the aged women likewise in behaviour as becometh saints, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of that which is good;

that they may instruct the young women to be temperate, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be prudent,

chaste, keepers at home, good, submissive to their husbands, that the word of God may not be evil spoken of.
6 Hessadakka, yalaga addati banttana haarana mela zora.
Exhort the young men in like manner to be temperate:
7 Neeni ne huu7en lo77o ooso ubban enttaw leemiso gida. Neeni ne timirttiyan eqqidayssanne ammanettidayssa gida.
in all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works, with uncorruptness in teaching, gravity, sound doctrine that cannot be condemned;
8 Nu morkketi nuna zigiranaw gaasoyiyabay enttaw dhayin entti yeellatana mela neeni borettonna lo77o oda odetta.
that he who opposeth it may be ashamed, having no evil to say of you.
9 Aylleti ubbaban bantta godatas kiitettana mela entta ufayssana melanne enttara palamonna mela zora.
Exhort servants to submit to their masters, to be obsequious in all things,
10 Entti bantta godatappe kaysotoppo. Hessika, nuna ashshiya Xoossaa timirttey, ubba ogen dosettidayssa gidana mela bantta oothiya oosuwan ammanetteyssata gideyssa bessana mela entta zora.
not answering frowardly, not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 Ase ashshiya Xoossaa aadho keehatethay asa ubbaas qonccis.
For the grace of God, that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men;
12 He aadho keehatethay, nu nagaranne ha alamiya amuwaa aggidi, ha wodiyan nuna haaridi, tuma ayyaana de7uwaninne xillotethan daana mela nuna tamaarssees. (aiōn g165)
teaching us that denying ungodliness, and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and righteously, and piously in this present world; (aiōn g165)
13 Nuuni anjjettida ufayssaa gidida gita Xoossaanne nuna ashshiya Yesuus Kiristtoosa bonchcho qonccethaa naagoos.
looking for the blessed hope, and glorious appearance of the great God, and our Saviour, Jesus Christ:
14 Iita ooso ubbaafe nuna wozanawunne lo77obaa oothanaw amottiya ba geeshsha asi kessanaw nu gisho bana aathi immis.
who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 Neeni hayssa tamaarssa; kumetha maatan zora, seera; oonikka nena kadhoppo.
These things speak, and exhort; and reprove offenders with all authority: that none may despise thee.
