Ἀριθμοί 26
1 καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὴν πληγὴν καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ πρὸς Ελεαζαρ τὸν ἱερέα λέγων
And so after the plague, the Lord spake vnto Moses, and to Eleazar the sonne of Aaron the Priest, saying,
2 λαβὲ τὴν ἀρχὴν πάσης συναγωγῆς υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος παρατάξασθαι ἐν Ισραηλ
Take the nomber of all the Congregation of the children of Israel from twentie yeere olde and aboue throughout their fathers houses, all that go forth to warre in Israel.
3 καὶ ἐλάλησεν Μωυσῆς καὶ Ελεαζαρ ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐν Αραβωθ Μωαβ ἐπὶ τοῦ Ιορδάνου κατὰ Ιεριχω λέγων
So Moses and Eleazar the Priest spake vnto them in the plaine of Moab, by Iorden towarde Iericho, saying,
4 ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ οἱ ἐξελθόντες ἐξ Αἰγύπτου
From twentie yeere olde and aboue ye shall nomber the people, as the Lord had commanded Moses, and the childre of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
5 Ρουβην πρωτότοκος Ισραηλ υἱοὶ δὲ Ρουβην Ενωχ καὶ δῆμος τοῦ Ενωχ τῷ Φαλλου δῆμος τοῦ Φαλλουι
Reuben the first borne of Israel: the children of Reube were: Hanoch, of whom came the familie of the Hanochites, and of Pallu the familie of the Palluites:
6 τῷ Ασρων δῆμος τοῦ Ασρωνι τῷ Χαρμι δῆμος τοῦ Χαρμι
Of Hesron, the familie of the Hesronites: of Carmi, the familie of the Carmites.
7 οὗτοι δῆμοι Ρουβην καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν τρεῖς καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι καὶ τριάκοντα
These are the families of the Reubenites: and they were in nomber three and fourtie thousand, seuen hundreth and thirtie.
8 καὶ υἱοὶ Φαλλου Ελιαβ
And the sonnes of Pallu, Eliab:
9 καὶ υἱοὶ Ελιαβ Ναμουηλ καὶ Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων οὗτοι ἐπίκλητοι τῆς συναγωγῆς οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ ἐπισυστάντες ἐπὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ Κορε ἐν τῇ ἐπισυστάσει κυρίου
And the sonnes of Eliab, Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram: this Dathan and Abiram were famous in the Congregation, and stroue against Moses and against Aaron in the assemblie of Korah, when they stroue against the Lord.
10 καὶ ἀνοίξασα ἡ γῆ τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς κατέπιεν αὐτοὺς καὶ Κορε ἐν τῷ θανάτῳ τῆς συναγωγῆς αὐτοῦ ὅτε κατέφαγεν τὸ πῦρ τοὺς πεντήκοντα καὶ διακοσίους καὶ ἐγενήθησαν ἐν σημείῳ
And the earth opened her mouth, and swalowed them vp with Korah, when the Congregation died, what time the fire consumed, two hundreth and fiftie men, who were for a signe.
11 οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ Κορε οὐκ ἀπέθανον
Notwithstanding, all the sonnes of Korah dyed not.
12 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Συμεων ὁ δῆμος τῶν υἱῶν Συμεων τῷ Ναμουηλ δῆμος ὁ Ναμουηλι τῷ Ιαμιν δῆμος ὁ Ιαμινι τῷ Ιαχιν δῆμος ὁ Ιαχινι
And the children of Simeon after their families were: Nemuel, of whom came the familie of the Nemuelites: of Iamin, the familie of the Iaminites: of Iachin, the familie of the Iachinites:
13 τῷ Ζαρα δῆμος ὁ Ζαραϊ τῷ Σαουλ δῆμος ὁ Σαουλι
Of Zerah, the familie of the Zarhites: of Shaul, the familie of the Shaulites.
14 οὗτοι δῆμοι Συμεων ἐκ τῆς ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν δύο καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες καὶ διακόσιοι
These are the families of the Simeonites: two and twentie thousand and two hundreth.
