Κατα Μαρκον 12
1 και ηρξατο αυτοις εν παραβολαις λεγειν αμπελωνα εφυτευσεν ανθρωπος και περιεθηκεν φραγμον και ωρυξεν υποληνιον και ωκοδομησεν πυργον και εξεδοτο αυτον γεωργοις και απεδημησεν
And He began to speak to them in allegories: “A man planted a vineyard, and put a hedge around, and dug a wine vat, and built a tower, and gave it out to farmers, and went abroad;
2 και απεστειλεν προς τους γεωργους τω καιρω δουλον ινα παρα των γεωργων λαβη απο του καρπου του αμπελωνος
and he sent to the farmers at the due time a servant, that from the farmers he may receive from the fruit of the vineyard,
3 και λαβοντες αυτον εδειραν και απεστειλαν κενον
and they, having taken him, severely beat [him], and sent him away empty.
4 και παλιν απεστειλεν προς αυτους αλλον δουλον κακεινον λιθοβολησαντες εκεφαλαιωσαν και απεστειλαν ητιμωμενον
And again he sent to them another servant, and having cast stones at that one, they wounded [him] in the head, and sent [him] away—dishonored.
5 και παλιν αλλον απεστειλεν κακεινον απεκτειναν και πολλους αλλους ους μεν δεροντες ους δε αποκτεννοντες
And again he sent another, and that one they killed; and many others, some beating, and some killing.
6 ετι ουν ενα υιον εχων αγαπητον αυτου απεστειλεν και αυτον εσχατον προς αυτους λεγων οτι εντραπησονται τον υιον μου
Having yet therefore one son—his beloved—he also sent him to them last, saying, They will respect my son;
7 εκεινοι δε οι γεωργοι θεασαμενοι αυτον ερχομενον προς εαυτους ειπον οτι ουτος εστιν ο κληρονομος δευτε αποκτεινωμεν αυτον και ημων εσται η κληρονομια
and those farmers said among themselves, This is the heir, come, we may kill him, and the inheritance will be ours;
8 και λαβοντες απεκτειναν αυτον και εξεβαλον αυτον εξω του αμπελωνος
and having taken him, they killed, and cast [him] forth outside the vineyard.
9 τι ουν ποιησει ο κυριος του αμπελωνος ελευσεται και απολεσει τους γεωργους τουτους και δωσει τον αμπελωνα αλλοις
What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.
10 ουδε την γραφην ταυτην ανεγνωτε λιθον ον απεδοκιμασαν οι οικοδομουντες ουτος εγενηθη εις κεφαλην γωνιας
And this Writing you did not read: A stone that the builders rejected, it became the head of a corner;
11 παρα κυριου εγενετο αυτη και εστιν θαυμαστη εν οφθαλμοις ημων
this was from the LORD, and it is wonderful in our eyes.”
12 και εζητουν αυτον κρατησαι και εφοβηθησαν τον οχλον εγνωσαν γαρ οτι προς αυτους την παραβολην ειπεν και αφεντες αυτον απηλθον
And they were seeking to lay hold on Him, and they feared the multitude, for they knew that He spoke the allegory against them, and having left Him, they went away;
13 και αποστελλουσιν προς αυτον τινας των φαρισαιων και των ηρωδιανων ινα αυτον αγρευσωσιν λογω
and they send to Him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, that they may ensnare Him in discourse,
14 οι δε ελθοντες λεγουσιν αυτω διδασκαλε οιδαμεν οτι αληθης ει και ου μελει σοι περι ουδενος ου γαρ βλεπεις εις προσωπον ανθρωπων αλλ επ αληθειας την οδον του θεου διδασκεις ειπον ουν ημιν εξεστιν δουναι κηνσον καισαρι η ου
and they having come, say to Him, “Teacher, we have known that You are true, and You are not caring for anyone, for You do not look to the face of men, but in truth teach the way of God; is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not? May we give, or may we not give?”
