Matio 22
1 Jesu go den pua ba mi kpanjama ki yedi:
Jesus answered and spoke to them again in parables, and said,
2 Tanpoli diema baa tie nani yaa bado n den hanbi o bijua potaajiema.
The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage-feast for his son,
3 O den soani o naacenba ban yini wan den yini yaaba laa potaajiema po, ama bi den yie baa cua.
and sent forth his servants to call to the feast those who had been invited; and they would not come.
4 O go den soani naacentoaba ki yedi: Yin waani mani min yini yaaba ke n hanbi mi jiema ki gbeni, ki kodi n ne leni n yanwubiditi ki hanbi ki gbeni. Ban ji cua mi potaajiema po ne.
Again, he sent other servants, saying, Tell those who have been invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready; come to the feast.
5 Ama wan den yini yaaba yeni den fali o yiinu, ki fii ki gedi bi kaani, one n gedi o kuanu po, one mo o kpendu,
But they made light of it, and went away; one to his farm, another to his merchandise.

And the rest seized his servants, and ill-treated and slew them.

And the king was enraged; and sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
8 Lanwani o den yedi naacentoaba: Mi potaajiema hanbi ki gbeni, ama min den yini yaaba naa pundi ki je ma.
Then saith he to his servants, The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
9 yin gedi mani ya sani n pia bi niba boncianla nni ki yini yin la yaaba kuli ban cua mi potaajiema po.
Go therefore into the thoroughfares, and as many as ye find, invite to the feast.
10 bi naacenba yeni den kua i sani nni ki taani ban laa yaaba kuli, bi nibiadiba leni bi nihanba kuli, yeni mi potaajiema dieli den gbie bi niba.
So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all, as many as they found, both bad and good; and the bride-chamber was fully furnished with guests.
11 O bado n den kua ke o baa la yaaba n cua o yiini, o den la niyendo ke waa la mi potaajiema ya tiadi.
And the king, coming in to view the guests, saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment;

and he saith to him, Friend, how camest thou in here, not having a wedding garment? And he was struck dumb.
13 O bado den yedi naacenba: Loli mani o taana leni o buadi ki lu o niinnpo li biigili nni, a bubula leni mi ñincegima n baa ye naankani.
Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness; there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
14 Jesu den juodi ki yedi: Ban yini yaaba yaba, ma ban gandi yaaba wa.
For many are called, but few are chosen.

Then the Pharisees went and consulted together how l they might ensnare him in speech.

And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, and thou carest for no one; for thou regardest not the person of men.
17 Lani yaa po waani ti amo n sua yaala. Naani li pia u sanu tin pa Loma badiciamo Sesa li lubili bi, bi laa pia?
Tell us, therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

But Jesus, perceiving their wickedness, said, Why are ye trying me, hypocrites?
19 Min la yin baa pa yaa ligi li lubili yeni? Bi den teni o li kujapienli.
Show me the tribute money. And they brought to him a denary.
20 O den buali ba: Hme yaa nannanli leni hme yaa diani nne?
And Jesus saith to them, Whose is this image and inscription?
21 Bi den goa ki yedi o: Sesa yaali yo. Lani o den yedi ba: Lanwani, pa mani Sesa, yaala n tie Sesa yaala, ki pa U Tienu mo, yaala n tie U Tienu yaa yaala.
They say, Caesar's. Then saith he to them, Render then to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.

And hearing this, they wondered, and left him, and went away.

The same day there came to him Sadducees, saying that there is no resurrection; and they asked him,

saying, Teacher, Moses said, “If a man die having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.”
25 To, ti siiga nni jaba lele den ye ki taa baayendo. O bonkpelo den taa o pua ki kpe. Wan ki den baa buolu yeni, o waalo den taa o kpepuoli.
Now there were with us seven brothers; and the first married and died; and, having no offspring, left his wife to his brother.

And so also the second, and the third, even to the seventh.
27 Bikuli n den kpekpe, o pua mo den yuandi ki kpe.
And last of all the woman died.
28 Lanwani, bi tinkpiba fiima yogunu, bani bonba lele yeni siiga, o pua yeni nan baa tie hme yaa yua yo? Kelima bi niinni yendo yendo kuli den taa o ke o tua o pua.
In the resurrection, then, of which of the seven will she be the wife? For they all had her.
29 Jesu den goa ki yedi ba: Yi tudi kelima yii bani i Diani, yii bani U Tienu paaciamu mo.
Jesus answered and said to them, Ye err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 Kelima bi tinkpiba fiima yogunu, bi jaba kan go taa puoba, puoba mo kan go kuni jaba, bi baa tie nani malekinba yeni tanpoli po.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
31 Yaala n tie bi tinkpiba fiima yaa maama fuuli po mo, naani yii cogi U Tienu n yedi yaala ne:
But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
32 N tie Abalahama Tienu, Isaaka Tienu leni Jakobo Tienu? To, U Tienu mo naa tie a kpiema Tienu ka, o tie yaaba n fo yaa Tienu yo.
“I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob”? He is not a God of the dead, but of the living.
33 Ku niligu den gbadi Jesu bangima ke li paki ba.
And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.
34 Falisieninba n den gbadi ke Jesu mubini Sadusieninba ñoana, bi den taani o kani.
And the Pharisees, hearing that he had put the Sadducees to silence, assembled together;

and one of them, a lawyer, asked, trying him,
36 Canba, li balimaama nni mile n cie?
Teacher, which commandment is great in the Law?
37 Jesu den goa ki yedi o: Han bua o Diedo a Tienu leni a pali kuli, leni a miali kuli, li
And he said to him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
38 balimaama nni mine n cie ki tie li mayuli.
This is the great and first commandment.
39 Yaama n hua ma mo ki naani leni ma tie mine: Han yaa bua a nisaalilielo nani han bua a yuli maama yeni.
There is a second like it: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
40 Li balimaama leni bi sawapuaba maama kuli maa laa maliedima po yo.
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
41 Falisieniniba n den taani, Jesu den buali ba:
And while the Pharisees were assembled, Jesus asked them,
42 Yi tama be yo U Tienu n Gandi Yua po? Bi den goa ki yedi o: O tie Dafidi bijua.
saying, What think ye concerning the Christ? whose son is he? They say to him, David's.
43 Jesu den yedi ba: Li yaa tie yeni, li nan ga lede ke mi Fuoma den teni ke Dafidi maadi o maama ki yini o o Diedo, wan den yedi:
He saith to them, How then doth David in the Spirit call him lord? saying,
44 O Diedo den yedi n Diedo: Kali n jienu po hali min baa guli a yibalinba han hmaa ba.
“The Lord said to my lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I put thine enemies under thy feet.”
45 Dafidi oba yini o o Diedo, li nan go ga lede ke o tie Dafidi bijua?
If David then calleth him lord, how is he his son?

And no one was able to answer him a word; nor durst any one from that day question him any more.
