1 καὶ ἤρξατο Σαλωμων τοῦ οἰκοδομεῖν τὸν οἶκον κυρίου ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἐν ὄρει τοῦ Αμορια οὗ ὤφθη κύριος τῷ Δαυιδ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ ᾧ ἡτοίμασεν Δαυιδ ἐν ἅλῳ Ορνα τοῦ Ιεβουσαίου
And Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where He had appeared unto David his father, on the place that David had prepared in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2 καὶ ἤρξατο οἰκοδομῆσαι ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ τετάρτῳ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ
And he began to build on the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
3 καὶ ταῦτα ἤρξατο Σαλωμων τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ μῆκος πήχεων ἡ διαμέτρησις ἡ πρώτη πήχεων ἑξήκοντα καὶ εὖρος πήχεων εἴκοσι
Now in this manner was the foundation laid of the house of God [at its] building [by] Solomon: The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
4 καὶ αιλαμ κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ οἴκου μῆκος ἐπὶ πρόσωπον πλάτους τοῦ οἴκου πήχεων εἴκοσι καὶ ὕψος πήχεων ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι καὶ κατεχρύσωσεν αὐτὸν ἔσωθεν χρυσίῳ καθαρῷ
And the porch that was in the front of the length was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was a hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
5 καὶ τὸν οἶκον τὸν μέγαν ἐξύλωσεν ξύλοις κεδρίνοις καὶ κατεχρύσωσεν χρυσίῳ καθαρῷ καὶ ἔγλυψεν ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ φοίνικας καὶ χαλαστά
And the great house he ceiled with fir-wood, which he overlaid with pure gold, and he wrought thereon palm-trees and chains.
6 καὶ ἐκόσμησεν τὸν οἶκον λίθοις τιμίοις εἰς δόξαν καὶ χρυσίῳ χρυσίου τοῦ ἐκ Φαρουαιμ
And he overlaid the house with costly stones for ornament: and the gold was gold of Parvayim.
7 καὶ ἐχρύσωσεν τὸν οἶκον καὶ τοὺς τοίχους καὶ τοὺς πυλῶνας καὶ τὰ ὀροφώματα καὶ τὰ θυρώματα χρυσίῳ καὶ ἔγλυψεν χερουβιν ἐπὶ τῶν τοίχων
And he covered the house, the beams, the sills, and its walls, and its doors, with gold: and he engraved cherubim on the walls.
8 καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸν οἶκον τοῦ ἁγίου τῶν ἁγίων μῆκος αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ πρόσωπον πλάτους πήχεων εἴκοσι καὶ τὸ εὖρος πήχεων εἴκοσι καὶ κατεχρύσωσεν αὐτὸν χρυσίῳ καθαρῷ εἰς χερουβιν εἰς τάλαντα ἑξακόσια
And he made the most holy house, its length being in front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits: and he covered it with fine gold, [amounting] to six hundred talents.
9 καὶ ὁλκὴ τῶν ἥλων ὁλκὴ τοῦ ἑνὸς πεντήκοντα σίκλοι χρυσίου καὶ τὸ ὑπερῷον ἐχρύσωσεν χρυσίῳ
And the weight of the nails [amounted] to fifty shekels of gold. And the upper chambers he covered with gold.
10 καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τῷ ἁγίῳ τῶν ἁγίων χερουβιν δύο ἔργον ἐκ ξύλων καὶ ἐχρύσωσεν αὐτὰ χρυσίῳ
And he made in the most holy house two cherubim of sculpture work, and they overlaid them with gold.
11 καὶ αἱ πτέρυγες τῶν χερουβιν τὸ μῆκος πήχεων εἴκοσι καὶ ἡ πτέρυξ ἡ μία πήχεων πέντε ἁπτομένη τοῦ τοίχου τοῦ οἴκου καὶ ἡ πτέρυξ ἡ ἑτέρα πήχεων πέντε ἁπτομένη τῆς πτέρυγος τοῦ χερουβ τοῦ ἑτέρου
And regarding the wings of the cherubim their length was twenty cubits; the wing of the one amounting to five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing of five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
12 καὶ ἡ πτέρυξ τοῦ χερουβ τοῦ ἑνὸς πήχεων πέντε ἁπτομένη τοῦ τοίχου τοῦ οἴκου καὶ ἡ πτέρυξ ἡ ἑτέρα πήχεων πέντε ἁπτομένη τοῦ πτέρυγος τοῦ χερουβ τοῦ ἑτέρου
And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing of five cubits was joined closely to the wing of the other cherub.
13 καὶ αἱ πτέρυγες τῶν χερουβιν διαπεπετασμέναι πήχεων εἴκοσι καὶ αὐτὰ ἑστηκότα ἐπὶ τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ πρόσωπα αὐτῶν εἰς τὸν οἶκον
The wings of these cherubim [as they were] spread out were twenty cubits: and they were standing on their feet, and their faces were inward.
14 καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ καταπέτασμα ἐξ ὑακίνθου καὶ πορφύρας καὶ κοκκίνου καὶ βύσσου καὶ ὕφανεν ἐν αὐτῷ χερουβιν
And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought thereon cherubim.
15 καὶ ἐποίησεν ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ οἴκου στύλους δύο πήχεων τριάκοντα πέντε τὸ ὕψος καὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς αὐτῶν πήχεων πέντε
And he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits in length, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
16 καὶ ἐποίησεν σερσερωθ ἐν τῷ δαβιρ καὶ ἔδωκεν ἐπὶ τῶν κεφαλῶν τῶν στύλων καὶ ἐποίησεν ῥοΐσκους ἑκατὸν καὶ ἐπέθηκεν ἐπὶ τῶν χαλαστῶν
And he made chains in the debir; and [others which] he placed on the top of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and placed them on the chains.
17 καὶ ἔστησεν τοὺς στύλους κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ ναοῦ ἕνα ἐκ δεξιῶν καὶ τὸν ἕνα ἐξ εὐωνύμων καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ ἐκ δεξιῶν Κατόρθωσις καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ ἐξ ἀριστερῶν Ἰσχύς
And he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and he called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Bo'az.