15 δωμεν η μη δωμεν ο δε ειδως αυτων την υποκρισιν ειπεν αυτοις τι με πειραζετε φερετε μοι δηναριον ινα ιδω
And He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you tempt Me? Bring Me a denarius, that I may see”;
16 οι δε ηνεγκαν και λεγει αυτοις τινος η εικων αυτη και η επιγραφη οι δε ειπον καισαρος
and they brought, and He says to them, “Whose [is] this image, and the inscription?” And they said to Him, “Caesar’s”;
17 και αποκριθεις ο ιησους ειπεν αυτοις αποδοτε τα καισαρος καισαρι και τα του θεου τω θεω και εθαυμασαν επ αυτω
and Jesus answering said to them, “Give back the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God”; and they wondered at Him.
18 και ερχονται σαδδουκαιοι προς αυτον οιτινες λεγουσιν αναστασιν μη ειναι και επηρωτων αυτον λεγοντες
And the Sadducees come to Him, who say there is not a resurrection, and they questioned Him, saying,
19 διδασκαλε μωυσης εγραψεν ημιν οτι εαν τινος αδελφος αποθανη και καταλιπη γυναικα και τεκνα μη αφη ινα λαβη ο αδελφος αυτου την γυναικα αυτου και εξαναστηση σπερμα τω αδελφω αυτου
“Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if anyone’s brother may die, and may leave a wife, and may leave no children, that his brother may take his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.
20 επτα ουν αδελφοι ησαν και ο πρωτος ελαβεν γυναικα και αποθνησκων ουκ αφηκεν σπερμα
There were then seven brothers, and the first took a wife, and dying, he left no seed;
21 και ο δευτερος ελαβεν αυτην και απεθανεν και ουδε αυτος [ ουκ ] αφηκεν σπερμα και ο τριτος ωσαυτως
and the second took her, and died, not having left seed, and the third in like manner,
22 και ελαβον αυτην οι επτα και ουκ αφηκαν σπερμα εσχατη παντων απεθανεν και η γυνη
and the seven took her, and left no seed, last of all the woman also died;
23 εν τη ουν αναστασει οταν αναστωσιν τινος αυτων εσται γυνη οι γαρ επτα εσχον αυτην γυναικα
in the resurrection, then, whenever they may rise, of which of them will she be wife—for the seven had her as wife?”
24 και αποκριθεις ο ιησους ειπεν αυτοις ου δια τουτο πλανασθε μη ειδοτες τας γραφας μηδε την δυναμιν του θεου
And Jesus answering said to them, “Do you not go astray because of this, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God?
25 οταν γαρ εκ νεκρων αναστωσιν ουτε γαμουσιν ουτε γαμιζονται αλλ εισιν ως αγγελοι [ οι ] εν τοις ουρανοις
For when they may rise out of the dead, they neither marry nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers who are in the heavens.
26 περι δε των νεκρων οτι εγειρονται ουκ ανεγνωτε εν τη βιβλω μωυσεως επι του βατου πως ειπεν αυτω ο θεος λεγων εγω ο θεος αβρααμ και ο θεος ισαακ και ο θεος ιακωβ
And concerning the dead, that they rise: have you not read in the Scroll of Moses (at the bush), how God spoke to him, saying, I [am] the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob;
27 ουκ εστιν ο θεος νεκρων αλλα ζωντων υμεις ουν πολυ πλανασθε
He is not the God of dead men, but a God of living men; you then go greatly astray.”
28 και προσελθων εις των γραμματεων ακουσας αυτων συζητουντων ιδων οτι καλως αυτοις απεκριθη επηρωτησεν αυτον ποια εστιν πρωτη παντων εντολη
And one of the scribes having come near, having heard them disputing, knowing that He answered them well, questioned Him, “Which is the first command of all?”
29 ο δε ιησους απεκριθη αυτω οτι πρωτη παντων εντολη ακουε ισραηλ κυριος ο θεος ημων κυριος εις εστιν
And Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commands—Hear, O Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD is one;
30 και αγαπησεις κυριον τον θεον σου εξ ολης της καρδιας σου και εξ ολης της ψυχης σου και εξ ολης της διανοιας σου και εξ ολης της ισχυος σου αυτη πρωτη εντολη
and you will love the LORD your God out of all your heart, and out of all your soul, and out of all your understanding, and out of all your strength—this [is] the first command;
31 και δευτερα ομοια αυτη αγαπησεις τον πλησιον σου ως εαυτον μειζων τουτων αλλη εντολη ουκ εστιν
and the second [is] like [it], this, You will love your neighbor as yourself—there is no other command greater than these.”
