Ἔσδρας Αʹ 2
1 καὶ οὗτοι οἱ υἱοὶ τῆς χώρας οἱ ἀναβαίνοντες ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας τῆς ἀποικίας ἧς ἀπῴκισεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Βαβυλῶνα καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ Ιουδα ἀνὴρ εἰς πόλιν αὐτοῦ
And these [are] sons of the province who are going up—of the captives of the expulsion that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed to Babylon, and they return to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city—
2 οἳ ἦλθον μετὰ Ζοροβαβελ Ἰησοῦς Νεεμιας Σαραιας Ρεελιας Μαρδοχαιος Βαλασαν Μασφαρ Βαγουι Ρεουμ Βαανα ἀνδρῶν ἀριθμὸς λαοῦ Ισραηλ
who have come in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
3 υἱοὶ Φορος δισχίλιοι ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα δύο
sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred seventy-two;
4 υἱοὶ Σαφατια τριακόσιοι ἑβδομήκοντα δύο
sons of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy-two;
5 υἱοὶ Ηρα ἑπτακόσιοι ἑβδομήκοντα πέντε
sons of Arah, seven hundred seventy-five;
6 υἱοὶ Φααθμωαβ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ιησουε Ιωαβ δισχίλιοι ὀκτακόσιοι δέκα δύο
sons of Pahath-Moab, of the sons of Jeshua [and] Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve;
7 υἱοὶ Αιλαμ χίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντήκοντα τέσσαρες
sons of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four;
8 υἱοὶ Ζαθουα ἐννακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε
sons of Zattu, nine hundred and forty-five;
9 υἱοὶ Ζακχου ἑπτακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα
sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;
10 υἱοὶ Βανουι ἑξακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα δύο
sons of Bani, six hundred forty-two;
11 υἱοὶ Βαβι ἑξακόσιοι εἴκοσι τρεῖς
sons of Bebai, six hundred twenty-three;
12 υἱοὶ Ασγαδ τρισχίλιοι διακόσιοι εἴκοσι δύο
sons of Azgad, one thousand two hundred twenty-two;
13 υἱοὶ Αδωνικαμ ἑξακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα ἕξ
sons of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-six;
14 υἱοὶ Βαγοι δισχίλιοι πεντήκοντα ἕξ
sons of Bigvai, two thousand fifty-six;
15 υἱοὶ Αδιν τετρακόσιοι πεντήκοντα τέσσαρες
sons of Adin, four hundred fifty-four;
16 υἱοὶ Ατηρ τῷ Εζεκια ἐνενήκοντα ὀκτώ
sons of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety-eight;
17 υἱοὶ Βασου τριακόσιοι εἴκοσι τρεῖς
sons of Bezai, three hundred twenty-three;
18 υἱοὶ Ιωρα ἑκατὸν δέκα δύο
sons of Jorah, one hundred and twelve;
19 υἱοὶ Ασεμ διακόσιοι εἴκοσι τρεῖς
sons of Hashum, two hundred twenty-three;
20 υἱοὶ Γαβερ ἐνενήκοντα πέντε
sons of Gibbar, ninety-five;
21 υἱοὶ Βαιθλεεμ ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι τρεῖς
sons of Beth-Lehem, one hundred twenty-three;
22 υἱοὶ Νετωφα πεντήκοντα ἕξ
men of Netophah, fifty-six;
23 υἱοὶ Αναθωθ ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ὀκτώ
men of Anathoth, one hundred twenty-eight;
24 υἱοὶ Ασμωθ τεσσαράκοντα δύο
sons of Azmaveth, forty-two;
25 υἱοὶ Καριαθιαριμ Καφιρα καὶ Βηρωθ ἑπτακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα τρεῖς
sons of Kirjath-Arim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty-three;
26 υἱοὶ Αραμα καὶ Γαβαα ἑξακόσιοι εἴκοσι εἷς
sons of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty-one;
27 ἄνδρες Μαχμας ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι δύο
men of Michmas, one hundred twenty-two;
28 ἄνδρες Βαιθηλ καὶ Αια τετρακόσιοι εἴκοσι τρεῖς
men of Beth-El and Ai, two hundred twenty-three;
29 υἱοὶ Ναβου πεντήκοντα δύο
sons of Nebo, fifty-two;
30 υἱοὶ Μαγεβως ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα ἕξ
sons of Magbish, one hundred fifty-six;
31 υἱοὶ Ηλαμ‐αρ χίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντήκοντα τέσσαρες
sons of another Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four;
32 υἱοὶ Ηραμ τριακόσιοι εἴκοσι
sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty;
33 υἱοὶ Λοδ Αρωθ καὶ Ωνω ἑπτακόσιοι εἴκοσι πέντε
sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty-five;
34 υἱοὶ Ιεριχω τριακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε
sons of Jericho, three hundred forty-five;
35 υἱοὶ Σαναα τρισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι τριάκοντα
sons of Senaah, three thousand and six hundred and thirty.
