Jesu Tondiba Tuona 6
1 Laa dana nni, Jesu hoadikaaba coali den pugida, ke yaa jufinba n maadi gileka maama den yenbidi jufinba po, kelima bi den fali bi kpepuona daali kuli jiema boagidima po.
And in those days, when the disciples had become numerous, the Grecian disciples murmured against the Hebrew, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration to the needy.
2 Bi piiga n niliediba den yini ku niligu ki yedi: Laa dagidi tin ha U Tienu maama ki yaa boagidi mi jiema.
And the twelve legates convoked the whole company of the disciples, and said to them: It is not proper, that we should neglect the word of God, and serve tables.
3 Lani ya po n kpiiba gandi mani yi siiga jaba lele, ban tiedi yaaba yaa po o siedi-hamo, ki gbie leni U Tienu Fuoma yua leni mi yanfuoma, tin tuni ba laa tuonli.
Therefore brethren, search out, and elect from among you, seven men of whom there is good testimony, men full of the Spirit of the Lord, and of wisdom; that we may place them over this business:
4 Ama tinba wani ti baa pa ti yula i jaandi leni U Tienu maama wangima po.
and we will continue in prayer, and in the ministration of the word.
5 Laa jagili den mangi li nitaanli kuli. Bi den gandi Etiena yuan gbie leni li dandanli leni U Tienu Fuomi yua. Filipi, Pilokolo, Nikanola, Timono, Pamenasa leni Nikolasa yua n den tie nilamo Antiosa yua.
And this proposal was acceptable before all the people. And they elected Stephen, a man who was full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas an Antiochian proselyte.
6 Bi den cuani ba bi tondiba kani, ban den jaandi ki gbeni bi den maani bi nii bipo.
These stood before the legates; and when they had prayed, they laid the hand on them.
7 U Tienu maama den yayadi ki pugidi, Jesu hoadikaaba den pugidi hali boncianla Jelusema, bikopadicianba siiga mo boncianla den tuodi ki hoa Jesu.
And the word of God increased, and the number of disciples was enlarged at Jerusalem greatly; and many people from among the Jews, were obedient to the faith.
8 Etiena den gbie leni U Tienu hanbili leni u paalu, ki tiedi bi niba siiga mi bancianma leni sinankenciami.
And Stephen was full of grace and energy; and he wrought signs and prodigies among the people.
9 Bi nitianba yaaba n tie li balimaama bangima dieyenli yaaba, ban yi yaaba bi nifaabikaaba, den fii ki nia leni Etiena. bi den tie ya jufinba n ñani silena leni Alesandili dogu nni, leni yaaba n ñani silisi leni Asi ya diema nni kuli.
And there rose up some of the synagogue which is called that of the freed men, Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and persons from Cilicia and from Asia; and they disputed with Stephen.
10 U Tienu Fuoma den puni Etiena mi yanfuoma ke o maadi ke bi kan den fidi ki nia leni o.
And they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit that spoke by him.
11 Lane bi den suu bi jaba li suuli ke bi pua o po mi faama ki yedi: Ti gbadi ke o maadi ti masugidi Musa po leni U Tienu po.
Then they sent men, and instructed them to say: We have heard him speak words of blasphemy, against Moses and against God.
12 Bi den lengidi bi niba leni bi nikpeliba leni li balimaama bangikaaba yama. Lani bi dencua ki bibi Etiena ki cuo o ki gedini o bicancannikpeliba taancianli po.
And they excited the people, and the Elders, and the Scribes; and they came, and rose upon him, and seized him, and carried him into the midst of the council.
13 Bi go den teni ke bi siedi-faadanba pua o po mi faama ki yedi: O naajoa sugidi u naa kaangagidi hamu, ki go sugidi li bali maama kaacedi.
And they set up false witnesses, who said: This man ceaseth not to utter words contrary to the law, and against this holy place.
14 Ti go den gbadi ke o yedi ke Jesu, Nasaleti yua yeni, baa bolini U Tienu diegu na ki lebidi Musa n den bili ti po yaa bogida.
For we have heard him say, that this Jesus the Nazarean will destroy this place, and will change the rites which Moses delivered to you.
15 Bi cancan-nikpeliba yaaba n den ka bi taancianli kani kuli den diidi Etiena, ki la ke nunga tie nani maleeki yaa nunga yeni.
And all they who were sitting in the council looked upon him, and they beheld his face, as the face of an angel.