15 υἱοὶ δὲ Ιουδα Ηρ καὶ Αυναν καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ηρ καὶ Αυναν ἐν γῇ Χανααν
The sonnes of Gad after their families were: Zephon, of whome came ye familie of the Zephonites: of Haggi, the familie of the Haggites: of Shuni, the familie of the Shunites:
16 ἐγένοντο δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Ιουδα κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Σηλων δῆμος ὁ Σηλωνι τῷ Φαρες δῆμος ὁ Φαρες τῷ Ζαρα δῆμος ὁ Ζαραϊ
Of Ozni, the familie of the Oznites: of Eri, the familie of the Erites:
17 καὶ ἐγένοντο υἱοὶ Φαρες τῷ Ασρων δῆμος ὁ Ασρωνι τῷ Ιαμουν δῆμος ὁ Ιαμουνι
Of Arod, the familie of the Arodites: of Areli, the familie of the Arelites.
18 οὗτοι δῆμοι τῷ Ιουδα κατὰ τὴν ἐπισκοπὴν αὐτῶν ἓξ καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι
These are the families of the sonnes of Gad, according to their nombers, fourtie thousand and fiue hundreth.
19 καὶ υἱοὶ Ισσαχαρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Θωλα δῆμος ὁ Θωλαϊ τῷ Φουα δῆμος ὁ Φουαϊ
The sonnes of Iudah, Er and Onan: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.
20 τῷ Ιασουβ δῆμος ὁ Ιασουβι τῷ Σαμαραν δῆμος ὁ Σαμαρανι
So were the sonnes of Iudah after their families: of Shelah came the familie of ye Shelanites: of Pharez, the familie of the Pharzites, of Zerah, the familie of the Zarhites.
21 οὗτοι δῆμοι Ισσαχαρ ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν τέσσαρες καὶ ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τριακόσιοι
And the sonnes of Pharez were: of Hesron, the familie of the Hesronites: of Hamul, the familie of the Hamulites.
22 υἱοὶ Ζαβουλων κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Σαρεδ δῆμος ὁ Σαρεδι τῷ Αλλων δῆμος ὁ Αλλωνι τῷ Αλληλ δῆμος ὁ Αλληλι
These are the families of Iudah, after their nombers, seuentie and sixe thousande and fiue hundreth.
23 οὗτοι δῆμοι Ζαβουλων ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι
The sonnes of Issachar, after their families were: Tola, of whom came the familie of the Tolaites: of Pua, the familie of the Punites:
24 υἱοὶ Γαδ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Σαφων δῆμος ὁ Σαφωνι τῷ Αγγι δῆμος ὁ Αγγι τῷ Σουνι δῆμος ὁ Σουνι
Of Iashub the familie of the Iashubites: of Shimron, the familie of the Shimronites.
25 τῷ Αζενι δῆμος ὁ Αζενι τῷ Αδδι δῆμος ὁ Αδδι
These are the families of Issachar, after their nombers, threescore and foure thousand and three hundreth.
26 τῷ Αροαδι δῆμος ὁ Αροαδι τῷ Αριηλ δῆμος ὁ Αριηλι
The sonnes of Zebulun, after their families were: of Sered, the familie of the Sardites: of Elon, the familie of the Elonites: of Iahleel, the familie of the Iahleelites.
27 οὗτοι δῆμοι υἱῶν Γαδ ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι
These are the families of the Zebulunites, after their nombers, three score thousande and fiue hundreth.
28 υἱοὶ Ασηρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Ιαμιν δῆμος ὁ Ιαμινι τῷ Ιεσου δῆμος ὁ Ιεσουι τῷ Βαρια δῆμος ὁ Βαριαϊ
The sonnes of Ioseph, after their families were Manasseh and Ephraim.
29 τῷ Χοβερ δῆμος ὁ Χοβερι τῷ Μελχιηλ δῆμος ὁ Μελχιηλι
The sonnes of Manasseh were: of Machir, the familie of the Machirites: and Machir begate Gilead: of Gilead came the familie of the Gileadites.
30 καὶ τὸ ὄνομα θυγατρὸς Ασηρ Σαρα
These are the sonnes of Gilead: of Iezer, the familie of the Iezerites: of Helek, the familie of the Helekites.
31 οὗτοι δῆμοι Ασηρ ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν τρεῖς καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι
Of Asriel, the familie of the Asrielites: of Shechem, the familie of Shichmites.
32 υἱοὶ Ιωσηφ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν Μανασση καὶ Εφραιμ
Of Shemida, the familie of the Shemidaites: of Hepher, the familie of the Hepherites.
33 υἱοὶ Μανασση τῷ Μαχιρ δῆμος ὁ Μαχιρι καὶ Μαχιρ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Γαλααδ τῷ Γαλααδ δῆμος ὁ Γαλααδι
And Zelophehad the sonne of Hepher had no sonnes, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah.
