1 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ ἑβδόμῳ ἐκραταίωσεν Ιωδαε καὶ ἔλαβεν τοὺς ἑκατοντάρχους τὸν Αζαριαν υἱὸν Ιωραμ καὶ τὸν Ισμαηλ υἱὸν Ιωαναν καὶ τὸν Αζαριαν υἱὸν Ωβηδ καὶ τὸν Μαασαιαν υἱὸν Αδαια καὶ τὸν Ελισαφαν υἱὸν Ζαχαρια μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς οἶκον

and in/on/with year [the] seventh to strengthen: strengthen Jehoiada and to take: take [obj] ruler [the] hundred to/for Azariah son: child Jeroham and to/for Ishmael son: child Jehohanan and to/for Azariah son: child Obed and [obj] Maaseiah son: child Adaiah and [obj] Elishaphat son: child Zichri with him in/on/with covenant

2 καὶ ἐκύκλωσαν τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ συνήγαγον τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ πασῶν τῶν πόλεων Ιουδα καὶ ἄρχοντας πατριῶν τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Ιερουσαλημ

and to turn: turn in/on/with Judah and to gather [obj] [the] Levi from all city Judah and head: leader [the] father to/for Israel and to come (in): come to(wards) Jerusalem

3 καὶ διέθεντο πᾶσα ἐκκλησία Ιουδα διαθήκην ἐν οἴκῳ τοῦ θεοῦ μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἔδειξεν αὐτοῖς τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ἰδοὺ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ βασιλέως βασιλευσάτω καθὼς ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Δαυιδ

and to cut: make(covenant) all [the] assembly covenant in/on/with house: temple [the] God with [the] king and to say to/for them behold son: descendant/people [the] king to reign like/as as which to speak: speak LORD upon son: descendant/people David

4 νῦν ὁ λόγος οὗτος ὃν ποιήσετε τὸ τρίτον ἐξ ὑμῶν εἰσπορευέσθωσαν τὸ σάββατον τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν καὶ εἰς τὰς πύλας τῶν εἰσόδων

this [the] word: thing which to make: do [the] third from you to come (in): come [the] Sabbath to/for priest and to/for Levi to/for gatekeeper [the] threshold

5 καὶ τὸ τρίτον ἐν οἴκῳ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ τὸ τρίτον ἐν τῇ πύλῃ τῇ μέσῃ καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἐν αὐλαῖς οἴκου κυρίου

and [the] third in/on/with house: home [the] king and [the] third in/on/with gate [the] (Gate of the) Foundation and all [the] people in/on/with court house: temple LORD

6 καὶ μὴ εἰσελθέτω εἰς οἶκον κυρίου ἐὰν μὴ οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ λειτουργοῦντες τῶν Λευιτῶν αὐτοὶ εἰσελεύσονται ὅτι ἅγιοί εἰσιν καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς φυλασσέτω φυλακὰς κυρίου

and not to come (in): come house: temple LORD that if: except if: except [the] priest and [the] to minister to/for Levi they(masc.) to come (in): come for holiness they(masc.) and all [the] people to keep: obey charge LORD

7 καὶ κυκλώσουσιν οἱ Λευῖται τὸν βασιλέα κύκλῳ ἀνδρὸς σκεῦος ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος εἰς τὸν οἶκον ἀποθανεῖται καὶ ἔσονται μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως εἰσπορευομένου καὶ ἐκπορευομένου

and to surround [the] Levi [obj] [the] king around man: anyone and article/utensil his in/on/with hand his and [the] to come (in): come to(wards) [the] house: home to die and to be with [the] king in/on/with to come (in): come he and in/on/with to come out: come he

8 καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ Λευῖται καὶ πᾶς Ιουδα κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεύς καὶ ἔλαβον ἕκαστος τοὺς ἄνδρας αὐτοῦ ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς τοῦ σαββάτου ἕως ἐξόδου τοῦ σαββάτου ὅτι οὐ κατέλυσεν Ιωδαε τὰς ἐφημερίας

and to make: do [the] Levi and all Judah like/as all which to command Jehoiada [the] priest and to take: bring man: anyone [obj] human his to come (in): come [the] Sabbath with to come out: come [the] Sabbath for not to separate Jehoiada [the] priest [obj] [the] division

9 καὶ ἔδωκεν τὰς μαχαίρας καὶ τοὺς θυρεοὺς καὶ τὰ ὅπλα ἃ ἦν τοῦ βασιλέως Δαυιδ ἐν οἴκῳ τοῦ θεοῦ

and to give: give Jehoiada [the] priest to/for ruler [the] hundred [obj] [the] spear and [obj] [the] shield and [obj] [the] shield which to/for king David which house: temple [the] God

10 καὶ ἔστησεν πάντα τὸν λαόν ἕκαστον ἐν τοῖς ὅπλοις αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῆς ὠμίας τοῦ οἴκου τῆς δεξιᾶς ἕως τῆς ὠμίας τῆς ἀριστερᾶς τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ τοῦ οἴκου ἐπὶ τὸν βασιλέα κύκλῳ

and to stand: appoint [obj] all [the] people and man: anyone missile his in/on/with hand his from shoulder [the] house: home [the] right: south till shoulder [the] house: home [the] left: north to/for altar and to/for house: home upon [the] king around

11 καὶ ἐξήγαγεν τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἔδωκεν ἐπ’ αὐτὸν τὸ βασίλειον καὶ τὰ μαρτύρια καὶ ἐβασίλευσαν καὶ ἔχρισαν αὐτὸν Ιωδαε καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπαν ζήτω ὁ βασιλεύς

and to come out: send [obj] son: child [the] king and to give: put upon him [obj] [the] consecration: crown and [obj] [the] testimony and to reign [obj] him and to anoint him Jehoiada and son: child his and to say to live [the] king

