1 Αδαμ Σηθ Ενως
[The first person God created was Adam]. Adam’s [son was] Seth. [Seth’s son was] Enosh. [Enosh’s son was] Kenan.
2 Καιναν Μαλελεηλ Ιαρεδ
[Kenan’s son was] Mahalalel. [Mahalalel’s son was] Jared. [Jared’s son was] Enoch.
3 Ενωχ Μαθουσαλα Λαμεχ
[Enoch’s son was] Methuselah. [Methusalah’s son was] Lamech. [Lamech’s son was] Noah.
4 Νωε υἱοὶ Νωε Σημ Χαμ Ιαφεθ
[Noah’s sons were] Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
5 υἱοὶ Ιαφεθ Γαμερ Μαγωγ Μαδαι Ιωυαν Ελισα Θοβελ Μοσοχ καὶ Θιρας
The sons (OR, descendants) of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
6 καὶ υἱοὶ Γαμερ Ασχαναζ καὶ Ριφαθ καὶ Θοργαμα
The sons (OR, descendants) of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
7 καὶ υἱοὶ Ιωυαν Ελισα καὶ Θαρσις Κίτιοι καὶ Ῥόδιοι
The descendants of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
8 καὶ υἱοὶ Χαμ Χους καὶ Μεστραιμ Φουδ καὶ Χανααν
The sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim (OR, Egypt), Put, and Canaan.
9 καὶ υἱοὶ Χους Σαβα καὶ Ευιλατ καὶ Σαβαθα καὶ Ρεγμα καὶ Σεβεκαθα καὶ υἱοὶ Ρεγμα Σαβα καὶ Ουδαδαν
The descendants of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons (OR, descendants) of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
10 καὶ Χους ἐγέννησεν τὸν Νεβρωδ οὗτος ἤρξατο τοῦ εἶναι γίγας κυνηγὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Another descendant of Cush was Nimrod. When he grew up, he became a mighty warrior on the earth.
Mizraim (OR, Egypt) was the ancestor of the Lud people-group, the Anam people-group, the Lehab people-group, the Naphtuh people-group,
the Pathrus people-group, the Casluh people-group, and the Caphtor people-group. The people of [the] Philistia [region] were descended from the Casluh people-group.
Canaan’s first son was Sidon. He was also the ancestor of the Heth people-group,
the Jebus people-group, the Amor people-group, the Girgash people-group,
the Hiv people-group, the Ark people-group, the Sin people-group,
the Arvad people-group, the Zemar people-group, and the Hamath people-group.
17 υἱοὶ Σημ Αιλαμ καὶ Ασσουρ καὶ Αρφαξαδ
The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. Aram’s sons were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.
Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, who was the father of Eber.
Eber had two sons. One was named Peleg [which sounds like the word that means ‘divided’] because during the time that he lived, [the people on] the earth were divided [into various language groups]. Peleg’s [younger] brother was Joktan.
Joktan was the ancestor of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab.

The descendants of Shem, [in order from him to Abraham], were Arphaxad, Shelah,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26 Σερουχ Ναχωρ Θαρα
Serug, Nahor, Terah,
27 Αβρααμ
and Abram, whose [name was later changed to] Abraham.
28 υἱοὶ δὲ Αβρααμ Ισαακ καὶ Ισμαηλ
Abraham’s sons were Isaac and Ishmael.
29 αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις πρωτοτόκου Ισμαηλ Ναβαιωθ καὶ Κηδαρ Ναβδεηλ Μαβσαν
[The son of Abraham’s slave wife Hagar was Ishmael.] Ishmael’s [twelve] sons were Nebaioth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
30 Μασμα Ιδουμα Μασση Χοδδαδ Θαιμαν
Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,
31 Ιεττουρ Ναφες καὶ Κεδμα οὗτοί εἰσιν υἱοὶ Ισμαηλ
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.
32 καὶ υἱοὶ Χεττουρας παλλακῆς Αβρααμ καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Ζεμβραν Ιεξαν Μαδαν Μαδιαμ Σοβακ Σωε καὶ υἱοὶ Ιεξαν Σαβα καὶ Δαιδαν
[After]’s [wife Sarah died, he took another wife named] Keturah. The sons of Abraham and Keturah were Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. Jokshan’s sons were Sheba and Dedan.
33 καὶ υἱοὶ Μαδιαμ Γαιφα καὶ Οφερ καὶ Ενωχ καὶ Αβιδα καὶ Ελδαα πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Χεττουρας
Midian’s sons were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah.