34 καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Γαλααδ τῷ Αχιεζερ δῆμος ὁ Αχιεζερι τῷ Χελεγ δῆμος ὁ Χελεγι
These are the families of Manasseh, and the nomber of them, two and fiftie thousand and seuen hundreth.
35 τῷ Εσριηλ δῆμος ὁ Εσριηλι τῷ Συχεμ δῆμος ὁ Συχεμι
These are the sonnes of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah came the familie of the Shuthalhites: of Becher, the familie of the Bachrites: of Tahan, the familie of the Tahanites.
36 τῷ Συμαερ δῆμος ὁ Συμαερι καὶ τῷ Οφερ δῆμος ὁ Οφερι
And these are the sonnes of Shuthelah: of Eran the familie of the Eranites.
37 καὶ τῷ Σαλπααδ υἱῷ Οφερ οὐκ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ υἱοί ἀλλ’ ἢ θυγατέρες καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν θυγατέρων Σαλπααδ Μαλα καὶ Νουα καὶ Εγλα καὶ Μελχα καὶ Θερσα
These are the families of the sonnes of Ephraim after their nombers, two and thirtie thousand and fiue hundreth. these are the sonnes of Ioseph after their families.
38 οὗτοι δῆμοι Μανασση ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν δύο καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι
These are the sonnes of Beniamin after their families: of Bela came the familie of the Belaites: of Ashbel, the familie of the Ashbelites: of Ahiram, the familie of the Ahiramites:
39 καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Εφραιμ τῷ Σουταλα δῆμος ὁ Σουταλαϊ τῷ Ταναχ δῆμος ὁ Ταναχι
Of Shupham, the familie of the Suphamites: of Hupham, the familie of the Huphamites.
40 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Σουταλα τῷ Εδεν δῆμος ὁ Εδενι
And the sonnes of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard came the familie of the Ardites, of Naaman, the familie of the Naamites.
41 οὗτοι δῆμοι Εφραιμ ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν δύο καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι οὗτοι δῆμοι υἱῶν Ιωσηφ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν
These are the sonnes of Beniamin after their families, and their nombers, fiue and fourtie thousand and sixe hundreth.
42 υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Βαλε δῆμος ὁ Βαλεϊ τῷ Ασυβηρ δῆμος ὁ Ασυβηρι τῷ Ιαχιραν δῆμος ὁ Ιαχιρανι
These are the sonnes of Dan after their families: of Shuham came the familie of the Shuhamites: these are the families of Dan after their housholdes.
43 τῷ Σωφαν δῆμος ὁ Σωφανι
All the families of the Shuhamites were after their nombers, threescore and foure thousand, and foure hundreth.
44 καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ υἱοὶ Βαλε Αδαρ καὶ Νοεμαν τῷ Αδαρ δῆμος ὁ Αδαρι τῷ Νοεμαν δῆμος ὁ Νοεμανι
The sonnes of Asher after their families were: of Iimnah, the familie of the Iimnites: of Isui, the familie of the Isuites: of Beriah, the familie of the Berijtes.
45 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν πέντε καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι
The sonnes of Beriah were, of Heber the familie of the Heberites: of Malchiel, the familie of the Malchielites.
46 καὶ υἱοὶ Δαν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Σαμι δῆμος ὁ Σαμι οὗτοι δῆμοι Δαν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν
And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.
47 πάντες οἱ δῆμοι Σαμι κατ’ ἐπισκοπὴν αὐτῶν τέσσαρες καὶ ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι
These are the families of the sonnes of Asher after their nombers, three and fifty thousand and foure hundreth.
48 υἱοὶ Νεφθαλι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Ασιηλ δῆμος ὁ Ασιηλι τῷ Γαυνι δῆμος ὁ Γαυνι
The sonnes of Naphtali, after their families were: of Iahzeel, the families of the Iahzeelites: of Guni, the familie of the Gunites.
49 τῷ Ιεσερ δῆμος ὁ Ιεσερι τῷ Σελλημ δῆμος ὁ Σελλημι
Of Iezer, the familie of the Izrites: of Shillem, the familie of the Shillemites.
50 οὗτοι δῆμοι Νεφθαλι ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν πέντε καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι
These are the families of Naphtali according to their housholdes, and their nomber, fiue and fourtie thousande and foure hundreth.