12 καὶ ἤκουσεν Γοθολια τὴν φωνὴν τοῦ λαοῦ τῶν τρεχόντων καὶ ἐξομολογουμένων καὶ αἰνούντων τὸν βασιλέα καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα εἰς οἶκον κυρίου

and to hear: hear Athaliah [obj] voice: sound [the] people [the] to run: run and [the] to boast: praise [obj] [the] king and to come (in): come to(wards) [the] people house: temple LORD

13 καὶ εἶδεν καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐπὶ τῆς στάσεως αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς εἰσόδου οἱ ἄρχοντες καὶ αἱ σάλπιγγες περὶ τὸν βασιλέα καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ηὐφράνθη καὶ ἐσάλπισαν ἐν ταῖς σάλπιγξιν καὶ οἱ ᾄδοντες ἐν τοῖς ὀργάνοις ᾠδοὶ καὶ ὑμνοῦντες αἶνον καὶ διέρρηξεν Γοθολια τὴν στολὴν αὐτῆς καὶ ἐβόησεν καὶ εἶπεν ἐπιτιθέμενοι ἐπιτίθεσθε

and to see: see and behold [the] king to stand: stand upon pillar his in/on/with entrance and [the] ruler and [the] trumpet upon [the] king and all people [the] land: country/planet glad and to blow in/on/with trumpet and [the] to sing in/on/with article/utensil [the] song and to know to/for to boast: praise and to tear Athaliah [obj] garment her and to say conspiracy conspiracy

14 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεύς καὶ ἐνετείλατο Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεὺς τοῖς ἑκατοντάρχοις καὶ τοῖς ἀρχηγοῖς τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ἐκβάλετε αὐτὴν ἐκτὸς τοῦ οἴκου καὶ εἰσέλθατε ὀπίσω αὐτῆς καὶ ἀποθανέτω μαχαίρᾳ ὅτι εἶπεν ὁ ἱερεύς μὴ ἀποθανέτω ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου

and to come out: send Jehoiada [the] priest [obj] ruler [the] hundred to reckon: overseer [the] strength: soldiers and to say to(wards) them to come out: send her to(wards) from house: home [the] rank and [the] to come (in): come after her to die in/on/with sword for to say [the] priest not to die her house: temple LORD

15 καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτῇ ἄνεσιν καὶ διῆλθεν διὰ τῆς πύλης τῶν ἱππέων τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἐθανάτωσαν αὐτὴν ἐκεῖ

and to set: put to/for her hand and to come (in): come to(wards) entrance gate [the] horse house: home [the] king and to die her there

16 καὶ διέθετο Ιωδαε διαθήκην ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ τοῦ βασιλέως εἶναι λαὸν τῷ κυρίῳ

and to cut: make(covenant) Jehoiada covenant between him and between all [the] people and between [the] king to/for to be to/for people to/for LORD

17 καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πᾶς ὁ λαὸς τῆς γῆς εἰς οἶκον Βααλ καὶ κατέσπασαν αὐτὸν καὶ τὰ θυσιαστήρια καὶ τὰ εἴδωλα αὐτοῦ ἐλέπτυναν καὶ τὸν Ματθαν ἱερέα τῆς Βααλ ἐθανάτωσαν ἐναντίον τῶν θυσιαστηρίων αὐτοῦ

and to come (in): come all [the] people house: home [the] Baal and to tear him and [obj] altar his and [obj] image his to break and [obj] Mattan priest [the] Baal to kill to/for face: before [the] altar

18 καὶ ἐνεχείρησεν Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεὺς τὰ ἔργα οἴκου κυρίου διὰ χειρὸς ἱερέων καὶ Λευιτῶν καὶ ἀνέστησεν τὰς ἐφημερίας τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν ἃς διέστειλεν Δαυιδ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ ἀνενέγκαι ὁλοκαυτώματα κυρίῳ καθὼς γέγραπται ἐν νόμῳ Μωυσῆ ἐν εὐφροσύνῃ καὶ ἐν ᾠδαῖς διὰ χειρὸς Δαυιδ

and to set: put Jehoiada punishment house: temple LORD in/on/with hand: power [the] priest [the] Levi which to divide David upon house: temple LORD to/for to ascend: offer up burnt offering LORD like/as to write in/on/with instruction Moses in/on/with joy and in/on/with song upon hand: power David

19 καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ πυλωροὶ ἐπὶ τὰς πύλας οἴκου κυρίου καὶ οὐκ εἰσελεύσεται ἀκάθαρτος εἰς πᾶν πρᾶγμα

and to stand: stand [the] gatekeeper upon gate house: temple LORD and not to come (in): come unclean to/for all word: thing

20 καὶ ἔλαβεν τοὺς πατριάρχας καὶ τοὺς δυνατοὺς καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀνεβίβασαν τὸν βασιλέα εἰς οἶκον κυρίου καὶ εἰσῆλθεν διὰ τῆς πύλης τῆς ἐσωτέρας εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἐκάθισαν τὸν βασιλέα ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον τῆς βασιλείας

and to take: take [obj] ruler [the] hundred and [obj] [the] great and [obj] [the] to rule in/on/with people and [obj] all people [the] land: country/planet and to go down [obj] [the] king from house: temple LORD and to come (in): come in/on/with midst gate [the] high house: home [the] king and to dwell [obj] [the] king upon throne [the] kingdom

21 καὶ ηὐφράνθη πᾶς ὁ λαὸς τῆς γῆς καὶ ἡ πόλις ἡσύχασεν καὶ τὴν Γοθολιαν ἐθανάτωσαν μαχαίρᾳ

and to rejoice all people [the] land: country/planet and [the] city to quiet and [obj] Athaliah to die in/on/with sword
