< Κατα Μαρκον 7 >

1 και συναγονται προς αυτον οι φαρισαιοι και τινες των γραμματεων ελθοντες απο ιεροσολυμων
And ye pharises came togedder vnto him and dyvers of ye scribes which came from Ierusalem.
2 και ιδοντες τινας των μαθητων αυτου κοιναις χερσιν τουτ εστιν ανιπτοις εσθιοντας αρτους εμεμψαντο
And whe they sawe certayne of his disciples eate breed wt comen hondes (that is to saye wt vnwesshen hondes) they coplayned.
3 οι γαρ φαρισαιοι και παντες οι ιουδαιοι εαν μη πυγμη νιψωνται τας χειρας ουκ εσθιουσιν κρατουντες την παραδοσιν των πρεσβυτερων
For the pharises and all the Iewes excepte they washe their hondes ofte eate not observinge the tradicions of the elders.
4 και απο αγορας εαν μη βαπτισωνται ουκ εσθιουσιν και αλλα πολλα εστιν α παρελαβον κρατειν βαπτισμους ποτηριων και ξεστων και χαλκιων και κλινων
And whe they come from the market except they washe they eate not. And many other thinges ther be which they have taken apon them to observe as the wasshinge of cuppes and cruses and of brasen vessels and of tables.
5 επειτα επερωτωσιν αυτον οι φαρισαιοι και οι γραμματεις διατι ου περιπατουσιν οι μαθηται σου κατα την παραδοσιν των πρεσβυτερων αλλ ανιπτοις χερσιν εσθιουσιν τον αρτον
Then axed him the pharises and sribes why walke not thy disciples accordinge to ye tradicions of the elders but eate breede with vnweshen hondes?
6 ο δε αποκριθεις ειπεν αυτοις οτι καλως προεφητευσεν ησαιας περι υμων των υποκριτων ως γεγραπται ουτος ο λαος τοις χειλεσιν με τιμα η δε καρδια αυτων πορρω απεχει απ εμου
He answered and sayde vnto them: well prophesied Esaias of you ypocrites as it is writte: This people honoreth me with their lyppes but their hert is farre from me:
7 ματην δε σεβονται με διδασκοντες διδασκαλιας ενταλματα ανθρωπων
In vayne they worshippe me teachinge doctryns which are nothinge but ye comaundementes of men.
8 αφεντες γαρ την εντολην του θεου κρατειτε την παραδοσιν των ανθρωπων βαπτισμους ξεστων και ποτηριων και αλλα παρομοια τοιαυτα πολλα ποιειτε
For ye laye the commaundement of God aparte and observe the tradicions of men as the wesshinge of cruses and of cuppes and many other suche lyke thinges ye do.
9 και ελεγεν αυτοις καλως αθετειτε την εντολην του θεου ινα την παραδοσιν υμων τηρησητε
And he sayde vnto them: well ye cast asyde the comaundement of God to mayntayne youre owne tradicios.
10 μωυσης γαρ ειπεν τιμα τον πατερα σου και την μητερα σου και ο κακολογων πατερα η μητερα θανατω τελευτατω
For Moses sayde: Honoure thy father and thy mother: and whosoever cursseth father or mother let him dye for it.
11 υμεις δε λεγετε εαν ειπη ανθρωπος τω πατρι η τη μητρι κορβαν ο εστιν δωρον ο εαν εξ εμου ωφεληθης
But ye saye: a man shall saye to father or mother Corban: which is: that thou desyrest of me to helpe the with is geven God.
12 και ουκετι αφιετε αυτον ουδεν ποιησαι τω πατρι αυτου η τη μητρι αυτου
And so ye soffre him no more to do ought for his father or his mother
13 ακυρουντες τον λογον του θεου τη παραδοσει υμων η παρεδωκατε και παρομοια τοιαυτα πολλα ποιειτε
makinge the worde of God of none effecte through youre awne tradicions which ye have ordeyned. And many soche thinges ye do.
14 και προσκαλεσαμενος παντα τον οχλον ελεγεν αυτοις ακουετε μου παντες και συνιετε
And he called all the people vnto him and sayde vnto them: Herken vnto me every one of you and vnderstonde.
15 ουδεν εστιν εξωθεν του ανθρωπου εισπορευομενον εις αυτον ο δυναται αυτον κοινωσαι αλλα τα εκπορευομενα εστιν τα κοινουντα τον ανθρωπον
There is no thinge with out a man that can defyle him when it entreth into him: but thoo thinges which procede out of him are those which defyle ye man.
If eny man have eares to heare let him heare
17 και οτε εισηλθεν εις οικον απο του οχλου επηρωτων αυτον οι μαθηται αυτου περι της παραβολης
And whe he came to house awaye fro the people his disciples axed him of the similitude.
18 και λεγει αυτοις ουτως και υμεις ασυνετοι εστε ουπω νοειτε οτι παν το εξωθεν εισπορευομενον εις τον ανθρωπον ου δυναται αυτον κοινωσαι
And he sayd vnto the: Are ye so without vnderstondinge? Do ye not yet perceave yt whatsoever thinge from wt out entreth into a man it can not defyle him
19 οτι ουκ εισπορευεται αυτου εις την καρδιαν αλλ εις την κοιλιαν και εις τον αφεδρωνα εκπορευεται καθαριζον παντα τα βρωματα
because it entrith not in to his hert but into ye belly: and goeth out into the draught that porgeth oute all meates.
