< Luka 7 >

After he had finished speaking in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
2 Mintela kobiga yudaano yendo den ye ki pia o naacemo ke o tie opo numoano, ke o yia ŋali ki bua ki kpe.
A certain centurion's servant, who was dear to him, was sick and at the point of death.
When he heard about Jesus, he sent to him Jewish elders, asking him to come and save his servant.
When they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, "He is worthy for you to do this for him,
5 kelima o bua ti buolu. Wani n maa tipo li balimaama bangima dieli.”
for he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us."
6 Jesu den yegi leni ba ki caa. Wan den kuli a minteela yudaano diegu, o den tuogi wan den soani o danlinba yaaba o kani ke ban yedi o: “N daano, da coagi a yuli, mii pundi ŋan kua n dieli nni.
Jesus went with them. When he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof.
7 Lanyaapo moko n teni ke mii sua ke li pundi min cua a kani mini nba. Maadi a maama bebe, n naacemo baa paagi.
Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed.
8 Mini yua ke nitoaba die nni, n moko pia min die ya minteela. n yen yedi one: 'Gedi,' wan gedi, ki yedi o yua mo: 'Cua na,' wan cua. N yen yedi n naacemo: 'Tieni line,' wan tieni.”
For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, 'Go.' and he goes; and to another, 'Come.' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
When Jesus heard these things, he was amazed at him, and turned and said to the crowd who followed him, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel."
10 Wan den soani yaaba n den lebidi ki pundi denpo, bi den sua ke ya naacemo n bi yia yeni pia laafia.
And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant in good health.
11 Lani n pendi Jesu den gedi Nayina dogu. O ŋoadikaaba leni nigocianli den yegi leni o.
It happened soon afterwards, that he went to a city called Nain; and many of his disciples, along with a large crowd, went with him.
12 Jesu n den nagini u dogu bilinciamu buliñoajabu, o den tuogi yaaba n ñani lienni ki tugi o kpiemo ki baan piini. Yua n kpe yeni den tie o naa tugu nni bonjayenyenga, ke o naa mo tie kpepuoli. U dogu yaaba boncianla den yegi leni o.
And when he drew near to the gate of the city, then look, a man who was dead was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a large crowd from the city was with her.
13 O Diedo n den laa o, mi niŋima den cuo o opo ke o yedi: “Da buudi.”
When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, "Do not cry."
14 O den nagini ki sii ku tinkpikpagu. Yaaba n tugi den sedi. O den yedi: “O jawaalo na, n yedi a: 'Fii.'”
He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, "Young man, I tell you, arise."
15 Lani yua kpe yeni den fii ki kali ki maadi. Jesu den teni o o naa.
He who was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.
16 Li fangicianli den cuo laa niba kuli, bi den kpiagidi U Tienu ki tua: “O sawalipuaciamo fii ti siiga. U Tienu goandi o nibuolu.”
Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us." and, "God has visited his people."
17 Jesu n den tieni yaala yeni kuli ya maama den yadi Jude nni leni ya tinmu n lindi kuli.
This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea, and in all the surrounding region.
18 Jan ŋoadikaaba den togidi o laa bonla kuli.
The disciples of John told him about all these things.
John, calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to the Lord, saying, "Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?"
20 Bi jaba yeni n den pundi Jesu kani bi den yedi o: “Jan Batisi n soani ti a kani ke tin buali a fini n ya tie tin gu yua ya cuama bi, bi ke ti da go ya baa daani nitoa yo?”
When the men had come to him, they said, "John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, 'Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?'"
21 Lanyogunu Jesu den paagi a yiama leni a tadima leni mu cicibiadimu n die yaaba kuli boncianla, ki go noadi a juama moko boncianla.
In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight.
Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
23 Li pamanli ye leni min kaa tie yua yaapo tingbali bonla.”
Blessed is he who is not offended by me."
When John's messengers had departed, he began to tell the crowds about John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
25 To, yi nan den gedi ki ban laa be? Yua n bobi ti tiaŋandi bi? Diidi ki le mani yaaba n yie ti tiaŋandi wani ye bi badicianba diedi nni.
But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Look, those who are gorgeously dressed, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
26 Yi nan den li gedi ki baa le be? O sawalipualo bi? Yeni de, ama n waani yi ke yin ban laa yua cie ba sawalipualo.
But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.
27 Wani yaapo yo ke li diani ki yedi: 'Diidi, n soani n tondo a liiga, ke wan ŋanbi a sanu.'
This is he of whom it is written, 'Look, I send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.'
28 N go yedi yi ke pua n mali yua kuli, yua n cie Jan ki ye. Ama yua n wa ki cie bi kuli U Tienu diema nni, wani n yaba ki cie o.
"I tell you, among those who are born of women there is none greater than John, yet he who is least in the Kingdom of God is greater than he."
When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John's baptism.
30 Ama Falisieninba leni li balimaama bangikaaba n den yie ke Jan kan batisi ba yeni, bi den yie U Tienu n den jagi ki bili bipo yaala.”
But the Pharisees and the Law scholars rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.
31 Jesu den pugini ki yedi: “N baa nandi moala na nuba leni be? Bi naani leni be?
"To what then will I liken the people of this generation? What are they like?
Ti yiini yipo i kuyani, yi naa buudi.'
They are like children who sit in the marketplace, and call one to another, saying, 'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance. We mourned, and you did not weep.'
33 Kelima Jan Batisi cua, waa di jiema, waa ñu duven mo, ke yi tua: 'O pia ki cicibiadiga.'
For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, 'He has a demon.'
The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, 'Look, a gluttonous man, and a drunkard; a friend of tax collectors and sinners.'
35 Yaaba n tuo U Tienu yanfuoma kuli saa i moamoani ke mi tiegi.”
Wisdom is justified by all her children."
36 Falisieninba siiga yendo den yini Jesu wan je leni o. Jesu den kua o diegu nni ki kali u saajekaanu kani.
One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee's house, and sat at the table.
37 O pua den ye u dogu nni ke o tagu bia.
And look, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of ointment.
Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, "This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner."
Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to tell you." He said, "Teacher, say on."
41 Jesu den yedi o: “O pandinlo den ye ki pia pandanba lie. One den kubi opo kujapiena kobi muu, o lielo mo kujapiena piimuu.
"A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
When they could not pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?"
43 Simono den goa ki yedi o: “N tama wan cabi yua ke o panli yaba ki cie yene.” Jesu den yedi o: “A saa i moamoani.”
Simon answered, "He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most." He said to him, "You have judged correctly."
44 Lani o den gbegi ki diidi o pua yeni ki go yedi Simono: “A laa o pua na? Min kua a dieli nni, ŋaa puni nni ñima ke n nigidi n taana, ama wani, o nigidi n taana leni o ninsiidi ki go duuni a leni o yudi.
Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.
You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.
You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Lanyaapo n yedi a ke wan bua nni boncianla yeni doagidi ke o baa sugili o tuonbiadi yaadi n yaba po.
Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."
48 O den yedi o pua mo: “A baa a tuonbiadi sugili.”
He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."
And those who were reclining with him began to say to themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?"
50 Jesu go den yedi o pua yeni: “A dandanli faabi a, fii ki ya caa leni mi yanduanma.”
He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."
