< 1 Pieri 2 >

1 Laani yaapo, yin ŋaa n biadima yen bond buol kul, palalie malm, l poponl yen ti sugid buol kul.
Laying aside therefore all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envyings and all evil speakings,
2 Nani a canpandaa nbua n bim yinb n yaa bua naaŋanma n tie O tienu.
as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Li yaa tie ke, yi leni ki laa k O tien ŋaan.
if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord [is] good.
4 Nagman O tienu kan ya tanl n fo ki binub lun kO tienu gand line, ke li pia mayul boncianl.
To whom coming, a living stone, cast away indeed as worthless by men, but with God chosen, precious,
5 Yin b yaab moa tie nan ya tana n fo ten baa maa yi yin tua O tien fuom diegu. O fuom n ye naan kan. lan yi baa tua yaasalayidlo ngagd O tienu po, k pad o po yaa pad n pagidi, ki go man o po, kelma Yesu kristo yaa po
yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Li dian ki yed: Diid n bli siyon dogu nni li tanpuukal, min gand yaal ki ltie tanmonl yua n dug li tanl yen po kul kan fiag. yen l tingbal tancianl.
Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Laa tanl tie jingd yinb yaab n daan po. Ama yaab n kaa daan po wan, l tie b tan maab n den yie yaa tanl, lan n tua l tan puukaal.
To you therefore who believe [is] the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of [the] corner,
8 B tuud klma baa tuo k daan o tienu maam. k b ji ba li tund k ya tie yene.
and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; [who] stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ama yinb wan, yi tie ban den gand yaa buolu, o bad o salayidla, yaa buolu n gagd k ŋan, wan baa yaa buolu yucel po. o yin yin k yin yi ña l biigl ni, k kua o yenm.
But ye [are] a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ji den kpel ki tie o buolu ama mɔlanne k ji tie o buolu, yii den kpel baa k o gbad ji po nuñima, ama moala o gbad yi po n nuñima.
who once [were] not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 N buakaab n mia k go tund yi, yinb yaab n tie camba yen b canb ŋanduna ni, k yin yaa yied k da tiend o toabu yen yi maalmma.
Beloved, I exhort [you], as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Yin ya pia o yinyienu ŋaamu yen yaban k ban o tienu sigin. lan wan b ya mad k tien yaal n bia, ban la e tundŋama k kpiagd o tienu, o cuam daal.
having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that [as to that] in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through [your] good works, [themselves] witnessing [them], glorify God in [the] day of visitation.
13 Lan wan, yin yaa jind yi yula klma yomdan po, b nuba n din ya bol danba kul kan, la tie n diem bad.
Be in subjection [therefore] to every human institution for the Lord's sake; whether to [the] king as supreme,
14 B gobnanba kan wan soan yaaba ban yaa pa e tagl danba b biadman panpaani, k yaa pag yaab n tiend yaal n tiel mɔa.
or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 klma, otienu bua k yin yaa tiend yaal n ŋan yeni, k fid k mumɔni b yanbaandamb yen b yanbidanb ñoana.
Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 yin pia n yam, k ji da tie n yam ya kpiagd n ba tie n biadm, ama yin yaa tie nan o tienu naacenb.
as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Yingni b niaalba kul, k bua yi lieb, yaa jie man o tienu, k conl ni o bado.
Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Yinb b naacenb, yin yaa fangi yi canbaanb, k miid y yula b kan, laa tie yaab n ŋan k go ding bebe kan ka, ba yaaba yaa yama n pa mal ya kan.
Servants, [be] subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 B ya faligid o mial k waa pia tagil, k o tuo k gaa klma o fang o tienu, l tie yaa bonl n ŋan.
For this [is] acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 bi ya faligi yi klma yi tiend t tuonbiad k yijuun, l baa cuan yi po be yaa pagd? ama ya tiend yaal ŋan k b falii, k yi juun l tie yaa bonl ŋan o tienu nintual.
For what glory [is it], if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear [it]? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear [it], this is acceptable with God.
21 o tienu den yin yi lan yaa po, klma kilisu wan oba modo den laa fala yinb yaa po, k ŋaa yi lisan tong buol, k yin yaa ŋua o ya fuunu.
For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Wan, waa den tien tuonbiad kul, baa den gbad bandugu o ñoabu ni.
who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ban den sugo ya yogunu, waa den ñian. ban den falgd o ya yogunu, waa den fun yenba. ama o den tend o yul yua n jiag t buud yen n tegm.
who, [when] reviled, reviled not again; [when] suffering, threatened not; but gave [himself] over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 wan yua n den tug ti tuonbid o gbanand ni o daagu po, k tinb yaa n kpe ti tuonbiad po yeni n ya ye k fo k baa tiend t ŋand, l tie klma o yied ya po k yi paag.
who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Yi den tie nan yape n bod yen, ama moala yi guan yi yankpaagamo kan, wan yi guud ka ya kan.
For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