36 καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς υἱοὶ Ιεδουα τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰησοῦ ἐννακόσιοι ἑβδομήκοντα τρεῖς
The priests: sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three;
37 υἱοὶ Εμμηρ χίλιοι πεντήκοντα δύο
sons of Immer, one thousand fifty-two;
38 υἱοὶ Φασσουρ χίλιοι διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα ἑπτά
sons of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven;
39 υἱοὶ Ηρεμ χίλιοι ἑπτά
sons of Harim, one thousand and seventeen.
40 καὶ οἱ Λευῖται υἱοὶ Ἰησοῦ καὶ Καδμιηλ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ωδουια ἑβδομήκοντα τέσσαρες
The Levites: sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the sons of Hodaviah, seventy-four.
41 οἱ ᾄδοντες υἱοὶ Ασαφ ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ὀκτώ
The singers: sons of Asaph, one hundred twenty-eight.
42 υἱοὶ τῶν πυλωρῶν υἱοὶ Σαλουμ υἱοὶ Ατηρ υἱοὶ Τελμων υἱοὶ Ακουβ υἱοὶ Ατιτα υἱοὶ Σαβαου οἱ πάντες ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἐννέα
Sons of the gatekeepers: sons of Shallum, sons of Ater, sons of Talmon, sons of Akkub, sons of Hatita, sons of Shobai, the whole [are] one hundred thirty-nine.
43 οἱ ναθιναῖοι υἱοὶ Σουια υἱοὶ Ασουφε υἱοὶ Ταβαωθ
The Nethinim: sons of Ziha, sons of Hasupha, sons of Tabbaoth,
44 υἱοὶ Κηραος υἱοὶ Σωηα υἱοὶ Φαδων
sons of Keros, sons of Siaha, sons of Padon,
45 υἱοὶ Λαβανω υἱοὶ Αγαβα υἱοὶ Ακαβωθ
sons of Lebanah, sons of Hagabah, sons of Akkub,
46 υἱοὶ Αγαβ υἱοὶ Σαμαλαι υἱοὶ Αναν
sons of Hagab, sons of Shalmai, sons of Hanan,
47 υἱοὶ Κεδελ υἱοὶ Γαερ υἱοὶ Ρεηα
sons of Giddel, sons of Gahar, sons of Reaiah,
48 υἱοὶ Ρασων υἱοὶ Νεκωδα υἱοὶ Γαζεμ
sons of Rezin, sons of Nekoda, sons of Gazzam,
49 υἱοὶ Ουσα υἱοὶ Φαση υἱοὶ Βασι
sons of Uzza, sons of Paseah, sons of Besai,
50 υἱοὶ Ασενα υἱοὶ Μαωνιμ υἱοὶ Ναφισων
sons of Asnah, sons of Mehunim, sons of Nephusim,
51 υἱοὶ Βακβουκ υἱοὶ Ακιφα υἱοὶ Αρουρ
sons of Bakbuk, sons of Hakupha, sons of Harhur,
52 υἱοὶ Βασαλωθ υἱοὶ Μαουδα υἱοὶ Αρησα
sons of Bazluth, sons of Mehida, sons of Harsha,
53 υἱοὶ Βαρκους υἱοὶ Σισαρα υἱοὶ Θεμα
sons of Barkos, sons of Sisera, sons of Thamah,
54 υἱοὶ Νασουε υἱοὶ Ατουφα
sons of Neziah, sons of Hatipha.
55 υἱοὶ Αβδησελμα υἱοὶ Σατι υἱοὶ Ασεφηραθ υἱοὶ Φαδουρα
Sons of the servants of Solomon: sons of Sotai, sons of Sophereth, sons of Peruda,
56 υἱοὶ Ιεηλα υἱοὶ Δαρκων υἱοὶ Γεδηλ
sons of Jaalah, sons of Darkon, sons of Giddel,
57 υἱοὶ Σαφατια υἱοὶ Ατιλ υἱοὶ Φαχεραθ‐ασεβωιν υἱοὶ Ημι
sons of Shephatiah, sons of Hattil, sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, sons of Ami.