34 καὶ ἐγέννησεν Αβρααμ τὸν Ισαακ καὶ υἱοὶ Ισαακ Ησαυ καὶ Ιακωβ
The son of Abraham [and his wife Sarah] was Isaac, and Isaac’s sons were Esau and [Jacob, whose name was later changed to] Israel.
35 υἱοὶ Ησαυ Ελιφας καὶ Ραγουηλ καὶ Ιεουλ καὶ Ιεγλομ καὶ Κορε
The sons of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.
36 υἱοὶ Ελιφας Θαιμαν καὶ Ωμαρ Σωφαρ καὶ Γοωθαμ καὶ Κενεζ καὶ τῆς Θαμνα Αμαληκ
The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho (OR, Zephi), Gatam, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek.
37 καὶ υἱοὶ Ραγουηλ Ναχεθ Ζαρε Σομε καὶ Μοζε
Reuel’s sons were Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 υἱοὶ Σηιρ Λωταν Σωβαλ Σεβεγων Ανα Δησων Ωσαρ Δαισων
[Another descendant of Esau was Seir. His descendants lived in the Edom region]. Seir’s sons were Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.
39 καὶ υἱοὶ Λωταν Χορρι καὶ Αιμαν καὶ Αιλαθ καὶ Ναμνα
Lotan’s sons were Hori and Homam, and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
40 υἱοὶ Σωβαλ Γωλαμ Μαναχαθ Γαιβηλ Σωβ καὶ Ωναμ υἱοὶ δὲ Σεβεγων Αια καὶ Ανα
Shobal’s sons were Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. Zibeon’s sons were Aiah and Anah.
41 υἱοὶ Ανα Δαισων υἱοὶ δὲ Δησων Εμερων καὶ Εσεβαν καὶ Ιεθραν καὶ Χαρραν
Anah’s son was Dishon. 1 Dishon’s sons were Hemdan (OR, Hamran), Eshban, Ithran, and Keran.
42 καὶ υἱοὶ Ωσαρ Βαλααν καὶ Ζουκαν καὶ Ιωκαν υἱοὶ Δαισων Ως καὶ Αρραν
Ezer’s sons were Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan (OR, Jaakan). Dishan’s sons were Uz and Aran.
43 καὶ οὗτοι οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν Βαλακ υἱὸς Βεωρ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Δενναβα
[These are the names of] the kings that ruled [the] Edom [region] before any kings ruled over Israel: Bela, the son of Beor, was king in Edom, and the name of the city [in which he lived] was Dinhabah.
44 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Βαλακ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Ιωβαβ υἱὸς Ζαρα ἐκ Βοσορρας
When Bela died, Jobab, the son of Zerah from Bozrah [city], became the king.
45 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ιωβαβ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Ασομ ἐκ τῆς γῆς Θαιμανων
When Jobab died, Husham became the king. He was from the region where the Teman people-group lived.
46 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ασομ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Αδαδ υἱὸς Βαραδ ὁ πατάξας Μαδιαμ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ Μωαβ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Γεθθαιμ
When Husham died, Hadad, the son of Bedad, became the king. He [ruled in] Avith city. Hadad’s [army] defeated [the army of the] Midian [people-group] in [the] Moab [region].
47 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Αδαδ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Σαμαα ἐκ Μασεκκας
When Hadad died, Samlah became the king. He was from Masrekah [town].
48 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Σαμαα καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Σαουλ ἐκ Ροωβωθ τῆς παρὰ ποταμόν
When Samlah died, Shaul became the king. He was from Rehoboth [city] along the [Euphrates] river.
49 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Σαουλ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Βαλαεννων υἱὸς Αχοβωρ
When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan, the son of Achbor, became the king.
50 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Βαλαεννων υἱὸς Αχοβωρ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Αδαδ υἱὸς Βαραδ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Φογωρ
When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad became the king. He was from Pau city. His wife’s name was Mehetabel; she was the daughter of Matred and the granddaughter of Me-Zahab.
51 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Αδαδ καὶ ἦσαν ἡγεμόνες Εδωμ ἡγεμὼν Θαμανα ἡγεμὼν Γωλα ἡγεμὼν Ιεθετ
Then Hadad died. The leaders of the clans of the Edom people-group were Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
52 ἡγεμὼν Ελιβαμας ἡγεμὼν Ηλας ἡγεμὼν Φινων
Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
53 ἡγεμὼν Κενεζ ἡγεμὼν Θαιμαν ἡγεμὼν Μαβσαρ
Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
54 ἡγεμὼν Μεγεδιηλ ἡγεμὼν Ηραμ οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Εδωμ
Magdiel, and Iram.
