Yohaannisa Qonccethaa 11
1 Hessafe guye, taw wadha xam77a immidi, “Bada Xoossa Keethanne yarshsho bessaa wadhdha; yan goynniya asatakka payda.
And there was given to me a reed like a measuring rod, saying, Arise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship at it;
2 Shin Xoossa Keetha kare dabaabay Ayhude gidonna asaas imettida gisho wadhdhonna aggaaga. Ayhude gidonna asay geeshsha katamaa oytamanne nam77u ageena haarana.
and the outer court of the temple throw out, and measure it not; for it shall be given to the Gentiles, and they shall trample upon the holy city forty-two months.
3 Taani kalle ma77ida ta nam77u markkatta kiittana; entti 1260 gallas tinbbite odana” yaagis.
And I will give to my two witnesses commission, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 He nam77u markkati alamiya Godaa sinthan eqqiya nam77u shamaho mithatanne nam77u xomppe wothiya kocata.
These are the two olive trees, and the two lamps, which stand before the Lord of the earth.
5 Oonikka entta qohanaw koykko entta doonappe tami keyidi, entta morkketa dhayssees. Entta qohanaw koyaa oonikka hessada hayqqana.
And if any one will injure them, fire shall come out of their mouth, and devour their enemies: and if any one will injure them, so must he be put to death.
6 Entti tinbbite odiya wode iri bukkonna mela saluwa gorddanaw enttaw maati de7ees. Enttaw haathe suuthi kessanaw, qassi entti koyida mela biittaa dumma dumma gadon dhayssanaw enttaw maati de7ees.
These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain shall be showered down in the days of their prophecy; they have power over the waters, to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth as often as they will, with every plague.
7 Entti bantta markkatethaa onggidaappe guye, ollaafe keyaa do7ay enttana olana. He do7ay entta xoonana; wodhana. (Abyssos g12)
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the savage beast which ascends out of the abyss, shall make war against them, and shall conquer them, and kill them. (Abyssos g12)
8 Entta Goday masqaliya bolla kaqettida gita katamaa ogiya bolla entta ahay yegettana. He katamay leemison Soodome woykko Gibxe geetetti xeegettees.
And their corpses shall lie in the street of the great city, which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt; where also our Lord was crucified.
9 Qassi zerethi ubbaafe, yara ubbaafe, dumma dumma doonappenne kawotethi ubbaafe yida asay entta ahaa heedzu gallasinne bagga gakkanaw be7ana. Entta ahay moogettonna mela asay diggana.
And persons of various people, and tribes, and tongues, and nations, shall look on their dead bodies three days and a half, and shall not permit their corpses to be laid in the graves.
10 Ha nam77u nabeti sa7an de7iya asaa waaysida gisho asay entta hayquwan ufayttana. Bantta ufayssaa bessanaw issoy issuwas imota immana.
And they who dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and be glad, and shall send gifts to each other; because these two prophets tormented those who dwelt upon the earth.
11 Heedzu gallasinne baggafe guye, de7o ayyaanay Xoossaa matappe yidi enttanan gelin, entti denddi eqqidosona. Entta be7ida ubbay gita yashshi yayyidosona.
And after three days and a half, the breath of life from God, entered into them, and they stood upon their feet: and great fear fell on those who looked upon them.
12 Hessafe guye, he nam77u nabeti, “Haa pude keyite” giya qaala saloppe si7idosona. Entta morkketi enttana be7ishin, entti shaaran gelidi pude salo bidosona.
And they heard a great voice saying to them, from heaven, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies looked on them.
13 He saatiyan biittay wolqqaama qaaxo qaaxxin, katamaappe tammantho kushey dhays. Qassi biitta qaaxon laappun mukulu asay hayqqis. Attida asay daro kokkoridi babbidi; salo Xoossaas bonchcho immidosona.
And in that hour there was a great earthquake; and a tenth part of the city fell, and seven thousand titles of men were destroyed by the earthquake; and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 Nam77antho ayyey aadhdhis, shin hekko heedzantho ayyey eeson yaana.
The second woe is past, and behold the third woe comes quickly.
15 Laappuntha kiitanchchoy ba moyziya punnis. Saloppe, “Sa7aa kawotethay nu Godaasinne Kiristtoosas gidis; I merinaappe merinaa gakkanaw haarana” yaagiya wolqqaama qaalay si7ettis. (aiōn g165)
And the seventh angel sounded, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (aiōn g165)
16 Yaatin, Xoossaa sinthan, bantta araatan uttida laatamanne oyddu cimati gufannidi, Xoossas goynnidi,
And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones, fell upon their faces and worshiped God,
17 “Ha77ika kasekka de7eysso, Godaw, Ubbaafe Wolqqaama Xoossaw, neeni gita wolqqaa oykkadasa. Neeni haaranaw doomida gisho, nuuni nena galatoos.
saying, We give thanks to thee, O Lord God Almighty, who art, and who wast, because thou hast taken by great power, and hast commenced thy reign.
18 Ayhude gidonna asay hanqettidosona, shin ne hanqoy yis. Hayqqidayssata bolla ne pirddiya wodey yis. Neeni ne aylleta, nabetas geeshshatasinne ne sunthaas yayyeyssatas, guuthatasinne gitatas, entta oosuwada immiya wodey gakkis. Alamiya dhaysseyssata dhayssiya wodey yis” yaagidosona.
And the nations were wroth; and thy wrath came, and the time of the dead when they should be judged, and a reward should be given to thy servants, the prophets, and to the saints, and to them that fear thy name, small and great; and when thou shouldst destroy those that destroy the earth.
19 Salon de7iya Xoossa Keethay dooyettis; iya giddon Xoossaa caaqo Taabotay benttis. Qassi wol77anthay wol77ammis, deshoy dechchis; daday dhuuqqis; biittay qaaxxis; shachchay bukkis.
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of his covenants appeared in his temple: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.