58 πάντες οἱ ναθινιν καὶ υἱοὶ Αβδησελμα τριακόσιοι ἐνενήκοντα δύο
All the Nethinim, and the sons of the servants of Solomon [are] three hundred ninety-two.
59 καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἀναβάντες ἀπὸ Θελμελεθ Θελαρησα Χαρουβ Ηδαν Εμμηρ καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνάσθησαν τοῦ ἀναγγεῖλαι οἶκον πατριᾶς αὐτῶν καὶ σπέρμα αὐτῶν εἰ ἐξ Ισραηλ εἰσίν
And these [are] those going up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsa, Cherub, Addan, Immer, and they have not been able to declare the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they [are] of Israel:
60 υἱοὶ Δαλαια υἱοὶ Βουα υἱοὶ Τωβια υἱοὶ Νεκωδα ἑξακόσιοι πεντήκοντα δύο
sons of Delaiah, sons of Tobiah, sons of Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two.
61 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν τῶν ἱερέων υἱοὶ Χαβια υἱοὶ Ακους υἱοὶ Βερζελλαι ὃς ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ θυγατέρων Βερζελλαι τοῦ Γαλααδίτου γυναῖκα καὶ ἐκλήθη ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτῶν
And of the sons of the priests: sons of Habaiah, sons of Koz, sons of Barzillai (who took a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and is called by their name);
62 οὗτοι ἐζήτησαν γραφὴν αὐτῶν οἱ μεθωεσιμ καὶ οὐχ εὑρέθησαν καὶ ἠγχιστεύθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς ἱερατείας
these have sought their register among those reckoning themselves by genealogy, and they have not been found, and they are redeemed from the priesthood,
63 καὶ εἶπεν Αθερσαθα αὐτοῖς τοῦ μὴ φαγεῖν ἀπὸ τοῦ ἁγίου τῶν ἁγίων ἕως ἀναστῇ ἱερεὺς τοῖς φωτίζουσιν καὶ τοῖς τελείοις
and the Tirshatha says to them that they do not eat of the most holy things until the standing up of a priest with [the] Lights and with [the] Perfections.
64 πᾶσα δὲ ἡ ἐκκλησία ὡς εἷς τέσσαρες μυριάδες δισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα
All the assembly together [is] forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
65 χωρὶς δούλων αὐτῶν καὶ παιδισκῶν αὐτῶν οὗτοι ἑπτακισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι τριάκοντα ἑπτά καὶ οὗτοι ᾄδοντες καὶ ᾄδουσαι διακόσιοι
apart from their servants and their handmaids; these [are] seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and of them [are] two hundred male and female singers.
66 ἵπποι αὐτῶν ἑπτακόσιοι τριάκοντα ἕξ ἡμίονοι αὐτῶν διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε
Their horses [are] seven hundred thirty-six, their mules, two hundred forty-five,
67 κάμηλοι αὐτῶν τετρακόσιοι τριάκοντα πέντε ὄνοι αὐτῶν ἑξακισχίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι εἴκοσι
their camels, four hundred thirty-five, donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
68 καὶ ἀπὸ ἀρχόντων πατριῶν ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς οἶκον κυρίου τὸν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἡκουσιάσαντο εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ στῆσαι αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ
And some of the heads of the fathers in their coming to the house of YHWH that [is] in Jerusalem, have offered willingly for the house of God, to establish it on its base;
69 ὡς ἡ δύναμις αὐτῶν ἔδωκαν εἰς θησαυρὸν τοῦ ἔργου χρυσίον καθαρόν μναῖ ἓξ μυριάδες καὶ χίλιαι καὶ ἀργύριον μναῖ πεντακισχίλιαι καὶ κοθωνοι τῶν ἱερέων ἑκατόν
according to their power they have given to the treasure of the work; of gold, sixty-one thousand drams, and of silver, five thousand pounds, and of priests’ coats, one hundred.
70 καὶ ἐκάθισαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ οἱ ᾄδοντες καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ καὶ οἱ ναθινιμ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν
And the priests dwell, and the Levites, and of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, in their cities; even all Israel in their cities.
