1 Yesuusi deriyappe wodhdhiya wode daro asay iya kaallidosona.
So when He came down from the mountain large crowds followed Him.
2 Hekko issi baro hargganchoy iyaakko shiiqidi, iya sinthan gulbbatidi, “Godaw, ne shene gidikko tana geeshshada pathanaw dandda7aasa” yaagis.
And then, a leper came and worshiped Him saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
3 Yesuusi ba kushiya yeddidi iya bochchidi, “Ee, ta shene, paxa” yaagis. Uray iirakka geeyi aggis.
So reaching out His hand Jesus touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 Yesuusi iyaakko, “Ne paxuwa oodeskka odoppa. Shin bada ne geeyada paxoyssa kahine bessa. Ne paxuwas markka gidana mela bada Musey kiittida yarshshuwa yarshsha” yaagis.
And Jesus says to him: “See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a proof to them.”
5 Yesuusi Qifirnahoome katama gakkida wode, issi mato halaqay iyaakko shiiqidi,
As He entered Capernaum a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him
6 “Godaw, ta aylley asatethay gunddin daro harggettidi, son zin77idi de7ees” yaagidi woossis.
and saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, being terribly tormented.”
7 Yesuusi zaaridi, “Taani bada iya pathana” yaagis.
And Jesus says to him, “I will go and heal him.”
8 Shin mato halaqay zaaridi, “Godaw, ne ta soo gelanaw bessiya asi gidikke, shin ne han uttada qaala xalaala oda, ta aylley paxana.
But in answer the centurion said: “Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof; but only speak a word and my servant will be healed.
9 Ays giikko, taappe bollara ta kiitettiya asati de7oosona, qassi taappe garssara taw kiitetteyssati de7oosona. Enttafe issuwa, ‘Ba’ giyade bees; hankkuwa qassi ‘Haaya!’ giyade yees. Ta aylliya, ‘Hayssa ootha’ giyade oothees” yaagis.
For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does.”
10 Yesuusi hessa si7ida wode malaalettidi, bana kaalliya asaakko, “Ta hinttew tuma odays; taani hayssa mela ammano Isra7eele asankka be7abiikke.
Upon hearing him Jesus marveled, and said to those who were following: “Assuredly I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith!
11 Ta hinttew odays; daroti dolohappenne wulohappe yidi, salo kawotethan Abrahamera, Yisaaqaranne Yayqoobara issife imato bolla uttana.
And I say to you that many will come from east and west and sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens;
12 Shin salo kawotethaa laattanaw bessishin attidayssati kare dhuman holettana. Yan enttaw yeehonne achcha garccethi gidana” yaagis.
but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the darkness farthest away. There, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 Yesuusi mato halaqaakko, “Ne soo ba, ne ammanuwatho new hano” yaagis. Iya aylley sohuwara paxi aggis.
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; and let it be done for you just as you believed.” And his servant was healed in that very hour.
14 Yesuusi Phexiroosa soo geliya wode, Phexiroosa machche aayiya qoxo misha harggen sakettada zin77idaaro be7is.
Now when Jesus had come into Peter's house, He saw his mother-in-law laid up and burning with fever.
15 Yesuusi I kushiya bochchida wode qoxoynne mishay aggi aggis. Paxa denddada iya mokkasu.
So He touched her hand and the fever left her; and she got up and began to serve Him.
16 He wode omarssi tuna ayyaanan oykettida daro asata, asay Yesuusakko ehidosona. Ikka tuna ayyaanata ba qaalan kessis, hargganchchota ubbaa pathis.
And when evening came they brought to Him many who were demonized. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,
17 Hessankka nabiya Isayaasi, “I nu harggiya baw ekkis, i nu harggiya tookkis” gida qaalay polettis.
so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet should be fulfilled, namely: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases.”
18 Yesuusi daro asay iya yuushuwan eqqidayssa be7idi, abbaafe hefinthi pinnana mela ba tamaareta kiittis.
Seeing large crowds around Him Jesus gave an order to depart for the opposite shore.
