the entering in of Hamath, —and the extension of the boundary shall be towards Zedad:

9 καὶ ἐξελεύσεται τὰ ὅρια Δεφρωνα καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ Ασερναιν τοῦτο ἔσται ὑμῖν ὅρια ἀπὸ βορρᾶ

then shall the boundary reach out towards Ziphron, and the extension thereof, be to Hazar-enan. This, shall serve you as a north, boundary.

10 καὶ καταμετρήσετε ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς τὰ ὅρια ἀνατολῶν ἀπὸ Ασερναιν Σεπφαμα

Then shall ye draw for yourselves a line, for an east boundary, —from Hazar-enan towards Shepham;

11 καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ Σεπφαμ Αρβηλα ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἐπὶ πηγάς καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια Βηλα ἐπὶ νώτου θαλάσσης Χεναρα ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν

and the boundary shall go down from Shepham towards Riblah, on the east of Ain—then shall the boundary go down and strike on the side of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward:

12 καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος θάλασσα ἡ ἁλυκή αὕτη ἔσται ὑμῖν ἡ γῆ καὶ τὰ ὅρια αὐτῆς κύκλῳ

then shall the boundary go down towards the Jordan, and the extension thereof be to the salt sea. This shall be your land by the boundaries thereof round about.

13 καὶ ἐνετείλατο Μωυσῆς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λέγων αὕτη ἡ γῆ ἣν κατακληρονομήσετε αὐτὴν μετὰ κλήρου ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ δοῦναι αὐτὴν ταῖς ἐννέα φυλαῖς καὶ τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασση

And Moses commanded the sons of Israel saying, —This, is the land, which ye shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh had commanded to be given to the nine tribes and the half tribe.

14 ὅτι ἔλαβεν φυλὴ υἱῶν Ρουβην καὶ φυλὴ υἱῶν Γαδ κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασση ἀπέλαβον τοὺς κλήρους αὐτῶν

For the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites by their ancestral house, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, by their ancestral house, have received, and, the half tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:

15 δύο φυλαὶ καὶ ἥμισυ φυλῆς ἔλαβον τοὺς κλήρους αὐτῶν πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου κατὰ Ιεριχω ἀπὸ νότου κατ’ ἀνατολάς

the two tribes, and the half tribe, have received their inheritance—on this side Jordan near Jericho, eastwards, towards sunrise.

16 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

17 ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν οἳ κληρονομήσουσιν ὑμῖν τὴν γῆν Ελεαζαρ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ναυη

These, are the names of the men who shall receive for you the land, as an inheritance, Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun.

18 καὶ ἄρχοντα ἕνα ἐκ φυλῆς λήμψεσθε κατακληρονομῆσαι ὑμῖν τὴν γῆν

Also, one prince from each tribe, shall ye take to receive the land, as an inheritance.

19 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν τῆς φυλῆς Ιουδα Χαλεβ υἱὸς Ιεφοννη

These, therefore, are the names of the men, —For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

20 τῆς φυλῆς Συμεων Σαλαμιηλ υἱὸς Εμιουδ

And, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud:

21 τῆς φυλῆς Βενιαμιν Ελδαδ υἱὸς Χασλων

For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

22 τῆς φυλῆς Δαν ἄρχων Βακχιρ υἱὸς Εγλι

And, for the tribe of the sons of Dan, a prince—Bukki, son of Jogli:

23 τῶν υἱῶν Ιωσηφ φυλῆς υἱῶν Μανασση ἄρχων Ανιηλ υἱὸς Ουφι

For the sons of Joseph, For the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, a prince, —Hanniel son of Ephod;

24 τῆς φυλῆς υἱῶν Εφραιμ ἄρχων Καμουηλ υἱὸς Σαβαθα

And, for the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a prince, —Kemuel, son of Shiphtan;

25 τῆς φυλῆς Ζαβουλων ἄρχων Ελισαφαν υἱὸς Φαρναχ

And, for the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a prince, —Elizaphan, son of Parnach;

26 τῆς φυλῆς υἱῶν Ισσαχαρ ἄρχων Φαλτιηλ υἱὸς Οζα

And, for the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a prince, —Paltiel son of Azzan;

27 τῆς φυλῆς υἱῶν Ασηρ ἄρχων Αχιωρ υἱὸς Σελεμι

And, for the tribe of the sons of Asher, a prince, —Ahihud son of Shelomi:

28 τῆς φυλῆς Νεφθαλι ἄρχων Φαδαηλ υἱὸς Βεναμιουδ

And, for the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a prince, —Pedahel, son of Ammihud.

29 οὗτοι οἷς ἐνετείλατο κύριος καταμερίσαι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν γῇ Χανααν

These, are they whom Yahweh hath commanded to receive for the sons of Israel their inheritance, in the land of Canaan.
