1 YI bani yinba yiba, ti kpiiba, ke ti cuama yi siiga naa den tie fanma.
For you yourselves know, brothers, our visit to you was not in vain,
but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we grew bold in our God to tell you the Good News of God in much conflict.
3 Tin den tundi yi ya tundi naa den ŋua leni boandi, bi len yantiajoagindi ba bi leni janbi mo.
For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in deception.
But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News, so we speak; not as pleasing people, but God, who tests our hearts.
5 Yi bani boŋanl ke tin den ye yi siiga tii den maadi yipo mi mamanma ka. Tii den pia ŋalimani buama yantiali mo, u TIENU tie ti siedo lankuli po.
For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed (God is witness),
6 Tii den lingi ya kpiagidi n ǹani bi nisaaliba kani, bi yi ya kani bi nitoaba kani.
nor seeking glory from people (neither from you nor from others), when we might have claimed authority as emissaries of Messiah.
But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother cherishes her own children.
8 Li den mani tipo ke ti waani yi o labaaliŋamo kelima tin den pia yipo ya buama. laa tie lani bebe ka, ti den bua ki pa yi ba ti yula moko lelima ti buama yi po den pundi ŋali laa bianu.
Even so, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you, not the Good News of God only, but also our own souls, because you had become very dear to us.
For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail; for working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the Good News of God.
10 Yinba leni u TIENU kuli tie tipo siedi, ke ti den pia ya tagi n gagidi ki go tiegi ki naa pia ban ba fidi ki kuli ti leni yaala yinba yaaba n daani ya siiga.
You are witnesses with God, how holy, righteously, and blamelessly we behaved ourselves toward you who believe.
11 Yi go bani ke ti den ye yi siiga ki tie yuakuli po nani o jamado n tie o bila po maama.
As you know, as a father with his own children,
we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you to lead a life worthy of God, who calls you into his own Kingdom and glory.
13 Li tie lani yaapo ke yogumu kuli ti tuondi u TIENU kelima yin den ga tin den wangi u TIENU maama yama. Yii den ga ma nani mi tie bi nisaaliba maama ka, ama yi den gaa ma nani man tie maama i moamoani. Lani n tie u TIENU maama yaama n tuuni yinba yaaba n tuo ki daani ya siiga.
For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as a human word, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also works in you who believe.
14 N kpiiba yi den ŋoadi u TIENU n yini yaaba nitaana ya n ye JUDE po ki ye JESU nni ya fuuli: kelima yi dogu yaaba den waani yi fala nani bi ya dogu yaaba Jufinba n den waani ba fala maama.
For you, brothers, became imitators of the congregations of God which are in Judea in Messiah Yeshua; for you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they did from the Judeans;
15 Bani n go den ku o DIEDO JESU leni bi sawalipuaba. Bi waani ti moko falabiado, baa tiendi yaala n mangidi u TIENU pali, bi go tie bi niba kuli yibalinba.
who killed both the Lord Yeshua and the prophets, and drove us out, and did not please God, and are hostile to all people;
forbidding us to speak to those who are not Jewish that they may be saved; to fill up their sins always. But wrath has come on them to the uttermost.
17 N kpiiba, ti den paadi leni yi o yogunu waamu ti nuni po ke laa tie ti yantiana nni ka, ti go den bua ŋali boŋanla ki le yi nunmu, ki moandi lipo moko.
But we, brothers, being bereaved of you for a short season, in presence, not in heart, tried even harder to see your face with great desire,
18 ti go den bua ki guani yi kani, laa luo taalima lie ke mini POLO den moandi, ama sutaani den yie tipo.
because we wanted to come to you—indeed, I, Paul, once and again—but Satan hindered us.
19 Lanwani ŋmee n tie ti suginma, ti pamanli leni ti kpiagidi badifogiliga? naani laa tie yinba ka, ti DIEDO JESU nintuali o ya guani ki cua ya yogunu?
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you, before our Lord Yeshua at his coming?
20 Yeni de yinba n tie ti kpiagidi leni ti pamanli.
For you are our glory and our joy.