20 ελεγεν δε οτι το εκ του ανθρωπου εκπορευομενον εκεινο κοινοι τον ανθρωπον
And he sayde: yt defileth a ma which cometh oute of a man.
21 εσωθεν γαρ εκ της καρδιας των ανθρωπων οι διαλογισμοι οι κακοι εκπορευονται μοιχειαι πορνειαι φονοι
For fro wt in even oute of the herte of men proceade evill thoughtes: advantry fornicacion murder
22 κλοπαι πλεονεξιαι πονηριαι δολος ασελγεια οφθαλμος πονηρος βλασφημια υπερηφανια αφροσυνη
theeft coveteousnes wickednes diceyte vnclennes and a wicked eye blasphemy pryde folysshnes:
23 παντα ταυτα τα πονηρα εσωθεν εκπορευεται και κοινοι τον ανθρωπον
all these evyll thinges come from with in and defile a man.
24 και εκειθεν αναστας απηλθεν εις τα μεθορια τυρου και σιδωνος και εισελθων εις οικιαν ουδενα ηθελεν γνωναι και ουκ ηδυνηθη λαθειν
And from thence he rose and went into ye borders of Tyre and Sidon and entred into an housse and wolde that no man shnld have knowen: But he coulde not be hyd.
25 ακουσασα γαρ γυνη περι αυτου ης ειχεν το θυγατριον αυτης πνευμα ακαθαρτον ελθουσα προσεπεσεν προς τους ποδας αυτου
For a certayne woma whose doughter had a foule sprete hearde of him and came and fell at his fete.
26 η δε γυνη ην ελληνις συροφοινικισσα τω γενει και ηρωτα αυτον ινα το δαιμονιον εκβαλη εκ της θυγατρος αυτης
The woman was a Greke oute of Syrophenicia and she besought him yt he wolde caste out ye devyll oute of her doughter.
27 ο δε ιησους ειπεν αυτη αφες πρωτον χορτασθηναι τα τεκνα ου γαρ εστιν καλον λαβειν τον αρτον των τεκνων και τοις κυναριοις βαλειν
And Iesus sayde vnto her: let the chyldren fyrst be feed. For it is not mete to take the chyldres breed and to caste it vnto whelppes.
28 η δε απεκριθη και λεγει αυτω ναι κυριε και τα κυναρια υποκατω της τραπεζης εσθιουσιν απο των ψιχιων των παιδιων
She answered and sayde vnto him: even soo master neverthelesse the whelppes also eate vnder the table of the chyldrens cromes.
29 και ειπεν αυτη δια τουτον τον λογον υπαγε εξεληλυθεν το δαιμονιον εκ της θυγατρος σου
And he sayde vnto her: for this sayinge goo thy waye the devyll is gone out of thy doughter.
30 και απελθουσα εις τον οικον αυτης ευρεν το παιδιον βεβλημενον επι την κλινην και το δαιμονιον εξεληλυθος
And when she was come home to her housse she founde the devyll departed and her doughter lyinge on the beed.
31 και παλιν εξελθων εκ των οριων τυρου και σιδωνος ηλθεν προς την θαλασσαν της γαλιλαιας ανα μεσον των οριων δεκαπολεως
And he departed agayne from the coostes of Tyre and Sidon and came vnto the see of Galile thorowe ye middes of the coostos of ye. x. cities.
32 και φερουσιν αυτω κωφον μογιλαλον και παρακαλουσιν αυτον ινα επιθη αυτω την χειρα
And they brought vnto him one yt was deffe and stambred in his speche and prayde him to laye his honde apon him.
33 και απολαβομενος αυτον απο του οχλου κατ ιδιαν εβαλεν τους δακτυλους αυτου εις τα ωτα αυτου και πτυσας ηψατο της γλωσσης αυτου
And he toke him asyde from ye people and put his fyngers in his eares and dyd spyt and touched his tounge
34 και αναβλεψας εις τον ουρανον εστεναξεν και λεγει αυτω εφφαθα ο εστιν διανοιχθητι
and loked vp to heven and sygthed and sayde vnto him: ephatha that is to saye be openned.
35 και ευθεως διηνοιχθησαν αυτου αι ακοαι και ελυθη ο δεσμος της γλωσσης αυτου και ελαλει ορθως
And streyght waye his eares were openned and the stringe of his tounge was loosed and he spake playne.
36 και διεστειλατο αυτοις ινα μηδενι ειπωσιν οσον δε αυτος αυτοις διεστελλετο μαλλον περισσοτερον εκηρυσσον
And he comaunded them that they shuld tell no man. But the more he forbad them soo moche the more a greate deale they publesshed it:
37 και υπερπερισσως εξεπλησσοντο λεγοντες καλως παντα πεποιηκεν και τους κωφους ποιει ακουειν και τους αλαλους λαλειν
and were beyonde measure astonyed sayinge: He hath done all thinges well and hath made booth the deffe to heare and the dome to speake.