32 και ειπεν αυτω ο γραμματευς καλως διδασκαλε επ αληθειας ειπας οτι εις εστιν και ουκ εστιν αλλος πλην αυτου
And the scribe said to Him, “Well, Teacher, in truth You have spoken that there is one God, and there is none other but He;
33 και το αγαπαν αυτον εξ ολης της καρδιας και εξ ολης της συνεσεως και εξ ολης της ψυχης και εξ ολης της ισχυος και το αγαπαν τον πλησιον ως εαυτον πλειον εστιν παντων των ολοκαυτωματων και θυσιων
and to love Him out of all the heart, and out of all the understanding, and out of all the soul, and out of all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as one’s self, is more than all the whole burnt-offerings and the sacrifices.”
34 και ο ιησους ιδων οτι νουνεχως απεκριθη ειπεν αυτω ου μακραν ει απο της βασιλειας του θεου και ουδεις ουκετι ετολμα αυτον επερωτησαι
And Jesus, having seen him that he answered with understanding, said to him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God”; and no one dared question Him anymore.
35 και αποκριθεις ο ιησους ελεγεν διδασκων εν τω ιερω πως λεγουσιν οι γραμματεις οτι ο χριστος υιος δαυιδ εστιν
And Jesus answering said, teaching in the temple, “How do the scribes say that the Christ is son of David?
36 αυτος γαρ δαυιδ ειπεν εν πνευματι αγιω λεγει ο κυριος τω κυριω μου καθου εκ δεξιων μου εως αν θω τους εχθρους σου υποποδιον των ποδων σου
For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit on My right hand, Until I place Your enemies—Your footstool;
37 αυτος ουν δαυιδ λεγει αυτον κυριον και ποθεν υιος αυτου εστιν και ο πολυς οχλος ηκουεν αυτου ηδεως
therefore David himself calls Him Lord, and from where is He his son?” And the great multitude were hearing Him gladly,
38 και ελεγεν αυτοις εν τη διδαχη αυτου βλεπετε απο των γραμματεων των θελοντων εν στολαις περιπατειν και ασπασμους εν ταις αγοραις
and He was saying to them in His teaching, “Beware of the scribes who will to walk in long robes, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39 και πρωτοκαθεδριας εν ταις συναγωγαις και πρωτοκλισιας εν τοις δειπνοις
and first seats in the synagogues, and first couches at the banquets,
40 οι κατεσθιοντες τας οικιας των χηρων και προφασει μακρα προσευχομενοι ουτοι ληψονται περισσοτερον κριμα
who are devouring the widows’ houses, and for a pretense are making long prayers; these will receive more abundant judgment.”
41 και καθισας ο ιησους κατεναντι του γαζοφυλακιου εθεωρει πως ο οχλος βαλλει χαλκον εις το γαζοφυλακιον και πολλοι πλουσιοι εβαλλον πολλα
And Jesus having sat down opposite the treasury, was beholding how the multitude puts brass into the treasury, and many rich were putting in much,
42 και ελθουσα μια χηρα πτωχη εβαλεν λεπτα δυο ο εστιν κοδραντης
and having come, a poor widow put in two mites, which are a penny.
43 και προσκαλεσαμενος τους μαθητας αυτου ειπεν αυτοις αμην λεγω υμιν οτι η χηρα η πτωχη αυτη πλειον παντων εβαλεν των βαλλοντων εις το γαζοφυλακιον
And having called near His disciples, He says to them, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those putting into the treasury;
44 παντες γαρ εκ του περισσευοντος αυτοις εβαλον αυτη δε εκ της υστερησεως αυτης παντα οσα ειχεν εβαλεν ολον τον βιον αυτης
for all, out of their abundance, put in, but she, out of her want, put in all that she had—all her living.”
