Ἀριθμοί 16
1 καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κορε υἱὸς Ισσααρ υἱοῦ Κααθ υἱοῦ Λευι καὶ Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων υἱοὶ Ελιαβ καὶ Αυν υἱὸς Φαλεθ υἱοῦ Ρουβην
And he took Korah [the] son of Izhar [the] son of Kohath [the] son of Levi and Dathan and Abiram [the] sons of Eliab and On [the] son of Peleth [the] sons of Reuben.
2 καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἔναντι Μωυσῆ καὶ ἄνδρες τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι ἀρχηγοὶ συναγωγῆς σύγκλητοι βουλῆς καὶ ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοί
And they rose up before Moses and men from [the] people of Israel fifty and two hundred leaders of [the] congregation called of [the] appointed meeting men of name.
3 συνέστησαν ἐπὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων καὶ εἶπαν ἐχέτω ὑμῖν ὅτι πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ πάντες ἅγιοι καὶ ἐν αὐτοῖς κύριος καὶ διὰ τί κατανίστασθε ἐπὶ τὴν συναγωγὴν κυρίου
And they assembled on Moses and on Aaron and they said to them enough for you that all the congregation all of them [are] holy and [is] among midst of them Yahweh and why? do you exalt yourselves over [the] assembly of Yahweh.
4 καὶ ἀκούσας Μωυσῆς ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον
And he heard Moses and he fell on face his.
5 καὶ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς Κορε καὶ πρὸς πᾶσαν αὐτοῦ τὴν συναγωγὴν λέγων ἐπέσκεπται καὶ ἔγνω ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ὄντας αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς ἁγίους καὶ προσηγάγετο πρὸς ἑαυτόν καὶ οὓς ἐξελέξατο ἑαυτῷ προσηγάγετο πρὸς ἑαυτόν
And he spoke to Korah and to all company his saying morning and he will make known Yahweh [the one] who [belongs] to him and the holy [person] and he will bring [him] near to himself and [the one] whom he will choose him he will bring near to himself.
6 τοῦτο ποιήσατε λάβετε ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς πυρεῖα Κορε καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ αὐτοῦ
This do take for yourselves censers O Korah and all company his.
7 καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ πῦρ καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ θυμίαμα ἔναντι κυρίου αὔριον καὶ ἔσται ὁ ἀνήρ ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος οὗτος ἅγιος ἱκανούσθω ὑμῖν υἱοὶ Λευι
And put in them - fire and set on them incense before Yahweh tomorrow and it will be the man whom he will choose Yahweh he [will be] the holy [person] enough for you O descendants of Levi.
8 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Κορε εἰσακούσατέ μου υἱοὶ Λευι
And he said Moses to Korah listen please O descendants of Levi.
9 μὴ μικρόν ἐστιν τοῦτο ὑμῖν ὅτι διέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὑμᾶς ἐκ συναγωγῆς Ισραηλ καὶ προσηγάγετο ὑμᾶς πρὸς ἑαυτὸν λειτουργεῖν τὰς λειτουργίας τῆς σκηνῆς κυρίου καὶ παρίστασθαι ἔναντι τῆς συναγωγῆς λατρεύειν αὐτοῖς
¿ [is it too] small For you that he has set apart [the] God of Israel you from [the] congregation of Israel to bring near you to himself to serve [the] service of [the] tabernacle of Yahweh and to stand before the congregation to serve them.
10 καὶ προσηγάγετό σε καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου υἱοὺς Λευι μετὰ σοῦ καὶ ζητεῖτε ἱερατεύειν
And he has brought near you and all brothers your [the] descendants of Levi with you but you seek also priesthood.
11 οὕτως σὺ καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή σου ἡ συνηθροισμένη πρὸς τὸν θεόν καὶ Ααρων τίς ἐστιν ὅτι διαγογγύζετε κατ’ αὐτοῦ
Therefore you and all company your [are] the [ones who] have gathered on Yahweh and Aaron what? [is] he that (you will cause to grumble *Q(K)*) on him.
12 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Μωυσῆς καλέσαι Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων υἱοὺς Ελιαβ καὶ εἶπαν οὐκ ἀναβαίνομεν
And he sent Moses to summon Dathan and Abiram [the] sons of Eliab and they said not we will come up.