51 αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες καὶ χίλιοι καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι καὶ τριάκοντα
These are the nombers of the children of Israel: sixe hundreth and one thousand, seuen hundreth and thirtie.
52 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
53 τούτοις μερισθήσεται ἡ γῆ κληρονομεῖν ἐξ ἀριθμοῦ ὀνομάτων
Vnto these the land shalbe deuided for an inheritance, according to the nomber of names.
54 τοῖς πλείοσιν πλεονάσεις τὴν κληρονομίαν καὶ τοῖς ἐλάττοσιν ἐλαττώσεις τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτῶν ἑκάστῳ καθὼς ἐπεσκέπησαν δοθήσεται ἡ κληρονομία αὐτῶν
To many thou shalt giue the more inheritance, and to fewe thou shalt giue lesse inheritance: to euery one according to his nomber shalbe giuen his inheritance.
55 διὰ κλήρων μερισθήσεται ἡ γῆ τοῖς ὀνόμασιν κατὰ φυλὰς πατριῶν αὐτῶν κληρονομήσουσιν
Notwithstanding, the land shalbe deuided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherite:
56 ἐκ τοῦ κλήρου μεριεῖς τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτῶν ἀνὰ μέσον πολλῶν καὶ ὀλίγων
According to the lot shall the possession thereof be deuided betweene many and fewe.
57 καὶ υἱοὶ Λευι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῷ Γεδσων δῆμος ὁ Γεδσωνι τῷ Κααθ δῆμος ὁ Κααθι τῷ Μεραρι δῆμος ὁ Μεραρι
These also are the nobers of ye Leuites, after their families: of Gershon came ye familie of the Gershonites: of Kohath, ye familie of the Kohathites: of Merari, the familie of the Merarites.
58 οὗτοι δῆμοι υἱῶν Λευι δῆμος ὁ Λοβενι δῆμος ὁ Χεβρωνι δῆμος ὁ Κορε καὶ δῆμος ὁ Μουσι καὶ Κααθ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αμραμ
These are the families of Leui, the familie of the Libnites: the familie of the Hebronites: the familie of the Mahlites: the familie of the Mushites: the familie of the Korhites: and Kohath begate Amram.
59 καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τῆς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ Ιωχαβεδ θυγάτηρ Λευι ἣ ἔτεκεν τούτους τῷ Λευι ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ ἔτεκεν τῷ Αμραμ τὸν Ααρων καὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Μαριαμ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν
And Amrams wife was called Iochebed the daughter of Leui, which was borne vnto Leui in Egypt: and she bare vnto Amram Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60 καὶ ἐγεννήθησαν τῷ Ααρων ὅ τε Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ καὶ Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ
And vnto Aaron were borne Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
61 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ ἐν τῷ προσφέρειν αὐτοὺς πῦρ ἀλλότριον ἔναντι κυρίου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινα
And Nadab and Abihu dyed, because they offred strange fire before the Lord.
62 καὶ ἐγενήθησαν ἐξ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν τρεῖς καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω οὐ γὰρ συνεπεσκέπησαν ἐν μέσῳ υἱῶν Ισραηλ ὅτι οὐ δίδοται αὐτοῖς κλῆρος ἐν μέσῳ υἱῶν Ισραηλ
And their nombers were three and twentie thousand, all males from a moneth old and aboue: for they were not nombred among the children of Israel, because there was none inheritance giuen them among the children of Israel.
63 καὶ αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις Μωυσῆ καὶ Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως οἳ ἐπεσκέψαντο τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐν Αραβωθ Μωαβ ἐπὶ τοῦ Ιορδάνου κατὰ Ιεριχω
These are the nombers of Moses and Eleazar the Priest which nombred the children of Israel in the plaine of Moab, neere Iorden, towarde Iericho.
64 καὶ ἐν τούτοις οὐκ ἦν ἄνθρωπος τῶν ἐπεσκεμμένων ὑπὸ Μωυσῆ καὶ Ααρων οὓς ἐπεσκέψαντο τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινα
And among these there was not a man of them, whome Moses and Aaron the Priest nobred, when they tolde the children of Israel in the wildernes of Sinai.
65 ὅτι εἶπεν κύριος αὐτοῖς θανάτῳ ἀποθανοῦνται ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ οὐ κατελείφθη ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐδὲ εἷς πλὴν Χαλεβ υἱὸς Ιεφοννη καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ναυη
For the Lord said of them, They shall die in the wildernes: so there was not left a man of them, saue Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun.