19 Higge asttamaaretappe issoy, “Asttamaariyaw, ne biyaso ubbaa ta kaallana” yaagis.
Then a certain scribe approaching said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you may go.”
20 Yesuusi iyaakko “Workkanatas olli de7ees, salo kafotas keethi de7ees. Shin Asa Na7aas ba huu7iya shemppisiya bessi baawa” yaagis.
So Jesus says to him, “The foxes have dens and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of the Man does not have where He may lay His head.”
21 Yesuusa kaalliya asatappe issoy, “Godaw, taani sinthata bada ta aawa moogada yaana” yaagis.
Then a different one of the disciples said to Him, “Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.”
22 Shin Yesuusi, “Hayqqidayssati bantta hayqota moogo; neeni tana kaalla” yaagis.
But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”
23 Yesuusi baanaw wogoluwan gelida wode, iya tamaaretikka iyara baanaw gelidosona.
Now when He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him.
24 Entti qopponna de7ishin, wolqqaama hobbey haatha bolla denddin wogoloy mitettanaw gakkis. Shin Yesuusi dhiskkis.
And then—a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered by the waves. But He was sleeping.
25 Iya tamaareti iyaakko shiiqidi iya barkkethidi, “Godaw, nu dhayos nuna ashsharkkii” yaagidosona.
So the disciples came and awakened Him saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
26 Yesuusi enttako, “Hinttenoo, ammanoy paccidayssato, ays yayyetii?” yaagis. Denddidi, hobbiyanne gotiya essis. Ellesidi ubbabay si7i gis.
And He says to them, “Why are you cowardly, you little-faiths?” Then rising He rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 Iya tamaareti malaalettidi, “Hayssi, hari attoshin, hobbeynne gotey kiitetteyssi waanida asee?” yaagidosona.
So the men marveled, saying, “What sort of being is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
28 Yesuusi abbaafe hefinthan de7iya Gerggesoone giya biittaa gakkida wode tuna ayyaanay oykkida nam77u asati duufoppe keyidi iyara gahettidosona. Entti daro iitanne yashshiya asata gidiya gisho asi he bessaara aadhdhanaw dandda7enna.
Upon His coming to the other side, to the region of the Gergesenes, two demonized men met Him, coming out from the tombs, very dangerous, so that no one could pass that way.
29 Enttika, “Xoossaa Na7aw, nunanne nenanne aybe gathey? Wodey gakkonna de7ishin nuna pirddanaw yadii?” gidi waassidosona.
And then—they cried out saying: “What do you have to do with us, Jesus, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”
30 Enttafe daro haakkonna guduntho wudey heemettes.
Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many pigs feeding.
31 Tuna ayyaanati Yesuusa, “Ne nuna kessanabaa gidikko, hini guduntho wudiya giddo yeddarkkii” yaagidi woossidosona.
So the demons kept imploring Him saying, “Since you are going to cast us out, permit us to go into the herd of pigs.”
32 Yesuusi, “Biite” yaagis. Tuna ayyaanati asatappe keyidi gudunthotan gelidosona. Gudunthoti ubbay aafo doonara dirggidi bidi abban mitettidi hayqqidosona.
So He said to them, “Go!” And coming out they went off into the herd of pigs. And then—the whole herd of pigs rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the water!
33 Guduntho wudiya heemmeyssati baqatidi katama bidi, hanidabaanne tuna ayyaanay oykkida asata bolla oosettidaba ubbaa odidosona.
So the swineherds ran away, and going into the town they told everything, including about the demonized men.
34 Yaatin, kataman de7iya asay ubbay Yesuusa be7anaw keyis. Entti Yesuusa be7ida wode bantta biittaafe keyidi baana mela woossidosona.
And then, the whole town went out to meet with Jesus; and upon seeing Him they begged Him to depart from their borders.