13 μὴ μικρὸν τοῦτο ὅτι ἀνήγαγες ἡμᾶς ἐκ γῆς ῥεούσης γάλα καὶ μέλι ἀποκτεῖναι ἡμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὅτι κατάρχεις ἡμῶν ἄρχων
¿ [is it] small That you have brought up us from a land flowing of milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness that you will make yourself ruler over us also really.
14 εἰ καὶ εἰς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι εἰσήγαγες ἡμᾶς καὶ ἔδωκας ἡμῖν κλῆρον ἀγροῦ καὶ ἀμπελῶνας τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων ἐκείνων ἂν ἐξέκοψας οὐκ ἀναβαίνομεν
Also not into a land flowing of milk and honey you have brought us and you have given to us an inheritance of field and vineyard ¿ [the] eyes of the men those will you put out not we will come up.
15 καὶ ἐβαρυθύμησεν Μωυσῆς σφόδρα καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς κύριον μὴ προσχῇς εἰς τὴν θυσίαν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπιθύμημα οὐδενὸς αὐτῶν εἴληφα οὐδὲ ἐκάκωσα οὐδένα αὐτῶν
And it burned to Moses exceedingly and he said to Yahweh may not you turn to offering their not a donkey one from them I have taken and not I have done harm to one of them.
16 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Κορε ἁγίασον τὴν συναγωγήν σου καὶ γίνεσθε ἕτοιμοι ἔναντι κυρίου σὺ καὶ αὐτοὶ καὶ Ααρων αὔριον
And he said Moses to Korah you and all company your be before Yahweh you and they and Aaron tomorrow.
17 καὶ λάβετε ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιθήσετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ θυμίαμα καὶ προσάξετε ἔναντι κυρίου ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσια πυρεῖα καὶ σὺ καὶ Ααρων ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ
And take - each one censer his and you will put on them incense and you will bring near before Yahweh each one censer his fifty and two hundred censers and you and Aaron each one censer his.
18 καὶ ἔλαβεν ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπέθηκαν ἐπ’ αὐτὰ πῦρ καὶ ἐπέβαλον ἐπ’ αὐτὸ θυμίαμα καὶ ἔστησαν παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων
And they took each one censer his and they put on them fire and they set on them incense and they stood [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting and Moses and Aaron.
19 καὶ ἐπισυνέστησεν ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς Κορε τὴν πᾶσαν αὐτοῦ συναγωγὴν παρὰ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ὤφθη ἡ δόξα κυρίου πάσῃ τῇ συναγωγῇ
And he called together on them Korah all the congregation to [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting and it appeared [the] glory of Yahweh to all the congregation.
20 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron saying.
21 ἀποσχίσθητε ἐκ μέσου τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης καὶ ἐξαναλώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς ἅπαξ
Separate yourselves from among the congregation this so I may consume them like a moment.
22 καὶ ἔπεσαν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν καὶ εἶπαν θεὸς θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκός εἰ ἄνθρωπος εἷς ἥμαρτεν ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν συναγωγὴν ὀργὴ κυρίου
And they fell on faces their and they said O God [the] God of the spirits of all flesh ¿ a man one will he sin and towards all the congregation will you be angry?
23 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
24 λάλησον τῇ συναγωγῇ λέγων ἀναχωρήσατε κύκλῳ ἀπὸ τῆς συναγωγῆς Κορε
Speak to the congregation saying take yourselves up from round about [the] dwelling place of Korah Dathan and Abiram.
25 καὶ ἀνέστη Μωυσῆς καὶ ἐπορεύθη πρὸς Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων καὶ συνεπορεύθησαν μετ’ αὐτοῦ πάντες οἱ πρεσβύτεροι Ισραηλ
And he arose Moses and he went to Dathan and Abiram and they went after him [the] elders of Israel.
26 καὶ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς τὴν συναγωγὴν λέγων ἀποσχίσθητε ἀπὸ τῶν σκηνῶν τῶν ἀνθρώπων τῶν σκληρῶν τούτων καὶ μὴ ἅπτεσθε ἀπὸ πάντων ὧν ἐστιν αὐτοῖς μὴ συναπόλησθε ἐν πάσῃ τῇ ἁμαρτίᾳ αὐτῶν
And he spoke to the congregation saying turn away please from at [the] tents of the men wicked these and may not you touch all that [belongs] to them lest you should be swept away with all sins their.
