< 1 Kolinta 10 >
1 N kpiiba mii bua ke yaala n den tieni ti yaajanba n ya boani yi: Ku tawaligu den yiini bikuli po, bikuli den duodi mi ñincianma.
Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 Bikuli den baa mi batisima Musa niinini ku tawaligu nni leni mi ñincianma nni.
and were all baptised into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 Bikuli den di jeyenma yaama n ña U Tienu kani,
and all ate the same spiritual food;
4 ki go ñu bonñokayenla yaala n ña u Tienu kani, kelima bi den ñu ya tangu ya ñima n ñani U Tienu kani, yaagu n den yegi leni ba. Laa tangu den tie kilisiti.
and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.
However with most of them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
Don’t be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
Let’s not commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.
Let’s not test Christ, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.
Don’t grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.
U Tienu den teni ke likuli diani ki baa tie tipo i dundi, tinba yaaba n ye handuna juodima dana siiga. (aiōn )
Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come. (aiōn )
12 Lanyaapo yua n tama ke o se wan fangi o yuli ki da baa.
Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall.
No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
14 Lanyaapo n buakaaba, yin sani mani ki foagidi leni i buli hoadima.
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 N maadi leni yi kelima yi tie yanfodanba, yin bigi mani mi maadi yaama na.
I speak as to wise men. Judge what I say.
16 Li seli tadiñokaaga tin tuondi U Tienu yaaga yaapo, naani kaa tie mi taanyenma leni Kilisiti soama po kaa? Tin cabidi ya dupen, naani tii tie mi taanyenma leni Kilisiti gbanandi po kaa?
The cup of blessing which we bless, isn’t it a sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, isn’t it a sharing of the body of Christ?
17 Dupen tie yendo, tinba yaaba n yaba moko tie gbananyendi, kelima tikuli taani ki boagidi laa dupen yendo
Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
18 Kpaagi mani Isalele yaaba po, bi ya dini tipadijiedi, naani baa pia taayenma leni U Tienu kaa?
Consider Israel according to the flesh. Don’t those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?
19 N bua ki yedi be? Ke o bulo tie bonmoanla bi? Bi ke ban padi yaala o bulo tie bonmoanla bi? Kalam.
What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons.
You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.
22 Ti baa tieni yeni ki ñuuni o Diedo li mutuoli bii? Ti pia o fidu ki cie o bi?
Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
23 Yi tua: «Liba kuli ki go kua» yeni, ama li bonla kuli ka hani, «Li ba kuli ki go kua, ama li bonla kuli ka todi.
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.
Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbour’s good.
Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,
26 kelima li diani ki yedi: «O Diedo die ki tinga Leni yaala n ye ki niinni kuli.»
for “the earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness.”
But if one of those who don’t believe invites you to a meal, and you are inclined to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for the sake of conscience.
But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For “the earth is the Lord’s, with all its fullness.”
29 N baa ya nilo n waani yi yeni ya pali siedo, mii maadi yi ya pali siedo ka. Be yaaapo ke nitoa pali siedi ba bu leni min pia u sanu ki tieni yaala yaapo?
Conscience, I say, not your own, but the other’s conscience. For why is my liberty judged by another conscience?
30 N ya tuondi U Tienu n jiema po, be yaapo ke bi baa jaligin nni min tuondi U Tienu ya jiema po?
If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for something I give thanks for?
31 Lani, yi ya baa je, leni yi ya baa ño, leni yin baa tieni yaala kuli, tieni mani li kuli U Tienu ya kpiagidi po.
Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
32 Yin da tieni mani yaala n baa teni Jufinba leni yaaba kaa tie Jufinba leni U Tienu n yini yaaba n tuudi ki baa ti tuonbiadi nni.
Give no occasion for stumbling, whether to Jews, to Greeks, or to the assembly of God;
even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
