< Jaki 1 >
1 Min jaki, u tienu yeni jesu kilisito naaciemo, n diani yinba piig n buolilie yaaba n yadi yadi ke ye ŋanduna nni kuli po, n fuodi bonŋanla.
JAKUB, a servant of Aloha and of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, unto the twelve tribes who are dispersed among the nations: Peace.
All joy shall be to you, my brethren, when you shall have entered into temptations many and various.
3 Kelima i bani ke dandanli bignma ba cua yeni i juunli.
For you know that the proving of faith maketh you to possess patience;
4 Ama yin ŋaa ke li juunli n sɔni o tuonli ke juodi cain. ke yin tua ke yaabi n ŋani ke dagdi cain, ki da ke luo ba bonli kuli.
but to patience let there be a perfect work, that you may be complete and perfected, and in nothing be deficient.
5 I siigan, nilo ya ke pia mi yanfuoma wan mia u tienu yua tieni bi niba kuli yeni li bulcindi, o kan fun yeni, o ba teni.
If any of you be deficient in wisdom, let him ask of Aloha, who giveth to all expansively, and upbraideth not, and it is given to him.
But let him ask in faith, not wavering. For he who wavereth is like the waves of the sea which the wind disturbeth.
And let not that man expect to receive any thing from the Lord,
8 O tie pala lie daano ke se kaan yendu o bontitiedin kuli.
who is divided in his mind, and disturbed in all his ways.
9 Ti kpiiba nni yua n tie luodo pali n ya mani yeni u tien'o n sen'o maama.
But let the humble brother glory in his exaltation,
10 Yua n tie piado mɔ pali n ya mani yeni u tienu n jiin'o maama, kelima o ba kpe nani o mua puugu yeni.
and the rich in his humility; for as the flower of an herb, so he passeth.
For the sun ariseth in his heat, and drieth the herb, and the flower of it falleth, and the beauty of its appearance perisheth; so also the rich withereth in his reverses.
12 Li pamanli ye yeni yua n fidi ki juuni li biginlin nni, kelima bi ya bigno, li kan paadi'o, oba la li miali yali ke kilisito yedi ko ba teni yabi n bua'og yeni.
Blessed the man who endureth temptations: for when he hath been proved he shall receive the crown of life, which Aloha hath promised unto them who love him.
Let no man say, when he is tempted, From Aloha I am tempted; for Aloha is not tempted with evils, and he no man tempteth.
14 Nilo kuli tunlini yeni o maalma, ke kua ti biidin ke li baadi yeni mi kuuma.
But each man from his concupiscence tempteth himself, and desireth, and is drawn away.
And this desire conceiveth and beareth sin; and sin, when it is perfected, beareth death.
16 N kpibuadiba, yin da bɔndi mani i yula.
Do not err, my beloved brethren;
17 Li seli yeniya paabu ŋani ñana polu, mi yinyiema baa kani, naani ke bɔnbɔnli, yeni lebdima ki ye.
every good gift and perfect from above descendeth, from the Father of lights, with whom is no alteration, nor the shadow of vicissitude.
18 U tienu yanbuama po i, ko den mal'ti, kelima o mɔnmɔni po ke tin ya tie o tagma nni kuli o kpiagdi.
He willed, and begat us by the word of truth, that we might be the first-ones of his creatures.
And you, my beloved brethren, let every one of you be swift to hear, and slow to speak, and slow to be angry;
20 Kelima o nisaalo pabienli kan fidi ki yeg yeni u tienu sanu.
for the wrath of man the righteousness of Aloha worketh not.
21 Lan wani, yin lu mani yaali n tie jɔgindi yeni mi biadima kuli, ke ya ŋua u tienu n buliya maama i pala nni yeni kelima li ba fidi ki tindi i maalma
Wherefore, remove from you all impurity and the abounding of wickedness, and with meekness receive the word which is engrafted in our nature, which is able to save your souls.
BUT be doers of the word, and not hearers only, neither deceive yourselves.
23 Kelima yua n cengi u tienu maama ke nan k tiendi lan buali yaali yua n nua o nungo n tie maama e nunualiga nni.
For if a man be a hearer of the word and not a doer of it, this (man) is like one who vieweth his face in a mirror;
24 O ya siedi wan sundi tonitoni.
for he seeth himself and passeth, and hath forgotten what (manner of person) he was.
25 Ama yua n cengi bonŋanla ya balimaama n ŋani cain, ki faabi bi niba, ki tiani wan cengi yaali, ki tiendi lan yedi yaali, lan nilo la li seli wan tiendi yaal kuli nni.
But every one who looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he is not a hearer of the hearing of forgetfulness, but a doer of works; and this shall be blessed in his work.
26 O nilo ya tama ko juuni ke naa cuo u lanbu, o bɔndi o yuli. Lan ya nilo ya jaanma tie fanfanmi.
And if a man thinketh that he serveth Aloha, and holdeth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, of this man his service is vain.
27 Ya jaanma ŋani cain, ke nan ke pia jɔngindi ti baa u tienu nintualin tie: ki ya todi a kpieba yeni a pikuana bi fala nni ke gɔa cuo oba yeni ŋanduna jɔngindi.
For the service which is pure and true before Aloha the Father, is this, to visit the orphans and widows in their afflictions, and that a man keep himself from the world without blemish.