27 καὶ ἀπέστησαν ἀπὸ τῆς σκηνῆς Κορε κύκλῳ καὶ Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων ἐξῆλθον καὶ εἱστήκεισαν παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῶν σκηνῶν αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν καὶ ἡ ἀποσκευὴ αὐτῶν
And they took themselves up from at [the] dwelling place of Korah Dathan and Abiram from all around and Dathan and Abiram they came out standing [the] entrance of tents their and wives their and sons their and little one[s] their.
28 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς ἐν τούτῳ γνώσεσθε ὅτι κύριος ἀπέστειλέν με ποιῆσαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα ταῦτα ὅτι οὐκ ἀπ’ ἐμαυτοῦ
And he said Moses by this you will know! that Yahweh he has sent me to do all the works these for not from own heart my.
29 εἰ κατὰ θάνατον πάντων ἀνθρώπων ἀποθανοῦνται οὗτοι εἰ καὶ κατ’ ἐπίσκεψιν πάντων ἀνθρώπων ἐπισκοπὴ ἔσται αὐτῶν οὐχὶ κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με
If like [the] death of every human they will die! these [men] and [the] visitation of every human it will be visited on them not Yahweh he has sent me.
30 ἀλλ’ ἢ ἐν φάσματι δείξει κύριος καὶ ἀνοίξασα ἡ γῆ τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς καταπίεται αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς σκηνὰς αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν αὐτοῖς καὶ καταβήσονται ζῶντες εἰς ᾅδου καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι παρώξυναν οἱ ἄνθρωποι οὗτοι τὸν κύριον (Sheol h7585)
And if a creation he will create Yahweh and it will open the ground mouth its and it will swallow them and all that [belongs] to them and they will go down alive Sheol towards and you will know that they have spurned the men these Yahweh. (Sheol h7585)
31 ὡς δὲ ἐπαύσατο λαλῶν πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐρράγη ἡ γῆ ὑποκάτω αὐτῶν
And it was when finished he to speak all the words these and it was split open the ground which [was] under them.
32 καὶ ἠνοίχθη ἡ γῆ καὶ κατέπιεν αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς ὄντας μετὰ Κορε καὶ τὰ κτήνη αὐτῶν
And it opened the earth mouth its and it swallowed them and households their and every person who [belonged] to Korah and all the property.
33 καὶ κατέβησαν αὐτοὶ καὶ ὅσα ἐστὶν αὐτῶν ζῶντα εἰς ᾅδου καὶ ἐκάλυψεν αὐτοὺς ἡ γῆ καὶ ἀπώλοντο ἐκ μέσου τῆς συναγωγῆς (Sheol h7585)
And they went down they and all that [belonged] to them alive Sheol towards and it covered over them the earth and they perished from among the assembly. (Sheol h7585)
34 καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ οἱ κύκλῳ αὐτῶν ἔφυγον ἀπὸ τῆς φωνῆς αὐτῶν ὅτι λέγοντες μήποτε καταπίῃ ἡμᾶς ἡ γῆ
And all Israel which [was] around them they fled to voice their for they said lest it should swallow us the earth.
35 καὶ πῦρ ἐξῆλθεν παρὰ κυρίου καὶ κατέφαγεν τοὺς πεντήκοντα καὶ διακοσίους ἄνδρας τοὺς προσφέροντας τὸ θυμίαμα
And fire it came forth from with Yahweh and it consumed the fifty and two hundred man [who] were bringing near the incense.
36 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
37 καὶ πρὸς Ελεαζαρ τὸν υἱὸν Ααρων τὸν ἱερέα ἀνέλεσθε τὰ πυρεῖα τὰ χαλκᾶ ἐκ μέσου τῶν κατακεκαυμένων καὶ τὸ πῦρ τὸ ἀλλότριον τοῦτο σπεῖρον ἐκεῖ ὅτι ἡγίασαν
Speak to Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest so may he take up the censers from between the burning and the fire scatter beyond for they are holy.
38 τὰ πυρεῖα τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν τούτων ἐν ταῖς ψυχαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ποίησον αὐτὰ λεπίδας ἐλατάς περίθεμα τῷ θυσιαστηρίῳ ὅτι προσηνέχθησαν ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἡγιάσθησαν καὶ ἐγένοντο εἰς σημεῖον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ
[the] censers of The sinners these by lives their and people will make them beaten out of thin plates overlay for the altar for they brought near them before Yahweh and they became holy and they may become a sign for [the] people of Israel.
39 καὶ ἔλαβεν Ελεαζαρ υἱὸς Ααρων τοῦ ἱερέως τὰ πυρεῖα τὰ χαλκᾶ ὅσα προσήνεγκαν οἱ κατακεκαυμένοι καὶ προσέθηκαν αὐτὰ περίθεμα τῷ θυσιαστηρίῳ
And he took Eleazar the priest [the] censers of bronze which they had brought near the [ones who] were burned and people beat out them overlay for the altar.
40 μνημόσυνον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ὅπως ἂν μὴ προσέλθῃ μηθεὶς ἀλλογενής ὃς οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματος Ααρων ἐπιθεῖναι θυμίαμα ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὥσπερ Κορε καὶ ἡ ἐπισύστασις αὐτοῦ καθὰ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ
A reminder to [the] people of Israel so that that not he may draw near a man strange who not [is] one of [the] offspring of Aaron he to make smoke incense before Yahweh and not he will be like Korah and like company his just as he had spoken Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses to him.
41 καὶ ἐγόγγυσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τῇ ἐπαύριον ἐπὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγοντες ὑμεῖς ἀπεκτάγκατε τὸν λαὸν κυρίου
And they grumbled all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel from [the] next day on Moses and on Aaron saying you you have killed [the] people of Yahweh.
42 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἐπισυστρέφεσθαι τὴν συναγωγὴν ἐπὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων καὶ ὥρμησαν ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τήνδε ἐκάλυψεν αὐτὴν ἡ νεφέλη καὶ ὤφθη ἡ δόξα κυρίου
And it was when assembled the congregation on Moses and on Aaron and they turned to [the] tent of meeting and there! it covered it the cloud and it appeared [the] glory of Yahweh.
43 καὶ εἰσῆλθεν Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου
And he came Moses and Aaron to [the] face of [the] tent of meeting.
44 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
45 ἐκχωρήσατε ἐκ μέσου τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης καὶ ἐξαναλώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς ἅπαξ καὶ ἔπεσον ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν
Get away from among the congregation this so I may make an end of them like a moment and they fell on faces their.
46 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Ααρων λαβὲ τὸ πυρεῖον καὶ ἐπίθες ἐπ’ αὐτὸ πῦρ ἀπὸ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ ἐπίβαλε ἐπ’ αὐτὸ θυμίαμα καὶ ἀπένεγκε τὸ τάχος εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν καὶ ἐξίλασαι περὶ αὐτῶν ἐξῆλθεν γὰρ ὀργὴ ἀπὸ προσώπου κυρίου ἦρκται θραύειν τὸν λαόν
And he said Moses to Aaron take the censer and put on it fire from on the altar and set incense and take [it] quickly to the congregation and make atonement on them for it has gone forth wrath from to before Yahweh it has begun the plague.
47 καὶ ἔλαβεν Ααρων καθάπερ ἐλάλησεν αὐτῷ Μωυσῆς καὶ ἔδραμεν εἰς τὴν συναγωγήν καὶ ἤδη ἐνῆρκτο ἡ θραῦσις ἐν τῷ λαῷ καὶ ἐπέβαλεν τὸ θυμίαμα καὶ ἐξιλάσατο περὶ τοῦ λαοῦ
And he took [it] Aaron just as - he had said Moses and he ran into [the] middle of the assembly and there! it had begun the plague among the people and he put the incense and he made atonement on the people.
48 καὶ ἔστη ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν τεθνηκότων καὶ τῶν ζώντων καὶ ἐκόπασεν ἡ θραῦσις
And he stood between the dead and between the living and it was restrained the plague.
49 καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ τεθνηκότες ἐν τῇ θραύσει τέσσαρες καὶ δέκα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι χωρὶς τῶν τεθνηκότων ἕνεκεν Κορε
And they were those [who] died by the plague four-teen thousand and seven hundred besides the [ones who] died on [the] matter of Korah.
50 καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν Ααρων πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐκόπασεν ἡ θραῦσις
And he returned Aaron to Moses to [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting and the plague it had been restrained.
